This is a very comfortable, cushiony and substantial shoe. It is well-ventilated, attractively styled; I'll order again!

I have been buying the Beast for years. A great shoe. I now wear them with slacks and other good clothes. While dress shoes look nice they really aren't very comfortable.

The beast is flat and wears slowly. I supronate and this was the first shoe that can, with proper lacing, hold up to that. (Re. arch support, my arches are higher than the shoe's so I can't comment on that.)

Love them. Perfect fit. Improved styling over past year Beasts. Very comfortable.

Great shoes! Lots of cushion and comfortable and yet not hot. Wonderful to have selection of a 4E's.

Second pair of these, but used for walking rather than running. Bought a cheaper pair of Brooks first, but returned as just uncomfortable. These are light and work well with orthotics. Wish they did an all black model.

I have been a runner for 42 years. These shoes give the most support I have ever had in a running shoe. Been running in the Beast for many years. The only problem that you may have is the weight. With all this control, they are a bit heavy. This is the only thing about the Beast that may take some time to get use to. However, they are very durable shoes too. If you need control, these are the shoes for you.

I bought these shoes and I was skeptical about them. I have been running with them for a week and I can tell you that I am so satisfied with the performance that I get with these shoes. The support I get is just excellent, there is no no more aching on my feet after my runs. I have extreme flat feet and these are the best shoes that I have worn to run.

My boyfriend loves these shoes. He has feet for which it is difficult to find comfortable shoes. Where we work we stand and walk/run around all day, so he needed something with extra support. They are kind of bulky looking but he loves them. We sized up 1/2 a sized based on reviews from the Brooks website. But they didn't have free shipping and returns like Zappos so we ordered here!

Great shoe for big people...me 6'5", 250 lbs., size 14. The shoe is heavy but tiny fraction of my body weight. Excellent roll control with my custom foot beds. Can't gauge durability yet.

Love the shoes and the convenience of buying them from Zappos! Orders some from shoe store and it took a month and they sold them before calling me that they were in. You rock!

Bought this for my son who is disabled. It is an awesome support for his disabilities.

My shoe size is typically 11.5 but I purchase 1/2 size larger in a running shoes. I found that I needed a full size larger for these shoes.

Excellent shoe for walking and running. Excellent support in toe area, arch, and heel. This is an all around shoe! Will definitely purchase this shoe again. I highly recommend this shoe.

Great shoe! Wide (EE) really is wide. Order a half size larger than your regular shoe size. A very stable shoe with excellent arch support.

I love these shoes. They are the only running shoes I have found that fit my wide and pronating feet, as well as provide good support while running.

My husband loved these shoes so much he asked me to order a second pair. He has had joint replacement and we walk several miles a day so he needs a shoe that offers both good support and cushioning. After trying several different brands and styles, The Beast is perfect! The shoe does run a bit narrow and he ended up needing a wide, but with Zappos, no problem! We just returned the regular width and the Wide was here the next day, He is very pleased with both the shoes and service provided from Zappos.

These were the most comfortable wide shoes that I could find. If you have flat feet these shoes are amazing because they help overpronators like myself. They are very comfortable shoes. They do wear out pretty quickly but they are my third pair in the last five years. I wanted to try a different brand to see if there was something I liked better but no other brands matched the comfort. I am not a huge fan of the colors available but they are great shoes.

Let me say that I have really troublesome feet. Big...size 14 with wide (4E)ball with narrow heel, flat feet, bad pronated. Have always worn orthotics, and now at 59 I developed very painful neuropathy. Wearing good mid height boots with rigid support a full size bigger (15) seemed the only way to go for best comfort. Sneaks were not even an option due to the poor support of most brands. My foot dr. suggested this sneaker since it has less of the hourglass share of most sport shoes. With the additional width under the arch rather than being narrowest point of the shoe it supports the arch that emulates the support of a rigid boot construction in a sneak. I typically change shoes at least three times a day just to eliminate different pain points. I have been able to wear the "Beast" for a whole day and actually have some thing that doesn't look like boots from Young Frankenstein. This Beast was created to support bigger than average runners who usually have trouble balancing fit with function and pain. Hats off since these really are a blast of fresh air to us big guys. I don't like them priced so high but between you and me I spent twice this much on a pair of shoes from "Specialty Shoes Fitters" and have not been satisfied. I guess they did their marketing homework or simply asked the big guys what they want. Either way I just bought a second pair and am likely to grab a third. Most big footers buy this way since we don't have many choices so when we find a shoe that not only fits but functions we stock up in different colors and hope they don't get discontinued before we run out. Buy!

For those with flat feet, the best sneakers on the market, by far.

I have gotten excellent service from Zappos and all the shoes I have purchased have been true to size, including the Brooks Beast. Since I work on concrete all day at a retail hardware store I need good shoes that fit... and I get that from Zappos.

I have flat feet and my doctor said I should get a good sneaker and he said I should get the Beast. I have just bought my second pair and I love them. Three years and no foot problems.

No break-in required! These bad boys are ready to go right out of the box. My foot spur calmed down and comfort was increased. I like the dark color so it hides dirt better. This is my third pair of Brooks Shoes, my favorites!

This is my third pair of "The Beast" by Brooks. I use them for walking and think they are incredible. That says it all. Since I have absolutely flat feet and plantar fasciitis, I wear the shoes with an orthotic insert. It is no problem for me to blend the two. As to Zappos: they are a great company to deal with. The purchase and shipping process was professional and friendly at the same time.

I'm a large fella and I walk long distances. These shoes keep everything stable. I'm a forefoot striker so I always wear out the fronts - about 3 - 4 pair a year. Sometimes Zappos sends me a free pair because I'm a nice guy. I like that about Zappos.
