I love these boots! They are very comfortable. I will say that I am normally a 7 1/2 and I did have to send the first pair back to get a 7. The 7 are a better fit and I love wearing these boots. Great purchase!

Just got these boots in today. Out of the box the leather is scratched up. Bummer because the brown leather color combo is beautiful. They are also huge. I would say a half size smaller would do it. The toe area is a nice width but just too long. The leather is very soft and supple a great quality boot. I am going to order them a half size smaller and in black; hopefully they will not scratch up like the brown.

I could not be happier with these boots. They are soft as butter, richly colored (with a little variation/ombre), a little "different" with the back detail, and absolutely gorgeous! I had to go down half size. Usually an 8½ is a 39 but here it was a 40 so I got a size 8 and that fit perfectly.

After searching for a simple, knee-high, tan boot, I finally found this one, and I am so happy I invested in it. I have full calves and really appreciate the fit on these. The ankle isn't too loose, just enough room to tuck in the pair of jeans. They are really comfortable; I can wear them all day. Plus I get a lot of compliments on them. I'd recommend them to anyone!

Absolutely love these boots!! They are comfortable and feel like I've worn them forever! I would recommend the Born brand to everyone! The price is very reasonable.

I have a wide toe box, a bunion and hammer toes on both feet. These boots are very comfortable, warm and look great. Easy on and off.

I finally broke down my resistance to purchasing a pair of boots and got with the trend. These are my first pair, other than some cow"girl" ones which rarely see the light of day. I "love" these boots! Compliments, comfort & fit a real surprise - yay. A thicker sock works best and the adjustable buckle for my larger right calf extremely convenient, otherwise they would have been returned. The leather and boot style has that casual feel, which also works for my laid back lifestyle. Recommend.

I love these boots! I have been searching for simple, black, riding-style boots and these fit the bill exactly when plenty of others failed.

Love them. Very comfortable for a long day. They do scratch easily but polish out in a snap with a neutral leather lotion.

Great boots! So comfortable right out of the box! I tried on many boots and none felt as good as these on my feet and calves (nice and wide on top!) I usually wear 8 1/2 in most shoes but ordered 8 because other reviews said they ran a little big and 8 fits perfect. Nice sheen on leather, can be dressed up or down. Love them.

These boots fit well. They are snug but not tight for a size 6. I like the simple styling, so that I can wear them under pants or with a skirt or dress. I have plantar fasciitis and after one afternoon of wearing the boots, needed to put in an insert to cushion my heel and to give more arch support. Since doing that, I have no complaints.

Love these boots! Bought them in brown leather first and loved the style and fit so I decided to buy them in black. Get many compliments on them. Great quality and styling.

I just got these today and I am thrilled! I would say that they are the most comfortable boots that I have worn. I have been breaking them in and had them on for an hour with heavy socks and my feet are fine (I have a bunion on my right foot).

These boots are perfect! Wide enough at the calf and roomy at the toes. The leather is nice. Can't wait to wear them.

Extremely comfortable. Warm. Have received several compliments. Usually wear with tights and a skirt in cool/cold weather or over skinny jeans. Only thing I wish was a bit different is for the back of the boat to not have the open area.

I LOVE these! I literally wore them for 15 hours the first day I had them and had no problems. They are lovely, comfortable, stylish and just perfect for the daily boot. Easily dressed up or worn casually. Love, love, love.

Bought these yesterday... They absolutely run at least 1/2 size large. If in doubt, buy the size of the gym shoe you wear, not the size of the dress shoe. I am a solid 9, and I didn't even realize that these were the 8.5, and really would have gone down to the 8 if they had been in stock. They are cute- maybe cuter than the pic/video here. They are light and comfy- I know I'll wear them for comfort and for style, not just one or the other. I found the shaft to be just a tad roomier than others

I needed a basic black boot for work and this fit the bill. I'm tall and sometimes I actually don't want to be the tallest women in the room. So these are comfortable and just classy enough for work and with the opening in the back a little sexy too. Jeans can slide inside easily. I've been a Born lover for years, and usually get a little more of a heel, but these are so comfortable I forget I'm wearing them!

Seems to fit different body types well with the spacing at the back buckle, and are comfortable with no break in period. I thought they might lack in support because they feel light on, but have worn them several times now all day without any trouble. The traction is good on pavement and trails through the local park. May even order a second pair in brown.

These boots are fabulous for anyone who has a wider calf! They look great on and I have received so many compliments. They have a stylish but rustic look as well (the leather scuffs quite easily but that is part of the look)so you can dress them up or down - so happy I bought these for myself!

These boots were super comfy right out the box. I have a wide toe box and "healthy" calves and returned 3 pair before finding these (sorry Zappos!) I left for Italy the day after I got them, so no chance to break in. I wore them almost exclusively for 2 full weeks of walking, and never had a problem. I do wish they were slightly more dressy, though. The Borns with the higher heels, all have narrower toe boxes and some have narrower shafts. If only these had a 1/2" higher heel, they would be a 5 star for style. As it is, I'll take the comfort, though! (Note I am usually a size 8, but a 7 1/2 in Borns, and these were no exception).

I'm really pleased with these boots. If you want a pair of basic black boots, these are a good choice. They don't have a ton of personality, but I think the comfort and versatility make up for it. They work with a skirt at my business-casual office or with skinny jeans or a denim skirt on the weekend. The foot bed has just the right amount of cushion, and they felt broken in within about a mile of walking. They're *so* comfortable. One of my calves is 16" and the other 16.5" and I wear a 9.5 shoe. I was concerned that the shaft would be too narrow, but it's totally fine. Because the top in back is open and there's an adjustable buckle, I was able to get a comfortable fit on both legs. They'd fit someone with slightly wider calves than mine.

Fabulous, comfortable boots! I have a very high arch that usually causes problems with boots. The zipper & supple leather of these boots make it a non-issue! Super comfy right out of the box, too! After I bought these in black, I came back to awesome Zappos to purchase them in tan!

True to size, comfortable. The main thing I am so impressed by is the FREE next day shipping by ZAPPOS. I ordered these boots on a Tuesday afternoon and rec'd them before noon on Wednesday! Woohoo!

These boots are very comfortable. I didn't have to spend any time at all breaking them in (which is one thing I really hate about new leather shoes). The leather is very soft. It does seem to scuff easily, but that will be easily fixed with a dot of shoe polish. My shoe size is right between a 6.5 and a 7, so I usually order 7 in boots, loafers, tennis shoes, etc. I ordered a 6.5 based on the reviews and this was just right.
