My favorite sneakers! I love, love, love my Sambas. They are a little stiff at first but break in quickly and mold to your foot. This style doesn't have the long tongue that the Samba Classic has. Perfect for POSE running, and much more reasonably priced than the expensive minimalist running shoes. They do not have a lot of padding or support, which is why I like them (most athletic shoes feel too stiff, clunky and overbuilt for me). I wear these for trail running, weight training and also for casual wear. I'm a woman's size 7.5 usually, but I always wear an 8 in Adidas. I found the kids' size 6 fit me best (the mans' size 6 had the arch in a weird spot for me). I wish they made a mesh version of these for the summer.

I'll start by saying that I love these shoes! Great fit and awesome old skool style! The reverse of the original Samba (white shoe with black stripes) looks fantastic. The shorter tongue on this model makes 'em great for street wear. One thing to keep in mind: these shoes take a few days to break in. They're quite stiff at first, but they break in very nicely. Four stars for comfort only because they're warmer than running shoes, so my feet a very slightly sweaty after wearing them for a full day.

I have never written a review before...only for you Zappos because you guys are great! Love my Sambas, haven't worn them in past the squeaking yet, but love them anyway.

Great shoes. I love them! The heel liner is leathery stuff, not fuzzy cloth, which I was looking for. They squeak a lot when I first got them. As I tightened the laces toward the toe, the squeaking has gone away.

These shoes were amazing. I have always loved the way Sambas feel and now you can be stylish with these Sambas.

They took a little bit of time to break in, in terms of rubbing against my ankle, and in terms of squeakiness, but once they did, they're pretty nice.

Good looking, very little arch support. I wouldn't recommend these shoes to anyone that requires or prefers good arch support.

Fantastic shoe. I've traditionally only rocked Campus IIs or STs, but I've always wanted a pair of Sambas. I like the classics better because of the lower tongue as well.

Absolutely fantastic. Solid basic casual sneaker for men. Comfortable and looks great. Only 2 issues: the laces always seem to come undone - make sure you double-tie. They can also be very squeaky - I've been applying Vaseline to the tongue to stop that.

Really awesome shoe. Had it for three months now, and it's perfectly broken in. Not showing scuffs, which is huge because I go through shoes really fast (4-6 months). Tough, comfy, good looking. What more do you need?

I bought these shoes for my son and he has thoroughly enjoyed wearing them! He is a longboarder (not my favorite activity) and the shoes have held up well with the extra friction this sport experiences.

These shoes are a little narrow which fits me perfectly. They are very comfortable.

The description of "Original" is so appropriate to those of us that have long memories and when I put these classics on my feet, inevitably I forget I have them on because it raises a vision in my mind's eye of when I wore these guys "in the day". So these are more than "just shoes"; they're terrific memories that also fit and look terrific.

Adidas Sambas are cool but Zappos rocks! You guys are the greatest, seriously Zappos for life! Amazing customer service, I will never buy shoes from another retailer.

Sambas have always had that classic Adidas styling much like that of the Superstar 2 (another favorite of mine). They are synonymous symbol of the three stripe brand. Sadly, you will be sacrificing your comfort for this style. I have always heard from everyone that they are not the greatest in terms of support, and I finally got to experience it. Much like a couple pairs of shoes I currently own...they will only be used for short outings, and never anything involving rigorous foot work.

I was looking for a simple sneaker in black to wear to the gym. I'm recovering from surgery and am looking to build strength. I would never even run on a treadmill. I wanted them for basic gym comfort and they couldn't offer that. They were so much cheaper than I had anticipated. Yuck!

They go with pretty much everything! My first pair of Adidas and I'm very pleased with them. The heel rubbed a bit the first day, but they are perfect now & it's hard to resist wearing them every day!

I ordered these shoes as a Christmas gift the week before Christmas and they arrived the next business day, you can't get any better than that!

Got them for my daughter. She loves them, comfortable, stylish, and gets the job done. Good grip sole, perfect for indoor soccer and rough and tumble activities. Look great for school and any casual outing!

Impossible to get my teenage son to go try on shoes, so thought I'd give Zappos a shot. These fit perfectly and he's enjoying them. Perfect for everyday casual.

This Samba is great but does require some break in time. Due to the squeaky leather tongue area and tongue is shorter than the true original. Very nice overall.

Classic style with a modern update. A great replacement for my last pair of classics.

I bought these for my husband for Christmas. He loves them. They're cool and comfortable.

I wrote a review previously about these. I said that the squeak could be fixed with saddle soap. This is true, but it requires that one do this every other week to prevent squeak. The shoe looks good but i would not buy these as the squeaked is a real problem. Shame on you Adidas for putting this on the market without looking at the material closer.
