These are going back. I have flat feet and suffer from plantar fascia. From what I read, I was excited about these shoes because so many had said they were comfortable. I was also intrigued by the negative heel design. When these arrived I tried them on in the house and walked around a bit. I have wide feet and they accommodated that. I didn't think they were bad at all, until I wore them to work. The negative heel did not work for me. When I walk I am quite hard on my heels and they need cushioning. It felt like walking in shoes I had for a really long time and the heel had worn away. Also, the strap is way too thin. If you're walking around in shoes that look orthopedic and cumbersome, why would they put such a thin strap? Since they were what kept the shoes on my feet, each time I took a step it would put pressure on the tops of my ankles to the point they hurt (it wasn't because I had them on too tight). When I got home, that area of my feet were red. And finally, as I mentioned, these shoes when viewed in person are quite thick and ugly looking.

I have bought various colors of this style shoe. All i can say the feel of them on my feel is fantastic especially when i three surgeries on one foot!!!

I thought I might not like the color but was willing give it a try. I was worried about the shading but the color overall is darker than shown. I like them, color and all. Even with the holidays they arrived fast. I really love these shoes and have worn Earth negative heels for years. My regret is that Earth is limiting the styles. Glad to have Zappo carry them. Thinking already about getting another pair to have when these wear out since styles and colors in my size 7.5 are few.

This shoe is comfortable and looks pretty on my feet. I have foot issues such as plantar fasciitis, metatarsalgia, and high arches. After wearing them the arches softened to a degree of comfort. They were stiff at first. I really like these cute shoes with jeans or dresses.

I love these shoes! I tried them on when they arrived and didn't take them off the rest of the day. They are so comfortable. I wasn't sure about the sizing as sometimes I can be a 7 or 7.5 depending on the shoe. Due to what was in stock, I ended up buying a 7 in the bordeaux and 7.5 in pewter. The 7s fit perfectly and the bordeaux is a beautiful color. The pewter is ok but the red is much cuter. I have super high arches and these shoes feel amazing on. The toe box is a little on the wider side, which was great for me, but if you have very narrow feet they might be too wide for you.

These shoes are terrific! Straight out of the box they felt like a soft glove around my knarley feet. I've got 73 years using my feet: good arches, hammer toes, and toes pointing in every direction. It's hard to find shoes with a comfortable foot bed, support and style. This shoe has it all. Fussy feet will love them. And thank you Zappos's for great service.

This is a wonderful shoe! It is very comfortable, great arch support, and I could tell that the negative heel was encouraging me to have better posture from the moment I put them on. It is dressy enough to wear to work. The strap could be improved upon - it's not at all stretchy, and the velcro snags more delicate socks - but otherwise it's a perfect shoe and I would certainly recommend it.

I love this shoe. Wish Zappos would get more of the calf leather ones again. Wonderful shoe for bunions and stiff toes!!! Roomy toe box without looking bulky. Elegant looking shoe in the black.

I love love love these shoes!!! At first I ordered a 10, which is the size I wear for sneakers, and they were too big. So, I ordered the next size down offered by Zappos at that time, which was the size 9 --- which were too small!! If Zappos had offered the 9-1/2, I would have purchased them through these guys, because Zappos is a fabulous company. But they didn't carry them --- but Earth Shoes did! So I ordered my half size directly from the company and they fit like a dream. I love them. I love Zappos. And I love Earth Shoes. It looks like Zappos now offers the 9-1/2, which is awesome. Thank you, Zappos, for helping me find my perfect sized shoe!

This are wonderfully comfortable and look like normal Mary Janes. I have been wearing them to work, and my feet are happy!

I love this shoe! I was diagnosed with metatarsalgia and have been searching for the perfect shoe. Well, the perfect shoes doesn't exist but this one comes close! The arch support is incredible, the toe box is roomy enough without being too wide, the strap is in just the right place, and the heel is snug so my foot isn't sliding around the shoe. I tried this on a whim after purchasing several other quality brands on the advice of my podiatrist. Alegria and Naot are both good but not quite as comfortable as Earth even though they are all in the same price range. I am going to try to get this shoe in every color. This shoe fits true to size in every way.

I do not know why Earth does not make more styles in wide. This appears to be just about the only style in wide - the Solar Kalso, and it seems to be one of their biggest sellers. Earth people are you listening? Please make more styles in wide. I have three pairs of this style in wide. I stocked up because they always seem to be sold out in all colors in my size. I love these shoes! They are so comfortable. I have sciatica, and suffer back , leg and foot pain. I have trouble finding a shoe that feels good. My best shoe company now seems to be Cobb Hill and Birkenstocks. I would gladly buy more Earth shoes if they were made in wide , such as this Solar Kalso. They are cute shoes which feel as comfortable as walking on pillows. I have a shoe fetish and wish that I could buy more wide Earth shoes. My granddaughter also suffered from pain due to her flat feet. This style was recommended to her and she loved them. Her foot pain stopped. I love these little shoes. Besides my three black pairs, I would like to get a different color, but they are always all sold out. I would like to be able to wear other cute Earth styles, but they are never made in wide.

This is a great shoe - my second pair of Solars. It fits my foot perfectly (5.5, and a bit on the wide side). I've been trying to find something to help hallux rigidus, arthritis in the metatarsal, and general sesamoid bone problems with tight calves. This shoe has become my mainstay - since most other shoes cause pain in my damaged toe area, while it also stretches my calf out...which is a win/win. So glad I found these because I have bought a lot of pairs that just sit in my closet until I found these.

Comfortable, well made, everyday shoe. It adjusts itself to your footbed. looks excellent with pants or a dress. I have no regrets only praise for its maker

These are my "go to" shoes when my feet hurt! I'm on my second pair I love them that much. I have wide feet with bunions, a high arch and instep, and a heel spur so finding shoes that accommodate all these issues is tricky, but this shoe handles them all. The negative heel is so soothing after a day in heels or other non-supportive shoes. Try them, you'll like them!

These shoes are very comfortable and I always get compliments on the style. I hope Zappos carries these shoes forever!

This is the third time I have tried these shoes. I always sent them back because I thought they were not going to work for my bad feet. After trying dozens of shoes from Zappos, and altering straps and etc., to try and find the right shoe for my multiple foot problems, I always come back to these shoes. These shoes take care of most of my problems. A bit of stretching for bunions. I thought it needed more padding, but am doing quite well as is. The arch support is nice. Most of all this shoe keeps my toes from bending so much. Hallux ridgedis is one of my problems. The toe box is roomy. They look elegant in black suede which can be dressed up or down. I personally love the thin strap that is placed higher. These are feminine shoes that can be worn for just about any occasion. I am keeping these because I am suppose to have flat, stiff shoes. Your feet roll forward in this shoe when walking. The sole does not bend easily. At home my feet are wonderful in Birkenstocks. These shoes really are the next best thing.

I just had to write another reveiw on this shoe. I had sent it back because it did not have enough heel padding for me. I liked it so much, I ordered it again and placed a heel pad in each shoe. Wonderful!!! And, it does not have any negative effect on how the shoe works. This shoe really does need that extra bit more heel padding. Could use a tad more arch support, but it is pretty good the way it is. Oh, and I LOVE the narrow strap! So many don't, but it is soooo comfy and feminine with lots of toe room. Nice quality leather. Really very elegant. I'm getting more.

I have excruciating plantar fasciitis, as well as two surgically repaired broken ankles, and these are the only shoes I can wear (that are not athletic shoes) that do not give me pain. Even some athletic shoes give me pain. A podiatrist told me to select shoes that bend in the toe, but not in the sole. These are the sturdiest shoes that I have ever owned. When I am not exercising, I am wearing Earth brand shoes or sandals. The Solar is my go-to model, as I can wear them to work or out to run errands. They are expensive, but with daily use, they last 8-12 months. I have very flat feet, and I find the arch gives me support without being painful. The width does not seem to be uniform across the Solar styles and colors. In most shoes, I take a wide, but sometimes in the Solar, the wide is too big.

Just had to write another review about this shoe. Third pair coming. This shoe is working out well for my stiff unmoveable toes. I have always liked elegant-looking shoes that are feminine. It is almost impossible for me to find a shoe for my multiple foot problems that makes me feel feminine. This shoe is not bulky and is really quite feminine. The black suede is very elegant and goes with everything. Is true to my 8 1/2 rather wide foot. I ordered the regular width, and it fit almost perfect. The toe box is roomy with only a little break-in period over a bunion. Now, the end of the toe box rather curls up a tad, which did not please, but it does not take the elegance away from this shoe, and is only slight. (You have to be real, and accommodate the foot problems). Arch support could be a bit better for plantar faciitis, but I intend to slip an extra arch pad in, although the shoe arch is quite good. Practice walking at home first. It has a different feel, but you soon realize how much straighter your stance is. A little soreness in leg, hip area may occur, but if this shoe is right for you, that should leave. Zappos is so wonderful in letting you try as many shoes as it takes to get the right shoe and fit. Such a blessing.

Finally a shoe that fits! Very true to size. Bought several pairs of Arcopedicos thinking they were for me. Wrong! My doctor said no heel and a stiff sole. Earth Solar Kalso shoes work! Have to stretch a little for bunions, but these shoes are working for heel spurs, Plantar Faciitis, stiff unbendable toes, and malformed toe joints, and bunions. No shoe is perfect with this many problems, but this is pretty close. Has an unbendable stiff sole, roomy toe box, and are soft around the leather upper. They are not clunky at all. Quite feminine. The toe box points up a little more than I like, but, Hey! They work. I cannot thank Zappos enough for accepting so many changes. Truly a blessing to have such wonderful service.

I bought these shoes over a year ago for work because I'm work at the hospital 12 hour shifts and I need comfortable shoes. For years I have suffered with sciatica and as soon as I started wearing these shoes I no longer had the pain. I didn't buy them for that reason that was just an unexpected bonus.

I have small, wide feet and it is increasingly difficult to find shoes that fit. These were a find! My foot measures 5.5 and very wide - the 5 fit well.
