My only complaint: The tongue rubs against the rest of the upper, leading to some squeaking noises. I think it's going away as I break them in. Other than that, great shoes.

Bought these for my 29 year old son. He has been wearing this shoe for about 8 years. He loves them - very comfortable and he likes the look.

Great shoes, very comfortable and nice looking. Con: it gets dirty from the front very fast, it's hard to clean.

This is my second pair of black Adidas Sambas. This is my first time replacing my sneakers with the same exact type. They fit well, they feel great - they're solid and sturdy in the way shoes are but comfortable and flexible like sneakers. And in my opinion they look really cool and match with everything. Also, this was my second time buying a pair of sneakers from Zappos and they didn't disappoint. They gave me a free expedited delivery so I got my sneakers the day after I ordered. Awesome.

The shoe overall is a great looking, comfortable shoe. This shoe has satisfied me in how great it looks. The only complaints I have are that the tongue and where your shoelaces go through rub together, creating a squeaking noise which goes away if you put some sort of shoe cleaner on it and rub off the "newness". The other complaint is that the the back of the shoe just kills my Achilles tendon, which I assume goes away after breaking it in. Overall: great shoe. Zappos of course deserves credit for A+ service and shipping.

The first thing I noticed with this shoe was that the top (where the shoe meets the ankle) is slightly higher than other shoes I've owned, making them uncomfortable for the first week or two. The heel sticks up higher than I expected as well. However, after a few weeks of wear, they're much more comfortable.

These are awesome classic styled sneakers. This is my second pair and I love riding my bike with them. I bought them cause I can easily slide in and out of PowerGrips on my pedals.

These shoes are comfortable and stylish, so I'm a fan!

I had to reorder a different size for this shoe; it runs much larger than most other shoes I've ever gotten before. Once I had a pair that fit, it took a few weeks of heavy use to get them worn in. Other than that, these are good shoes, just a little troublesome.

My 10-year-old son loves these shoes! He has worn them every day for a month and they still look brand new. He wears an 8 in running shoes, but an 8 1/2 in Samba's. He says they're very comfortable and he loves the look, but the laces tend to come untied a lot. I would highly recommend Samba's, and especially this black and cobalt combo for the winter.

A great looking classic, looks great with jeans. Just be aware that like most of the Adidas Originals, there is little to no arch support, so you might want to buy some insert cushioning as well.

I returned these shoes. They looked good, but I was used to the material quality of the Samba K, so these less expensive fashion models didn't quite satisfy.

Do not buy this shoe. The sole is cheap rubber, with fake molded stitching, and the upper is imitation pleather. The whole shoe squeaks so badly when I walk that I had to take them off and go buy new shoes at lunchtime.

Very comfortable shoes. Wore them for indoor soccer practice the day after I got them. Didn't even need to break them in, they were great from the start.

As a Zappos fan but not customer of the last few years I was not worried at all that I would get what I was hoping for here. Great shoe, a little darker than shows in the images but exactly what I was looking for.

Currently I\'m on my second pair. These couldn\'t be more comfortable, and should be a staple in anyone\'s closet. I will always have a pair.

As always, Zappos provides wonderfully accurate photos. The shoe looks small, and I dreaded trying it on but looks were deceiving and they fit very well.

These squeak like the other reviews mentioned but it's not bad and hopefully will go away with wear. They do, however, run a full size smaller than other shoes I've bought. I'm normally a size US 12 but I had to get the 13s.

I had a pair of these for 5 years that I wore until they started to fall apart. In fact, they could have gone on longer but I wanted a new pair so I got rid of the old ones and bought a new pair. I don't know what happened. Adidas apparently restyled this shoe, shortening the tongue, increasing the height of the back of the shoe, and changing the material of the inner lining of the shoe. I cannot stand the short tongue on these new sneakers. It is completely pointless, and causes more trouble than good. I have owned this pair for a year now, and without fail, every time I slide the shoes on, the tongue slides down with my foot and I have to dig around with my fingers to try to extract it before I can walk comfortably. Incredibly annoying. The higher back of the shoe rubs against the back of my ankles when I wear ankle socks -- something my old pair never used to do. The inner lining material of my old shoes was made of a flexible cloth, but these shoes were lined in some kind of stiff, synthetic fake leather material that I couldn't break in for a long time. Don't get me wrong, I still love love love these sneakers and would buy them again. Now that it's been a year, they have gotten a lot more comfortable and I wear them all the time. I really miss the old version of these shoes though.

These shoes are great! When I first got them they did squeak a little as I was walking. The tongue rubs against the sides of the shoe and creates a squeaking noise. I just ignored it and as I wore them, the squeak started to go away. I put my own insoles inside them because I stand on my feet most of the day at work. When I first put them on it seemed like they fit like a glove and were already molded to the shape of my feet. I love them!

I had a pair of Sambas about 10 years ago and remember them being one of the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned. I now have a job that requires me to walk/stand for 6-9+ hours a day so I decided to go back to what I thought would be a reliably comfortable shoe. Wow, have things changed at Adidas for the worse. The shoe felt too small in every dimension (especially width), and had none of the arch support that my old Sambas had. This experience is consistent with another pair of Adidas (Superstar 2) I tried within the last year that were absolutely horrendous. I don't think Adidas makes the quality of shoe they used to and will avoid them in the future.

I first bought this sneaker three years ago and haven't worn any other kind. They're incredibly comfortable and not too expensive. I see some people are complaining about squeaking, but I have never had any problem with the few pair I've owned. These are the best, most comfortable shoes I've ever owned!

I read all of the below reviews saying they squeak; this is totally true, however if you buy some saddle soap and put it between the tongue and the upper part where the laces go through you will be rewarded with a non-squeaking, awesome shoe. Comfortable, stylish and you can kick a ball like Wayne Rooney in them
