Excellent! They actually run a little small; normally I wear a 7.5 W, but ordered this in an 8. There is now a little bit of room, but it accommodates the fluffier winter and fall socks. The soft inside of the boot adds a little extra warmth without making my feet feel hot during the day. I have athletic calves, but wear a size 8 pant, so it was hard to find boots that weren't too small in the circumference, and when I tried most 'extra wide' boots they were far too big around and looked like I was wearing big sister's shoes. If you have a 16" circumference these will be just right. The black goes with everything and the buckles add that little extra interest. So far I've gotten compliments every time I've worn them. I am a teacher, and they are more than comfortable enough to wear for ten hours at a go. The only thing I would say is that the middle buckle constantly flips up when I cross my legs, and the leather in the buckle is already beginning to flip up due to this. However, that's a pretty minor complaint in a boot I really like wearing. Zappos was great as usual, returning boot after boot until I found the right one. Nowhere else could I have found my perfect-match boot.

I bought these primarily for the look, but wear them all the time for the fit. I have wide feet and wide muscular calves, and good fitting boots are very hard to find. These fit like a glove, like they were made for me. I am very pleased with these. There are a couple things I would have liked to have in these boots: some cushioning in the foot bed and a heel that doesn\'t make a clicking clomping sound when I walk. Other than that, these are great!

Wooow!!! I've been looking for boots like this for many months. First, I have 16” calves because I practice a lot of sports. Second, it looks like a European boot, with such a style - no heel, be able to use it with jeans inside. Extremely comfortable and the inside is awesome! Size is perfect. I am 8 1/2 and I ordered a 9 only because I like using cotton socks with it. Otherwise, you need to order your exact size! High quality brand by the way... Great Purchase!!!

Ok, I took the chance with the velcro (with my husband’s advice) and... I am pressing them really hard every once in a while. Constantly aware of which shoes I am wearing. But they look fabulous!

Love the boots! I always had trouble finding boots that would fit my calf. This one is like made for me- feels like a second skin! Highly recommend!

Perfect w/ leggings or over skinny jeans! I am petite (5'0, 105 lbs) but have athletic, oversized calves -- which make it IMPOSSIBLE to find boots that fit. Most boots either do not fit my calves, or are very snug, making my legs appear large. These boots however fit perfectly. There is even some space in the calf area, which gives the illusion that I have a slimmer leg. They run a little big size-wise, I went a half size smaller, but you can afford to go a whole size. Overall, very comfortable. Not a huge fan of the buckles, but I'm very pleased overall. Works perfect as a casual day time look over leggings or jeans. Fitzwell needs to make a style with a wedge now so I can wear them on weekend nights out!

Stylin' This boot does, indeed, deliver. It has a lot of style and is quite sexy. The boot is for larger calves and does allow me to wear my pants tucked in...But doesn't scream out "big legs here" by any means. The leather is very soft and they are immediately comfortable. I had to order a 1/2 size up to get the color I wanted...but, in truth, they tend to run slightly large. I often take a 7 1/2, but usually am an 8 in boots. The 7 1/2's definitely fit...but the 8's will do with a bit of a sock. My only wish would have been for these boots to have been higher. They hit you short in the calf and I think it compromises the look slightly. Not enough to change my general satisfaction...but if they had been higher, I would be crazy happy and would have every color available.

Great boot - Boot fits great - looks great - only thing it could use is a little padding on the innersole - so I added one.

Great Fit - What a great boot. I have very large calves, 16 1/2, so it's quite difficult to find boots that are stylish, comfortable and fit my calves. These boots are exactly what I hoped they would be and I highly recommend them. In addition the customer service that I received was amazing. I ordered them in the morning and they were delivered to my home the very next day at no additional cost.

A lovely boot. These are very comfortable right out of the box. Nice soft leather. The calf measurement was right on the mark. They are a little narrower than I expected, but they still fit fine. I ordered a 9W since my feet are unusually wide. Zappos.com has excellent service, they arrived so fast!

Pleasantly surprised - The first wearing they were a bit snug in the toe box area (I have bunions on both feet) but the more I wore them around the looser they got. I have been able to wear them for many hours with no discomfort. I was very pleasantly surprised. It has been the first boot that I have been able to wear with my 16 inch calf and they are comfortable.

RE: Extremely Pleased - This boot is amazingly comfortable. The first time I wore them walking in New York City for over 3 hours and my feet couldn't be happier. The gel insole was great. I wasn't crazy for the front style of the boot with the rounded toe; however, it was worth the buy.

Nice boots - These boots were just what I was looking for. They are fashionable and wide width, wide calf, low heel, and great fit. Very nice quality.

Incredibly comfortable boots!!! These are possibly the most comfortable boots I've ever owned. I wear a 9W and these boots are perfectly sized - lots of toe room, no pinching anywhere. I wore them all day, right out of the box, and they were comfortable the entire time. And the wide calf was perfect for my 16" calves.

My favorite boots - These boots fit so well. They are lined and roomy enough for bigger legs. They don't slip or skid when walking. They look great with skinny jeans and a feminine blouse. They don't need to be broken in at all. My feet were warm and comfortable the first day I wore them. They are my absolute favorite boots.

Very nice boots. Really great quality; however, I am usually an 8.5-9. I ordered the 8.5 and I felt they were a little big. Also, I have a 16 inch calf and these just looked too big and didn't look right sticking out on the sides. Unfortunately, these have to go back.

The sizes for this style seem to be way off. I normally fit a 5.5W in other Fitzwell shoes. The 5.5WW of this boot was at least a size too big in length and a bit tight in width (even though it was WW). Aside from that, it's very high quality leather with a soft fuzzy inside that seems super comfy. Too bad I have to return it because of the size.

These boots are one of the only styles that fit my wide calves. They are not the most comfortable boot I've ever worn but I am keeping them because for the price, the quality is good AND they fit... I have sent back at least 5 other pairs because I could either not zip them up or pull them up over my legs. These are wide enough that a skinny jean or a legging will easily fit in, also. If you have difficulty fitting your wide calves, I recommend trying this boot.

I was so excited to see my Zappos order sitting on my front porch when I got home this afternoon. I ran upstairs and threw on a pair of jeggings to try out my new Fitzell Valencia boots. I was so happy to find a pair of boots that actually zipped up! These shoes were stunning right out of the box. The leather is great quality, and they look very expensive. They are comfortable, and the lining on the inside keeps your feet and legs toasty warm; perfect for cold rainy days. The only negative thing I have to say about the boot is that it gapes a little at the top when it is on. I hope it does not gape even more once the leather stretches a bit after wear. All in all, this is a fabulous boot ladies. Us wide calf girls no longer have to sacrifice style just because we are a bit larger in the calf department. Trust me, buy this boot!
