I love these boots! I bought these boots to replace a previous pair that I had worn to pieces over the last three years. They are the best everyday boots for a busy mom! You can wear them all the way laced up under or over jeans or loosely laced over skinnies. The zipper side makes on and off very easy without messing with the laces every time! Only wish they had some arch support.

If you are looking for comfortable boots that will go the distance, these are not the ones! The leather is incredibly stiff and unyielding, and the soles have little to no padding. The top of the shaft is also very stiff, and irritates the calf of my leg. The toebox is fairly narrow for those with a wide foot, and the leather has almost no give at all, so no expansion or "breaking in," and forget about wearing anything but tights or dress socks underneath - this sort of sucks if you are planning to wear these in colder weather. I got the black ones, as I felt the veneer or finish or whatever it is called on some of the other colors was a bit tacky. They are a good looking pair of boots, but simply not worth the price, given their lack of comfort and the bad fit - I think if the leather was a little finer quality, and a little softer, the fit would be better. I wore them once or twice, and decided that, as they are sturdy, I will keep them to wear when mowing the lawn or working in the garden.

These boots are one of my favorite purchases! They are beyond comfortable and super cute! Every time I wear them I get more compliments than I can count! Money well spent!

I love these boots. The color is great and kind of rustic. They do come with some built in flaws, but I believe they're on purpose, just be prepared. The boots fit and feel great. They smell deliciously of leather. I'm excited to wear them when the weather gets cooler and see how comfortable they are over a long day.

These boots are super high quality. I opened the box and the scent of leather immediately filled the air. Trying them on my foot felt completely secure and supported. I love the convenience of the zipper on the side.

I don't get the negative reviews for these boots...great product. Tough and versatile, but still feminine. Have owned these for over a year and they are well worn, but still look great. I am extremely tough on shoes, and the soles of these still almost look like new. The only thing is I should have weatherproofed these...the leather has started to take on a nasty green tinge - hoping polishing will fix the problem.

I love, love, love these boots. I initially bought these for a trip to the southwest and they've held up great through a variety of terrainsâ??dusty desert, muddy fields, city streets. They're fashionable, sturdy, versatile, and super comfortable. I found the Cognac color to be darker than pictured, but I like it all the same.

The quality is excellent. The color in Cognac is beautiful and goes with a lot of things that I have. It seems really versatile. I returned the Black color because for some reason I just didn't like it nearly as much in that color. The Cognac, though, is beautiful. It's super comfortable. Perfectly true to size. I'm a 10, I got a 10, and it's perfect. I have narrower lower calves, so I was worried it would be too wide up top, but it was fine because you can lace it tighter as well as use the zipper on the side. I have narrower feet, and the lacing also helped with that. A great shoe all around. Worth every penny.

Saw these at the store today and HAD to have them. They are stunningly beautiful in the green and purple. A lovely spring color for Seattle, where, thanks to the climate, I can wear boots just about year round. The leather is soft and they run a little large. Sales associate said he'd found that customers were telling him that these run a little large. There is absolutely no support or cushioning whatsoever in these shoes, (which has been my problem in the past with Maddens) so expect to need some kind of insole. Once I put an insole in they were just right. I normally take a 9 in all kinds of brands, and a 40 in Dansko/Sanita and a 9 or 9.5 in most Fluevogs. The 9 in these felt loose until I put in the insole.

Beautiful boot. I use them for riding boots, they easily fit any bill. Nicely put together. Comfortable boot. Seems to run a little big though. I'm an 8 and could probably used a 7 1/2.

LOVE these boots. So comfy and go with everything. I wear them almost every day. The one complaint i would have is that the front part of both shoes scuffed super easily right away.

I love these boots! They go with everything! They are extremely comfortable and felt like they were broken in from the moment that I started wearing them. I love Steve Madden and these boots outdid my previous experiences with his shoes. Obviously I own a few pairs of his already. You cannot go wrong with these boots. On top of it all, they make my feet look tiny! I could not be happier with them.

I've been pretty happy with these boots. They're fairly versatile-- they're cute and stylely with leggings or skinny jeans, and they look professional under wider cut pants. After a little breaking in, they are decently comfortable. I have somewhat high arches, so if I walk too much in a day wearing them my feet start to hurt, but on a normal day they do fine. My only concern is about them holding up (for the price I'm hoping they'll look nice enough to wear to work for at least a few years). I've had them for about a month and so far they have held up pretty well (scuffs seem to rub off easily), though I got a little nick in the leather from the toe clip on my bike and the leather is lot lighter color underneath the top thin layer.

I love this boot! It looks great with a sundress or leggings or jeans. The Stone works with any color outfit.

These boots are so comfortable! I bought two pairs, one in black the other in brown. They are true to size and look great with long skirts and jeans.

I bought these boots over a year ago and I am still in love with them as much as I am now! They scuff pretty easily but for me it adds to the look. The shoes are really comfortable and easy to put on. A minor setback about these boots is that my laces got worn very easily. The bottom of my shoe is starting to loosen from the leather but that is due to them being older. It is definitely a must buy!

Great boot. Can dress up with leggings, dress or shorts, or go great with jeans. Moderate comfort. Great addition to have in your shoe collection.

The shoe runs a little big (go half a size smaller). Overall i like the look/design of the shoe, although the leather does look a little fake. They are pretty comfortable and decent value for the price.

I bought these Steve Madden Troopa boots in a 6.5 in brown leather. They fit true to size and are a nice quality, real leather and well made, albeit a little flimsy. I've been wearing them regularly for the past few weeks and feel they have held up nicely to the elements of the Midwest, are very comfortable, and are extremely stylish when worn laced up or 'relaxed,' half laced with laces wrapped around and the boot length hanging loosely away from the calf. I'm excited to wear them through the seasons, a great multi wear boot.

I was looking for a boot to wear every day. I got these as an early birthday present in late February, and have worn them almost every day. However, I am appalled by the quality. Within a week the toe was separating from the sole. Since I am alright with fixing small things like this, I glued it back on without complaint. I thought it was maybe how I was walking, that maybe I scraped my toe too often. Now, I do walk a lot. I walk around my campus, I walk around a lot at work, I walk around a lot in studio. But that does not excuse the soles of these shoes from developing large holes in the sole in under two months, especially for shoes that are so expensive. I do not want to have to pay to resole shoes within a year of owning them. Ever. And I now have to have the soles replaced on both shoes, which is going to be half the cost of the boots. I was hoping to at least get two years of service from these before resoling them, but I did not even come close. They are comfortable, and only took three days to break in, but I would have preferred for them to last.

Hands down my favorite pair of boots, I worship Steve Madden because of them. You may want to order half a size up, but other than that they are perfect as is. The quality is great, too. Before I bought them I read a bunch of reviews and many people seemed to agree that the bottom of the shoe would fall apart within a few weeks of wear. I have had mine for 2 years and wear them often (even in the Florida heat), and I have not had any experience with a loose sole or otherwise. I'm planning on buying them in green leather and light brown as well! They actually feel much more durable than any other pair of boots I own - trust Madden, he knows what he's doing! I strongly recommend these, not only are they a must-have for concerts and festivals, but they are a great year-round shoe and belong in every woman's closet.

These boots are great, very well made. They run half a size big in my opinion, so order down. Put some insoles in because they're not super comfortable, but I also walked all around a new city as soon as I got them without blisters.
