A Great Little Earth Shoe - I have ordered many pairs of shoes from Zappos, but this little red shoe is one of the best. It has an excellent "solar", high tech look, the leather is of the highest quality, and the comfort would be hard to beat. I have diabetes and am on my feet a great deal, working in an art gallery and traveling. Comfort and flexibility are very important and these shoes are working perfectly for me.

Got ta love these shoes. I got these shoes about a year ago to wear to work. I am a nurse and am on my feet all day/night long. After a period of adjustment to the shoes (follow Earth's recommendation that you begin by wearing them for brief periods, not 12 hours like I did), I found them to be my most favorite pair of shoes EVER. Not only do they look really really cool (I get compliments on them all the time), they are incredibly comfortable and keep my back in alignment. Now that I work in a medical ICU (I was on a psych unit before), I have one pair for work and one for outside work.

These look so much better than the Earth Shoes I remember. They're good with pants and some skirts. Remember to break them in - the lower heel will mess with your feet and legs at first, so ease into wearing them. I found the strap slightly too short and generally annoying. They're good shoes for standing (my back loves them), but my feet don't like walking very far in them - mainly because of the tightness and placement of the strap.

I ordered these shoes in black leather. I "broke" them in as they had mentioned. As a result I've notice (even though they are a 12 wide and fit me) I had bad blisters on both of my toes and sides of my feet and my arch on the bottom of both my feet were very painful and very sore and swollen. I've worn those (at different times) hose knee-highs and then plain socks. I broke them in for two weeks--painfully. I have a very low arch - not flat foot. These shoes are very expensive, but are nice leather, and look nice on and supposed to be good to wear with a bad back. So, I simply bought thin insoles and cut them out around the higher part of the arch of the inside of my shoes. It works out quite well and makes the inside of the shoe somewhat more flat for my foot. So, if you find that Earth shoes don't work for you because of what happened to me, it might work for you, too. Zappos.com is excellent - but sometimes is hard to find sizes, but the shipping is great, fast and reliable- when one can find the right shoe in stock.

Bought this shoe after having bunion surgery. Not a cute shoe (my husband calls these my "duck" shoes) but wonderfully comfortable. My surgeon said they were great. He said the toe is shaped the way the foot is and the sole is stiff enough to provide good support as well as to encourage the foot to roll forward as you walk. The only negative is that they run about a size large. I kept these because the ankle strap holds them on, but could (and probably should) have gone down one more size.

My Mom has these shoes, and they are very nice. Sadly, I would absolutely love to own these shoes as well. However, they are never shown as available in my shoe size nor color of 12W. I am told, if the black should ever become available, the sale price will not stay in effect, holding these shoes for me either. The mahogany color is also being discontinued in this style.

The negative heel took a while to get used to but once they broke in, they are very comfortable and kind of cute. They're great if you have wide feet like me.

These were the perfect shoes to wear while recovering for foot surgery. They are soft; wide and a good depth. Moreover, I will still be able to wear them after I fully recover.

Good walking shoe. From a style perspective, they strike me as a sleek version of a mary jane that Minnie Mouse wore, in other words a bit clunky yet attractive.

I ordered these based on a recommendation of someone who wore them in Italy. Since next summer I'm looking for a good walking shoe for Italy I decided to try them. I think they will be good, although at first seem "strange" with the lower heel. But the more I wear them, the more I think I like them. They are roomy in the toe which I love. The strap I think though might "bug" me...wish it were a bit wider but again I think I can get used to it.

A well made shoe: nice leather, a cute Mary Jane style that is great with pants. I have Morton's neuroma and this shoe keeps my foot in the best position with little weight on the nerve. I've worn the shoes all day, both walking and standing at work, without pain. Yippee! I love the shoe selection at Zappos and the great over night service.

These shoes are a gorgeous color. However, I have narrow heels, so even with the strap they are too roomy for comfortable walking.

I like this shoe; I wish more sizes were available. I ordered this size because no one carries (including Zappos) my size - a wide 10 or 10.5. Also I have a high arch so I need to stretch the front edge, but the leather is of a good quality so very quickly that is molded to my foot.

For me these are fantastic shoes for waitressing. I needed a shoe that took the weight off the ball of my left foot and indeed the negative heel works amazingly well. My feet felt the difference immediately. My only constructive criticism is that I wish that strap were thicker.

I wanted a flat shoe with a wide toe box, so this fit the bill. The surprise was that it was so attractive, given that it is basically a clunky shoe. The leather and color (a dark red-brown) are rich looking and the styling is simple but classy. On the comfort side, I would have liked a narrower heel, and the strap is narrow so that it cuts into my ankle if I don't adjust it properly. But I am very pleased, overall.

I am a nurse and work 12 hour shifts on my feet. I have bought these multiple times and find I do not end up with sore feet at the end of the day. It took me about two weeks to break them in and get used to the strap and footbed. Now I love them. My only complaint is that they do become scuffed with time. The shoe holds up well, but begins to look worn before I am ready to stop using them.

These shoes work great for me being on my feet all day on hard floors. I suffer from Morton\'s Neuroma and keeping the pressure off the ball of my foot has helped decrease the symptoms. I do not find Earth Shoes at all attractive, but the ability to walk and stand in comfort makes them really worthwhile.

The good news is that my feet stopped hurting once I began wearing earth shoes. The bad news is that the soles wear out after four to six months of regular use, and earth shoes customer service response was, sorry for the inconvenience. It seems like more than inconvenience to have expensive shoes that cannot be resoled and that wear out in a few months.

I will be using these shoes for Nursing School. I am so excited to have a pair of Earth Shoes for my profession! I started wearing them in the 70\'s--the original ones, and they cleared up a recurring problem for me. Since they\'ve been reintroduced, I have more than 10 pair for all sorts of occasions. From the moment I tried these new shoes on, they felt comfortable and gave me a workout just wearing them around the house! Coming off a Winter of rehab, they really help.

I basically like the Earth Solar. The negative heel was not hard to get used to. I originally ordered my normal size 10, but they were WAY too big and exchanged them for a size 9 and that worked. So consider ordering a full size smaller. The only thing that I don’t like about these is the velcro on the strap. The top part on one strap scratches the skin on the top of my foot, or snags the hem of some of my pants. Just on one shoe though, no matter how I adjust the strap. It’s not a deal breaker, but it is annoying at times, but a buckle would be hard to deal with since you must undo/redo the strap to get them on your foot – can’t just slide into them fastened since the strap rides very high on the foot (loses 1 star for this annoyance). Overall they are comfy, supportive, and don’t irritate the morton’s neuroma condition on both feet (have had surgery on both), which is the primary reason I ordered them. Not the cutest shoe, especially if you get them too big, they look like clown shoes. But with pants, they’re not so obvious. Wouldn’t wear these with a skirt though. Very good arch support and can see these shoes would be good for anyone with any foot problems or sensitivities. A bit pricey, but also a very well made shoe of quality materials. They’re kinda funky-cute with jeans. Overall, I’d recommend. I can feel the stretching for the calves as I walk which a very good thing, and has great metatarsal and arch support. Would purchase again, maybe in brown. Great Zappos service, as always!

This is my second pair of earth shoes. My previous pair, which I wore every day at work, lasted 3 years. This pair has taken a little bit of time to break in, but are getting comfortable now. The arch support is pretty high high for me so it’s taking while to mash it down to where it’s comfortable. Also, there’s a gap on the inside of the shoe between the arch and the side of the shoe which is a little irritating, but it’s worth it because it’s hard to find white shoes for nursing that aren’t sneakers or granny shoes. The style is perfect, professional yet stylish, and I love the negative heel and find it really comfortable to walk in. I’ve been getting lots of compliments on them.

These shoes live up to the reputation of other Earth Shoes I have known and loved. They are super comfortable for a smart casual dress shoe. Only one little glitch, one of the straps is longer than the other. It did not affect function though.

I felt comfortable ordering on line because of your return policy: it meant you were confident about the poduct\'s quality. I was not dissapointed-the earth shoes are very comfortable. I am on my feet all day at work and was intrigued by the concept of "burning more calories with every step" that the negative heel technology promises. I wore them to work with no problems, though I could tell I\'m using my leg muscles differently. I have a low back problem and I feel this shoe is definitely helping it!

These shoes are very comfortable. I work on my feet all day and they have seriously helped my legs not ache everyday after work. The strap did take about a week to get use to but now I don\'t even notice it.

I wore these shoes twice before the lining of the footbed started peeling away. Very strange. I love how these shoes look and they are pretty comfortable, but I have to put a little piece of moleskin near my arch on both sides because my flat feet rub where the sides and footbed meet. I have these in the brown and they do the same thing. I would still recommend these shoes even with the two problems. I have sciatica and painful feet and overall these shoes do help somewhat.
