Honestly, once you get past the kind of odd sensation of Earth shoes, you will love them. These are super comfortable and fairly cute, although to me they still look a little like orthotics.

I'm a pretty standard 8.5 and this shoe felt true to size. For a comfy shoe, it's pretty cute with a skirt. Plenty of room in the toe box. That said, I couldn't get used to the reverse heel of this brand, and I had to send it back.

Love the fit and feel of the negative heel as it keeps my pelvis and low back in a neutral position of comfort. The color on the vintage black does rub off easily making them look extremely distressed after the first wear.

I have never worn negative heel shoes before. These felt OK. I did not feel any magic with my posture because of the shoes, and in fact, threw out my back after wearing the shoes a week, but that is probably coincidence. Otherwise, they felt like quality comfort shoes. They are cute for clunky shoes, but still obviously clomper-like. My biggest issue is that the sole detached from one of the shoes a few days into wearing them! That is very repairable but makes the shoes feel less trustworthy to me now since I cannot walk when the soles flap around.

I love this brand & own a couple of different styles. I'm a middle aged woman looking for comfortable office work shoes. These were great short wear, all day it began rubbing my ankle bone I tried putting a insole but no.

I am a 12 medium and I bought these shoes because I broke the smallest toe on my right foot and need something flat and with a roomy toe box. These have been a life saver because the square toe box is super roomy without being too big, and the reverse heel takes all the pressure off the front of my foot. However, that said, I find that with lots of walking, the high back digs into the back of my ankle and causes pain. Also, there is not a lot of arch support. So, they are fine for casual, low-key walking at work, and perfect for my broken toe, but I do not think that they would hold up for all day walking about, at least for me. Oh, and some reviewers have remarked on the Velcro strap being a problem with stockings, but I have not experienced that. When I am fastening the strap I just run my thumb and forefinger along each side so the Velcro lines up neatly, and it does not snag at all during wear.

Was surprised to find them in suede leather as photo they looked shiny disappointed as was replacing my last pair and they were glossy black suede does not do well if winter slush gets on them Great to have a negative heel as it helps stretch the achilles tendon lightly and so very comfortable if you have a job where you are on your feet.

Seems to run on the small side. I usually wear a nine. However, I'm re-ordering a 9.5 due to my toes rubbing the end of the show. Toe box is roomy. I'm hoping they're as comfortable as Ive heard.

I love the shoes. The only problem that I have is when I wore the shoes without socks the insole came loose at the toes, but I love the shoes so much because of the way they feel on my feet, I will fix that problem myself. I would not send the shoes back because I just love them! I also love Zappos because of their return policy. I made the mistake of buying a pair of Earth shoes at a different vendor, and the shoes did not fit. It cost me 18 dollars to return the shoes and all I did was try the shoes on. Sad story, I liked the shoes, but you can't wear them if they do not fit.

These shoes were true to size and were comfortable. I have arthritis bunions, and am very limited in what I can wear. Only drawback, is standing straight, I felt like I was leaning backwards, and they looked like I was wearing shoes 3 size larger, so I sent them back.

I'm giving it 4 stars because I truthfully could not wear them very long in the house. The strap was cutting into the top of my foot :( I was really excited about trying the negative heal shoe! I have plantar Fascitis, need a new knee ,had bunion surgery gone bad all on my right leg/foot. Besides MS & Osteoarthritis in both hips. I am not yet 50...I need a shoe with a wide width because of bunions, this was the only one that came in wide. :( PLEASE Kalso, make another negative heel (cute) shoe in wide width, I'm begging you!

This is a very cute shoe...even cuter than the picture. I like that it covers the toes so if I don't have a fresh pedicure, I don't have to worry. They are easy to put on and go. The downside for me on with this shoe is that it rubs on the back of one of my ankles. It's uncomfortable but not enough to make the skin raw. I'd already worn them out and about before figuring that out, so it was a little too late to return them to Zappos. Overall, it's a decent shoe that is summer-time friendly and easy to throw on and go. The print is fun and goes with many different colors in my wardrobe. Give it a try!

I bought two kinds of shoes to try to help my heel pain: Alegria Belle and Kalso Earth Solar in wide. I have a wide foot at the toes, and the Belle in standard width felt wider, and better, than the Solar. The Belle fit like a glove. I think the Solar fit okay too, but they're less convincing. I tried to pick out the best size for me in both, and it was a bit of guess and gamble. I bought 9.5W in the Solar and 40 in the Belle. I think they both are the right size for me, but the Solar seem really long -- they look more than half an inch longer than the Belle. They're both kind of clunky-cute, quality looking shoes. I like the strap configuration a little better on the Belle. I'm keeping both of them because I'd like to see how they do after wearing them longer. The real test will be which one can make my heel pain feel better in the evenings. I haven't worn them enough to judge that yet. If I had to pick one of these at this point, I'd definitely go with the Belle, which are also significantly cheaper.

Super comfortable and not too shabby on the style front. They are very roomy in the toe box, which I believe is part of the Kalso model, but I feel like I probably could have worn a half-size smaller. My arches are really, really high, and most shoes with an arch support don't even hit it, so I can't comment on that, but overall my feet haven't been this happy in a pair of flats in a long time. If you try these, you might want to order your regular size and a size down for comparison.

Inside of shoes hard. Developed permanent callouses on left insole and right outer side insole. You must buy wide insoles. The velcro straps came off a left shoe and velcro was cheap. I am a profess. seamstress, so I know cheap when I see it. I work at a hospital on my feet 9 hours day. Threw shoes away. The quality is down. The neg. heel i like. Maybe I should have returned shoes.

Great shoes. Love the negative heel concept. I can wear them all day and still feel good in them by evening. Had them in a different color, so ordering the size was easy. Wish they made more Earth shoe styles.

Just got these in the mail. Super cute and shiny, the shoe itself is very comfortable, but the STRAP...EGADS! The velcro is placed incorrectly, if you don't want the velcro to show, you have to strangle your ankle, causing pain (and I have pretty darn skinny ankles). Trying to decide if I'll keep them or not...

Overall, I like these. Great for high arches. However, I ordered the wide, which are usually roomy enough for my wide feet, but these seem to run narrow in the forefoot. So if you have narrow heels and wide forefoot, these shoes do not work as well.

Great shoes! These shoes have been a great change from my usual (Dansko clogs) and I am enjoying the added workout that they offer. They have taken a while to break in, requiring numerous band-aids for the process. I would say that has been the only drawback about them.
I'd also recommend:

Ummm... After years of cute flats, my feet are starting to wear out and hurt if I walk more than a couple of miles. So I kind of gave in and tried these, after hearing good things from friends. I have to say, comfort-wise, they are lovely. Good arch support. Nice foot bed. But style-wise, they're a bit too granola-crunchy for me. I tried some other styles of Earth shoes that were cuter, but they didn't have the same amount of arch support. It’s a toss up. If you like this kind of style, then go for it. They are really comfy. I’ve spent some time traveling in them and it helped me walk day after day in the city with less foot pain.

Solar sweet - I was very pleased with the immediate feel of these shoes. I am wearing them as a nursing shoe and have a lot of difficulty finding anything really comfortable. The only problem for me is the deepness of the heel or the height of the back of the shoe. This has caused some rubbing on my heel causing redness. I am hoping this will soften in time.

Earth Solar - The service was great with Zappos! There is no other shoe that has the comfort of the Earth Spirit, although this shoe did feel larger than a size 5, I have others and they didn't have that feel. Thanks.

Different but I like it! Comfy right out of the box. I do experience the "knee lock" sensation after a few hours of standing so I don't wear these on my 12 hour days. This is a big negative. But the big positive is wonderful (!) arch support and lots of cushy padding. I have a slightly wide foot but the medium width fit just fine.

Larger and wider than expected - The shoes arrived in about 24 hours and were great quality. They were larger and wider than my regular shoes and I needed to return them. I found the edges also rubbed uncomfortably on the bottom of my ankle bone. I will definitely try another style and choose a smaller than normal style.
