These shoes were extremely comfortable right out of the box. I purchased these a few days before vacation, no time to break them in, but there was no need. Highly recommended.

Most comfortable shoe I have had in years. It has a cushion insole that feels like walking on air, yet my foot feels stable and not likely to roll my ankle.

I ordered these shoes for my boyfriend. He has extremely wide feet, so I was doubtful that the W would be wide enough. They fit perfectly, though, and are so comfortable he wears them constantly. He needed a good shoe for walking the dogs, hiking, etc. These are 100% waterproof and extremely supportive. He said his knees never hurt after walking for miles in these. Overall, an excellent shoe.

Typically my husband wears the Moab Ventilator, but we thought the waterproof would be nice, specifically in the winter and when working in the yard. He was a little bit disappointed in the breathability of this shoe, and as a result I think he'll stick with the ventilator as the stuffiness all the time wasn't worth the rare dampness.

Purchased these Jan. 2012, (it's now Aug. 2013) and have used moderately (far from everyday) over the ensuing months on dog walks. Two significant issues, which render these useless to me, have arisen: 1. they are no longer "waterproof"--a walk through dewy grass will leave your socks soaking wet and, I might add, this feature was sketchy from the start, with limited protection from wet weather--nothing like Gore-Tex lined shoes, for example. 2. The sole, at the heel, has worn through the outer layer to reveal soft gray filling; it won't be long until soles are compromised. Finally, made overseas does not inspire quality confidence. I'm looking into Keen, Portland, Made in USA, Wolverine, and Allen-Edmonds, New Balance for future footwear, all brands made here and built, hopefully, to last.

Not great for the money. The fit is way small, at least a size and a half small maybe even two sizes, with an odd feel in the way the insert fits to the sides of the shoe. Laces won't stay tied.

Great hiking shoes, but get super hot and sweaty in dry weather. I'd only get these for winter hiking, or hiking near water sources/streams.

Comfortable and very supportive. And waterproof as well. Usually shoes this practical look like doodoo, but these look sharp and can take a great deal of punishment without losing their good looks.

I like multi functional shoes like these. I can use them when I go down to the gym for a 30 min spin on the bike or just use them for long walk to the store. The sale price at Zappos is really amazing. I have not seen it that cheap anywhere.

I really like this shoe, I wear a 10.5 4E in a NB and I listened to other reviews and ordered a half size larger 11w. I think the 10.5w would have been perfect but I couldn't wait and wore these a few times and so I'm stuck with these, I will definitely be ordering another pair in my actual size.

Great shoe, seems to run true to size and is very comfortable. This is my second pair of Merrell's and I have since bought this same shoe in another color. I live in the Midwest so I purchased the waterproof version.

Great walking/hiking shoes and some waterproofing as well. Can't beat the sale at Zappos as well.

Always have good luck with Merrell walking/hiking shoes. They are a good value and they fit well.

I am buying the merrill mens moab hiking shoe for my wife because of her wide foot, we are having trouble getting the right length. we are exchanging for a half size smaller to a size 7.

This is my third purchase of these unbeatable shoes. Waterproofing did give out on one pair I had for years, but still wouldn't switch. Used Superfeet in prior model, but the latest feels great without.

These shoes are great! However the shoelaces SUCK big time my advice buy the shoes but get either oval or flat laces to replace the round ones

this is my husband's third pair and these shoes offer style as well as good heel support and balance as he is a bilateral amputee. He always is in search for this style at a good price and it is a very durable shoe.

I have another pair of Merrills that I've had for a few years that have been excellent. I bought the Moab waterproofs after foot surgery, needing comfortable shoes. These shoes are excellent. Fit is great (I always need wide shoes) and did not need to size up as in running shoes. These are attractive and very comfortable. Note that they are a stability shoe, which is great if that's what you wear in running shoes. I was so pleased I bought a second pair in another color.

These are great quality shoes. My spouse has worn these for the last two years and continues to reorder them. They're comfortable, supportive and look great with most casual clothing. These come in wide widths which is a priority for him in ordering this shoe. He hopes that Merrell doesn't change the styling or construction of the shoe. So many manufactures today change their tried and true styles and in the process lose those loyal customers that have depended on a particular item of clothing/shoes as a basic of their wardrobe.

I bought this shoe for my wife because she has a wide foot, but I ordered a half size too long.

These are the second pair of this shoe my husband has worn. They are very comfortable!! He uses them as walkers during our wet/snowy winters and never has a complaint about wet, cold, or sore feet. Worth the buy!

I was nervous buying shoes for my husband! He likes wide and wanted the pull up strap in the back. You know how difficult they are to find? He was SO pleased with these shoes, I couldn't believe my ears!
