Excellent fit and performance. My feet stay completely dry in these, and they're comfortable for all-day wear. They are not super warm though, so if you plan on wearing these in very cold climates, I would make sure to size them when you are wearing thick socks.

These boots were a little more than I was planning to spend. I am glad that I decided to go with them! These are the best, most comfortable boots that I have ever owned. Easy-on, easy-off, great support without painful little rubbing spots. They were great right out of the box- no break-in period. I have worn them all day, and my feet were not sore, tired or unhappy. It snowed today - I was warm, comfortable and dry... need I say more?!

Perfect fit right out of the box. I ordered these after ordering the Montara II, which were also comfortable and lightweight. These boots are not heavy or clunky feeling. I love the fact that linings are colorful too. I would love to have ordered the Winetasting as I had in the shoe, but it always seems to be out of stock in my size. Maybe I'll luck out soon. As always, I can't say enough about how GREAT Zappos' customer service is.

I love these boots! They are comfortable with all different types of socks, give support in the ankle area. They are great for walking and are very warm.

This boot is fantastic! No break in time needed. They were so comfortable right out of the box. Wore them for an 8 hour shift at work where I'm constantly on my feet and my feet couldn't be happier! They were warm without being clunky and really light. Also got lots of compliments on them! I ordered a 7, a half size bigger than I normally wear, because of the reviews, but I ended up getting my normal size. Even with thick hiking socks on it felt much better in my 6.5.

These boots are incredible! I ordered Salomon Snow Trip & North Face Artic Guide also, so I could compare and these were by far the best. Crazy comfortable from the first time I put them on, with an excellent foot bed that rivals some orthotic shoes. Lightweight, not clunky at all; not to mention, super cute! Thanks to the reviewer who suggested ordering 1/2 a size up. I did, and they fit perfectly!

I really like these boots. I was going from Florida to upstate NY and I knew, once your feet are wet, it's all over. We didn't get snow until later in the week but we went on hikes in the very cold. They are stable, and allow you to access uneven terrain. They are very lightweight. For temps under 32°, you will need to use thick socks. I get a 1/2 size bigger and that works perfectly. When it snowed/rained, my feet stayed dry. I was only outside for about an hour, so not sure about long term, but it would seem that they would remain dry. Great investment.

I bought these as a gift for my daughter. She loves them. They are comfortable, have all the features she wanted and look good. She wears a size 9 and they make her feet look smaller.

These are crazy comfortable right out of the box. I got these after carefully reading dozens of reviews, other brands, makes etc. I bought these for a trip which will include both mountainous and jungle hiking, so I wanted lightweight and waterproof. It looks like I got the right boot. Of course, this review may be more valid writing it after the trip, but in wearing them around just doing errands etc, they are incredibly comfortable and feel solid with great ankle support. I needed boots to go above my ankles to protect me from snake bites in the jungle otherwise I would have worn an old pair that I already had.

I love these boots! They are very lightweight which I wasn't expecting. They are very comfortable have proved to be waterproof so far. They are also stylish for hiking boots!

Would've kept except a bit too narrow across toes/ball of foot...sad as they felt nice otherwise...flexible, supportive and cute.

I love my Ahnu Montara Boots. I ordered a 1/2 size larger for thick socks. I have had foot surgery on one foot and still have a bunion on the other, and the boots offer enough toe space without being too bulky. They are not heavy and really felt great from the start - no breaking in needed.

These boots are just as great as so many other reviewers have reported. They offer foot-cradling comfort, no break-in period, with great support for your ankles. They are easy to get on and take off. The soles offer great traction on a wide variety of surfaces. The first time I wore them I tested them on a 5-mile hike along a trail that included steep, rock-strewn paths, forest, and a salt marsh - and ice along the route. These waterproof boots can handle them all no problem, and my feet stayed dry. The tread gives you a secure grip. They run a half size small, so plan to size up accordingly. Cushy arch support. Well worth the money.

I have had these for 6 months, they are the BEST boot I have ever owned. Very supportive, stiff around the foot, flexible around the ankle. I never worry about slipping or falling. They feel secure. I wear these when ever I know I'll be on my feet for a long time, a walk downtown, a hike, or I just did an 8 hour job laying carpet, I was up and down and running around all day, my back was broken in pain, and my feet felt GREAT! I recommend these to Everyone! I'm getting my 2nd pair today, because they are totally worth it!

Love these boots. No breaking in required. I appreciate the ankle support, especially in rocky terrain, and the way these boots hold up in wet conditions. Had a tough time choosing a color because they're all so appealing. Great footwear!

These are the best hiking boots that I have ever owned. They are comfortable out of the box and I never want to take them off. Good gripping on the bottom of the boot, so no slipping while you are on the trails. I typically wear a 7½ or 8, and I ordered these in an 8 and they fit perfectly. They look nice, too - very well made.

Best boots.... ever. I bought a pair last year when I sprained my ankle, and I was worried about the support for my ankle and my bad knees/back. These were the best! I wore them every day through the winter while my dumb ankle took its sweet time healing, and then I've been wearing them at least twice a week since. I bought a second pair, just in case they discontinued. This style.

Love these boots! Very comfortable, great support for walking and hiking. The inside of the boot feels really good on your feet. I like the color and styling too! They fit great right out of the box, no break in time. I always wear a 10 W, but took a chance and ordered these in a 10 1/2 B and they fit really good. I would order these boots again. As with my other Ahnu hiking shoes I went up 1/2 size and they are perfect. I'm a solid size 8, bought an 8.5 to have room for a winter athletic sock. They fit wonderfully and not to heavy. Color is true to the picture too.

Though I haven't actually spent time in the boots yet until we go on a trip later but I have worn them around the house and they are a perfect fit, so comfortable and light. I love them. As close to stylish as one can get in a hiking boot!

This is a nice light duty hiking boot. Nice color. Comfy fit. Plenty of toe room, good arch support and I like the anti-roll feature and that it's waterproof. I like having the ankle support. I walked on some very uneven ground in a meadow and felt well supported.

I just moved to the mountains of Guatemala and this has been my everyday shoe. I have been a solid size 8 for as long as I can remember and this shoe fits perfectly to size. The high ankle has saved me several sprained ankles and the shoe itself is lighter than my tennis shoes. I do have an abnormally high arch in my foot, but the shoe does provide ample arch support. I would recommend this shoe to anyone who hikes around a little or a lot. There was almost no breaking-in required, as well.

These boots were incredibly comfortable from the first time I put them on. Very soft. No blisters after a seven mile hike. My only complaint is that the "Event" fabric that lines the inside of the boot makes my feet hot and sweaty. I don't normally have this problem. Haven't worn them in the rain yet, so can't accurately report their waterproofness.

Very cute boots, but too narrow for my wide foot. Would be great for someone with a more normal foot than mine!

This boot was comfortable for a 2-mile hike right out of the box. It has this incredible rocker motion that takes pressure off the foot. It is also very lightweight and has good tread for winter hiking. The boot is designed to allow room for thick hiking socks or layers. I have problem feet -- narrow heels, wider in front, bunions, and heel spurs. If these are comfortable for me, they'll be comfortable for anyone. Highly recommend.
