I love these shoes and differ with the negative comments of cracking soles. I own three pairs and have not had any issues. I bought them for four of my granddaughters also. They love them. Maybe with younger girls they scuff soles that would definitely wear them down. I do think they should have kept just the two original colors though because they others do wear off fast. For the cost and how fast girls change their styles I think they are good shoes. I would not buy Madden Girl however they were awful as far as comfort. If I wanted them to last forever I would get Frye or some other brand but what kid or women wants the same shoe shoes every winter.

I absolutely love the style of these boots! They are pretty comfortable for "normal" all day walking. I find them slightly snug at the toe cap seam, but that's probably more my foot -- I'm sure the leather will stretch over time. Easy on and off with the zipper along the inner side of the boot. They look good over skinny jeans, or under pants with wider legs. I wasn't entirely sure about stone color (a grey/beige), but I'm glad I purchased it, because now I love it!

I bought these boots nearly THREE years ago and I still wear them frequently and get tons of compliments. They are by far my favorite pair of shoes I own; stylish, comfortable, go with everything. Despite other reviews saying they fell apart, mine have held up really well. A few scuffs, but nothing major (remember, that's from three years of use, primarily in the winter). So I'm not sure if the others were just unlucky or if I'm gentle on my footwear.

Love these super stylish and comfortable! Got a pair for myself and my daughter! Have to add these are a little narrow there perfect for myself because I have long thin feet but someone with a wider foot these would not work...also if between sizes go down a half size. I am normally an 8; the 7.5 fit perfect with some room to spare.

Zappos provided such wonderful service with these boots that I will never shop anywhere else if I can help it! The zip broke after 9 months and they replaced them with overnight shipping. So happy with Zappos and these boots which are loved by my daughter.

I love the shoe, but there are 2 issues that lowered my rating. When I got them, they had an extremely strong smell, I think from the finishing. I have put them outside on the sun to air and been spraying the inside of the shoe with lavender. After 4 weeks it is better but you still smell it. And the inside of the tongue is roughing up my knit pants.

I've had these boots for three years now, if they've been making them that long, and they have not fallen apart or been defective in any way. I'm a rather clumsy person, so I tend to run into things a lot and walk with a heavy step, so the boots are scuffed beyond any repair, but I personally think it gives them more character. A lot of the reviews say that the soles fall off after a few months, but after years of wear, my soles are as intact as the day I bought them, just more run down. I would definitely recommend these boots to anyone and everyone because they go with everything and they are extremely comfortable. I've worn them on all sorts of activities from hiking to nice dinners out. These seriously are the best boots.I would definitely say that they are worth your money. If you take care of them after you beat them up or get them dirty, they will definitely last you a long time no matter what you do in them.

I tried these on in a store and really liked the fit and style. They are soft with a large folded tongue which might seem odd but somehow it works. Very comfortable for all day walking. I gave the style a 3 star because I am not a fan of the color which is a kind of fake looking distressed saddle color that has too much orange in it. But I did not want another pair of black boots and I am hoping they will wear a bit over time and the color will get better. I would have preferred just a rich brown that would distress naturally but they did not make one.

I ordered the Stone and loved the style and color...quality good; however, had to return since the stitching on the ankle rubbed a blister on my heel/ankle which would not soften after time due to stitching. Sorry they didn't work for me.

This is my first pair of combat boots. A lot of the girls I watch on YouTube own these boots. I ordered the taupe ones. They are super cute. I know these will match all my outfits. I wear Superfeet orthodic in them. Otherwise they feel pretty flat. I'm so excited I have them because I lost 25 pounds. A couple of months ago I tried these on at Nordstrom and I couldn't zip them up at all. Now it's not even somewhat of a problem. Zappos has super fast delivery. These arrived in less than a day. I am a VIP member and I am a very happy customer. I couldn't have asked for better service. :)

absolutely adore these shoes.. I bought them and another pair of leather boots so i would have a complete winter collection and I have to say, I wear these about five times a week. The leather is almost buttery soft but at the same time, very durable. They are also SO comfortable! I wear them with thicker socks than normal though because they ran slightly large. But they look great and I get tons of compliments on them every day and everyone wants to know where I got them!

I got these shoes from Nordstrom Rack for a steal. Seven months later they are so destroyed, almost to the point of being comical. My big toe sticks out of my left boot and the bottoms are visibly falling off of my right one. To be fair I did wear them a lot, but I never did any crazy hiking or anything that would cause a well made shoe to fall apart. I had another pair of these boots last year and after a few months of winter they looked really worn and cheap. Now I am just upgrading to a pair of Fryes because they are a much better investment. Moral of the story: These shoes are okay if you are not planning on wearing them much.

I was super excited when I received this shoe especially because the first time Zappos sent it they sent a 9.5 instead of an 8.5 like I asked (but of course Zappos excellent service took care of it quickly!) but anyway this shoe is great! They are super stylish and fit like a glove i wear an 8.5 and the 8.5 is perfect. I will say that at the end of the first day of wearing them my feet were a little sore but I'm sure they will break in. I think the price is worth it I bought this super cheaply ones and these do not compare at all with them. These booties looks like great quality overall I'm happy!

Great boot! I love the look (lace) but that fact you can zipper in and out makes this such an easy to wear stylish boot. Great to wear over skinny jeans or under a boot cut jean. Goes with anything!

These look great, I've worn them almost nonstop since I got them. The ONLY thing is they felt really narrow on my already-narrow feet. But after breaking them in, they are perfectly comfortable. I wouldn't recommend them for anyone with super wide feet, however.

I love the look of these shoes, and have received many compliments. They do tend to chafe and blister the skin right under the ankles, and I managed to scratch the suede in the first week. If you're gentle to your shoes these are fantastic.

I absolutely love these boots! They are so comfortable and look so good. I have not had them for very long, so I cannot speak to their durability. They seem to be made well. The leather is supple and I like the way this smooth leather looks. Be aware that some versions of the Troopa are brushed with something to distress the leather. I have the Mocha which is like that. Still a nice look, just different. These are true to size if you wear thin socks. I will be buying the dark brown and blue, too. They are great boots!

The Troopa is so comfortable! I have bad feet and I can wear them all day long. I don't like the laces on the Camel Leather as much as the other colors but I just switched them out.

I just got the brown color and so far I absolutely love them. They are really comfortable and the leather is really soft. Get them half a size larger and they might fit better.

Gorgeous, rich and versatile color. Vintage but not distressed. These boots look classic and I got tons of compliments but...they are not the most comfortable boot. They are a tad stiff and not super cozy for all day wear if a lot of walking is involved. Having said that, I would recommend them.

After trying several styles that did not fit well or walk well, I settled on these. I have plantar fasciitis, use custom orthoticS when at all possible, and am just past a 10 in size, which makes finding a good fit a challenge! These boots in black a size 10 were perfect, and adjustable enough for my orthotic to fit. I also ordered the gray color, but the fit was different, too small. Zappos returns makes it so easy to get the size right!

Bought these as a gift for my girlfriend. She loves them. She wears them with just about anything. Will definitely by her another pair!
