I wear a size 12 M (leaning toward narrow), with skinny ankles and muscular calves (17.5") on long shins (I'm over 6' tall). Most wide calf boots have a strange shape (too baggy at ankles, foot area disproportionately small for wide calf, etc.), but these fit really well. There is a little extra room around foot for me (could wear thick socks with them), perfectly sized ankle area (no baggy cankle-ish thing going on) and a slim-looking shaft that's high enough for a tall girl to wear (top of shaft is about 1" below my knee). There is enough room in calf to tuck in skinny jeans. I also ordered Edeen, which has snug foot, baggy cankle-ish thing, and a shorter, considerably wider shaft. No contest -- the Valencia boot is plain (in a classy, wear it anywhere kind of way), but has a more attractive heel (not rubber), slims the leg/ankle/foot, and is far more comfortable to walk in than Edeen! Hands down winner over Edeen!

Super comfortable. The extra wide calf is great when I wear with jeans. The heel gel insert is SO nice. I wore these boots recently at a college football game. They lasted through 5 hours of tailgating and 3 hours of game time plus all the walking!

I am 5'1, wear a size 6M, and my calves are disproportionately large compared to the rest of me---not freaky big, but I have never found a knee-high leather boot that would go around my calf, let alone allow me to tuck in jeans. I purchased the Valencia in black. Not only do these slide over my bare legs, I also can tuck in my straight leg jeans (not skinny jeans, not jeggings!), and there is still a little room to spare (which gives the illusion that the calves aren't as full as they really are). The boot is simple yet stylish and so comfortable, I can't believe it. Fitzwell-where have you been all my life? I will definitely seek out the brand in the future.

Just received. I was hesitant about quality because of the good price. Boots are exactly as pictured and described and they are perfect! I have shopped at 14 places and tried on endless boots. I have a large, athletic calf and none of the boots I tried would zip comfortably. These are the perfect fit, color, look, and price. I'm ordering in another color today. True to size as well. I am only 5 feet tall and usually wear a size 5 or 5.5 shoe. I have athletic calves, but narrow ankles, and being short means that my calf gets wider before most boots do. These boots fit my calves comfortably and were not too high for me. My calves are 15 inches and there was a bit of room left over. Nice, basic styling, although the toe area seems like a slightly different shape than what is pictured. I ordered the 5.5, and it is a tad big. The buckle is nicely understated. The lining is really nice and the zipper is smooth. The leather feels like good quality. My first pair of tall boots!

This boot works well for my 16.5 inch calf with a little bit of room to spare in a size 8.5. It does bunch a slight bit in the ankle, but not enough to make me return it. The insole is squishy and very supportive. I did not find the foot part of the boot to be small or tight, in fact it was a little bit big. Be careful not to order the extra wide Fitzwell unless you have a much larger calf than 17 inches (although that is what the product info said on the ones I previously ordered and returned, which were at least 2.5 in bigger).

This boot fits my 17" calf with just the right amount of room to spare--I can tuck in skinny jeans easily, but it's not so wide it looks goofy with a skirt. I found they ran just the slightest bit big. I usually wear an 8.5 and ordered the 8.5 in this. They have enough room to slip in my inserts, just to amp up the arch support--but I like MAJOR arch support, so your mileage may vary. With that modification, these boots are very comfortable to wear and walk in all day.

These boots are gorgeous. They are beautifully constructed and the materials feel and look of very high quality. The kind of quality you come to expect from boots that are twice or three times as expensive as these are. The shoe bed is very comfortable and is lined with a material similar to that of Dr. Scholl's Gel Insoles which makes these a very comfortable pair. I think they are an awesome buy. With all this said, I am returning them. My issue with the boots is in the style. The buckle accent is very cute yet still edgy, but the somewhat pointy toe box gives it a traditional or more westerny vibe that I do not necessarily love or want. It is a shame; if the toe box were a bit more round I would have ordered these in all colors plus spares!

I love my Fitzwell Valencia Wide Calf boots. They do fit well, and I actually have a bit of room left to tuck in jeans if I want. I also like the roomy toe bump. I would buy these again. The only thing I would say is I am thinking about adding an arch - there is a moderate arch in the boot - but some may want more. Very comfortable, however. Nice nap lining.

These just arrived in the post and are adorable! Simple, classy, will work with everything. The calf is a bit tight, I have 18" calves though so that was expected. With wear the leather might relax a bit so I can tuck in jeans but it's still lovely. The toe is a bit longer than seems normal, and I already wear a size 11 so I am a bit self-conscious of that but, overall, these boots are great and can fit nice socks in winter. My first Fitzwell purchase and these definitely won't be my last.

I just received these and they are exactly what I've been looking for! They fit my large calves but don't look like wide calf boots - no elastic or bunching at the ankles. My 24 year old daughter gave them a thumbs up for style. Love them!

I'm 5'2" and have 16.5" calves. I went with the extra wide boots and they are snug but I am able to wear them over jeans! I've been looking for boots for about 5 years now! Couldn't be happier!

I love these boots. They are wide enough for my calves and very comfortable and stylish. I get compliments on them a lot. Great quality of leather and craftsmanship! I ordered a 9, but wear an 8 1/2 and they fit perfectly. I always order up a bit when ordering boots.

I have little feet and wide calves and have never found boots to fit -- these are perfect! I plan to order more!

These boots were very comfortable and stylish. I have always had large calves, and these allowed enough space to tuck in skinny jeans. The length was quite flattering. You can get an idea from the video. The buckle is a little wimpy but overall I really like the boots and wear them often.

I must have the world's largest calves because I have searched far and wide for a boot that fits them. These fit over jeans! I had to order a size too big because they were out of my size, so I will be returning them. I'm really sad because I love these boots. They are well-made and the leather is nice and soft, but sturdy, too. Definitely a good buy if you have large calves but still want a nice leather boot.

I've had difficulty for over a year in finding a wide calf that was truly a wide calf and still stylish. This is a comfortable boot, fits, and I still feel modern in it.

If you have a wide calf these boots are the ones for you! My calves are 15.5” and I can tuck jeans into these boots. I purchased them in brown and they are a deep, dark, coffee brown. The lining is divine and soft. These boots are really worth the money, may go back and get the black ones, too. Stop searching for wide calf boots, these are it!!

Just received my boots and love them! First time I've gotten to wear full boots in several years, due to my muscular full calves. They are not snug around calves but that's okay. Great for wearing thick tights, leggings, or stuffing jeans in boots, very comfy too! Very happy.

Beautiful leather and classic style. Buckle on the side makes a statement and calf width fit without being too tight! Wish it came in more colors. I bought the brown and black.

Boots were great for wide feet and had a wide calf, but the calf was too wide. Had to return them.

I could not believe this boot went over my calves with blue jeans on. Just love the look...up to my knees. It's the first time I could achieve this look. I have large calf muscles and didn't think it would work. Left boot is larger than the right...it could be my legs? They are a keeper. Thanks Fitzwell. I have not worn them long enough to comment on comfort but they are very lightweight and should be fine. I must also comment on how fast Zappos got these to me...the very next day. Amazing service!

These are great boots! Sadly, the shaft is too wide and it looks like a scrunch boot on me. I've ordered a different pair. Thank you!
