I received these boots as a gift a couple of years ago and I love the style and fit. Despite that, there are some big problems with these boots. First of all, the soles are very slippery. There is little depth in the tread right away when you get them (which should have been an indication of things to come), but I kept them anyway and learned to walk with care. Second, the shaft of the boot is adjustable, but if you make them any smaller than how they come, they look goofy. The elastic panel looks all bunchy. I ended up just wearing thick socks to compensate. Then, this year on Halloween, I ended up with wet feet for the first time and to my surprise, found that both soles had split clean through to the insoles across the pad of my foot. I took them to a cobbler, as the uppers are still in perfect condition, and he told me there is nothing he could do. He also indicated that I should not expect to see this kind of wear until 7-10 years of heavy use. I wore these shoes for two years, four times a month and never in summer. Since the shoes are a couple of years old, the company will not replace them (warranty only lasts a year and specifically states it will not cover wear on soles!). I searched online to figure out how to save them myself and found numerous reviews of people having this same thing happen to them in as little as three months! I can not recommend that anyone purchase these boots. I will never purchase Keen shoes again. Save your money!

These are my favorite boots. I wear them all the time with leggings or jeans. They are super comfortable - I can wear them all day long. The are pretty casual because of the buckles on them, but I can dress them up a bit with the right dress or tunic top. I've gotten lots of complements when I wear them with leggings and a tunic. They can get a bit hot in the summer, but they are tall boots after all. My sister has a pair of the mid-calf ones. I don't think they make them anymore. She's had them for years and wears them almost every day, even in the summer. The soles finally wore down, but she loved them so much that she got them resoled.

After trying several pairs of boots, I finally settled on these. They are super comfortable. The boot is too large in the calf. However, I've accepted that with a 13.5 inch calf and a size 11 foot, I will never find a boot that is slim enough in the calf for me. I was at least able to move the buckle over, though it does create a slight bulge in the side of the boot. I like the style and really needed some black boots, so despite some flaws, they are keepers.

Very cute boot! I have been looking for a comfortable boot for about a hundred years it seems. I ordered this style and another similar Keen style. This was true to size, good support and well made. The buckles made the calf adjustable, I wore it tighter and a friend who has larger calves wore it looser. they looked great on both of us. I found them to be comfortable. I couldn't choose both and had to make a decision. This boot is able to hug the ankle a little tighter because of the zipper and I could feel it rub ever so slightly so I chose the other style.

Beautiful boots. Clean, feminine, not clunky. I read the reviews that there was a problem with the sole cracking & so I called Keen. They said that there was a problem with the sole back in 2011 & it was only with the shoes coming out of that factory. They took care of everyone. They give a one year warranty, she said, & if it was a serious defect, such as with the sole, they would remedy the problem outside the warranty period. Love the boots & I'm willing to give them a try.

The style is what I've been looking for. However, even though it's labeled with my size it is at least 2 sizes smaller.

Pros: I really like these boots. I had to wear them immediately for a lot of walking and they did great, no sores, right out of the box! They look good and will keep your feet dry better than most. Cons: I wish it had better traction, sole has wimpy traction. A little higher heel would look a bit more dressy too but that isn't critical.

I loved these boots initially but then the zipper broke. I contacted Keen and they informed me that they only guarantee their winter boots for one winter season. Maybe you will never have problems with the boots, just know that if you do, Keen will not help you. Buy from REI so that you have some recourse. I will never buy another pair of Keens since they do not stand behind their winter boots.

I first saw these on a friend and loved the style. She raved about the comfort. I needed a no heel boot I could walk in so I purchased these. I absolutely love these. When I first tried them on, I worried that they were too big since I ordered half a size bigger based on reviews, but I wear them with thick socks and they fit perfectly. I was also concerned the leather at the ankle was too stiff but they actually have softened up beautifully. These are my go-to boots for my many trips to New York City when I am walking miles all day. They can be dressed up or down. I always receive compliments. These are the best boots that I have ever owned!

I bougth these boots two years ago and they are now falling apart...the zipper at the ankle is busted, and the Seams at the heals have been falling apart for a long time! I loved them while they lasted...and would replace them but this price is way too much for a boot that has been around so long and is the quality it is. I think I got them for less here on Zappos two years ago...so that's not cool! Guess I better look for something new!

Very comfortable and so cute! Normally wear 1/2 size larger in Keen shoes and the boots were the same.

WOW what a comfortable boot. I bought these to take on a trip to Germany. I wanted something waterproof that was comfortable for tons of walking. I'm either a 6 or 6.5 so I ordered up to leave room for thicker socks and more calf room for my athletic calves. I have been wearing them at home to break them in (they don't need it) and they are great. I was worried I was going to have to send them back - I really had to wrestle getting them over my larger calves. I bought them because Zappos said the diameter was 15.5 - which it might be but it was very hard to get them zipped the first time. However, once I did (there is a small elastic panel to allow them to expand) they were comfortable, and the leather actually stretched enough so that the next time I wore them I got them zipped with no problem. The black pair is next!

These fit true to size and are a comfort DREAM!! I have average size calves and they fit so nice even with leggings or skinny jeans. You can wear these an entire day. Great quality leather too. I wish I had extra cash because those brown ones are begging to be under my Christmas tree. :)

Love these boots! My crippled feet (bunions, hammer toes) appreciate the wide toe box and removable insoles. The leather is soft and the boots are nice and plain looking. I do wish the shaft was narrower as the adjustable buckles can only help a little bit without scrunching the leather strangely, but overall I am pleased with the purchase.

I am a lover of Keen shoes and totally dig these boots. Great for all weather and look sharp. No breaking in needed. Took them on a recent trip to Boston, these boots are made for walkin'!

I bought these boots for a fall trip to Europe. I needed comfort, warmth, and style - in that order. These boots have it all. I wore them continually for a month. They looked cute with a skirt for city touring, and worked great under boot cut jeans for walking in the French countryside, and on the wet Marshy moors of SW England. My feet stayed dry, I stayed warm, and the cushioned foot bed and soft leather uppers kept my feet happy, even on 4 and 5 mile treks. The toe box is rounded and roomy, but without the almost clownish look of many keen shoes. Another reviewer mentioned slipper soles. I did not find that to be the case. I walked on wet pavement, wet grass, and climbed on wet rocks without slipping. My calves are 13½", and there is room in the boot shaft to tuck skinny jeans inside if I want to. Bottom line? After much deliberating, I am really glad that I bought these boots.

I liked the look of this boot online, but when they arrived, they were way too big in the calf, so looked very unattractive on me. Not so comfy either. Zappos service great as always.

Love, love, love these boots. Fit great, feel great and look great. I have muscular calves so someones have trouble finding boots - these were just a bit snug when I got them but have broken in well. I can even wear them over my skinny jeans!

Not for wide calves. I am average weight but have always had ample calves. I couldn't come close to zipping these up, unfortunately. FYI for those like me.

These are comfortable and nice. I don't know if they are what I'm looking for: good with jeans or funky skirts but probably not nice enough for a professional setting. The Keen Cush footbed is soft, but doesn't come out if you want to use orthotics. I sized up half a size and could fit orthotics. The calf is wide for me and using the belts to adjust it didn't work, as the goring doesn't go all the way down and they bunched up. Bottom line: good casual boots, maybe not great with skirts.

I love the color and cut of this boot, but the fit is odd. It is too big in the heel and too tight across the toes. Too bad, as I really wanted them to work. The color is a green grey that I would wear alot. I am not crazy about how sqaure the toe box is either.

I absolutely love these! These are the perfect casual and comfortable boots. I receive many compliments when wearing them. The size is true. I love the fact there is room in the calves, too.

I have arthritis in my hip and shoes and boots are a problem generally. Someone who stands on concrete/stone all day in Keen boots recommended them to me so I decided to give them a try. I got them yesterday, wore them around the house for a while, then wore them from 7:30 this morning until 5:00 tonight and they still felt fantastic. Because of my hip issues I bought a pair with a zipper - it is nice and long so it is easy for me to get them on and off myself (no asking my poor husband to pull them off as is usual with boots). They are ridiculously comfortable, easy to walk in, and I plan to buy at least one more pair! Probably in brown, but who knows - as good as I feel I may just get crazy and buy a funky color! Or maybe both!

I put these boots on for the first time today and wore them for 12 hours straight. They are so comfortable - they feel like slippers! I love the look and received quite a few compliments.

I absolutely love these boots. I have big (size 11) problematic feet (low arches, plantar fasciitis, etc.) and so usually have a very hard time finding shoes that fit and that are comfortable. These not only fit the bill but are cute to boot. (No pun intended!) There is plenty of room for my Birkenstock orthotic. My only disappointment is that the leather finish scuffs quite easily. Luckily I was able to find the exact color of green shoe polish at my neighborhood shoe repair shop. I am thinking of getting them in another color.
