The quality and construction seem good. My husband used to play soccer and has been a fan of this leather model for years. He has an extra-wide foot, which these seem to accommodate. He prefers this all black model and used to apply permanent magic marker over the white stripes when that model was all he could find! Thank you, Zappos, for carrying this black Originals Samba and having it available in his size (7.5). Can't speak to wear yet because he's only had them a few months.

Great shoe! it's very comfortable and it fits perfectly. It's a bit flat and low ground to what I'm used to but these are my daily shoes and no so much working out shoes.

This is my second pair of these shoes. Still love them. And I love Zappos. And Zappos loves me.

This is my 3rd pair of Sambas, and the quality of these shoes is always great. Very comfortable, and I have wider feet. One issue, if you are a ninja avoid these shoes! They squeak when breaking them in. Just pick yourself up some saddle soap for the tongue. Overall great shoe, goes with everything and they last typically 3+ years of daily use until they really should be replaced. Will buy again and again until I'm dead. Also, these are the first shoes I picked up from Zappos and the experience was a good one. Will buy from them again!

Great shoes, very comfortable although not the greatest shoe for someone like me that has flat feet.

Owned a pair of Sambas for the last 10 years. This pair, however, is different than the other ones. For some reason they decided to put the leather on the inside of where the lace holes are. This causes massive amounts of squeaking because it rubs against the tongue and is rather annoying. Adidas needs to redesign this shoe again because two months of owning this shoe the squeaking hasn't gone away. If you want loud shoes, these are for you.

Love these shoes. Over the last 5 years, I've bought 8 pairs. Very comfortable. And perfect for most occasions.

I ignored the reviews that these shoes were squeaky and I regret it. They are the loudest shoes I have ever heard. I have given them a chance to break in and they are still annoyingly loud. On top of that, they are pretty uncomfortable. They sure look good, though.

Winter is dreary in New England, so these shoes brought a little spring time cheer. Like all sambas these take a day or two to break-in. They're stiff at first, but they soften up after a few days of walking. They're also super bright at first, so they stand out. Eventually, the brightness fades (which for me is a good thing). If you want them to stay bright, be careful, they get dirty easily.

Gotta say that I expected a better shoe from Adidas. Cheap feeling and the trim is all synthetic.

I have received tons of compliments on these Sambas in all white. They look absolutely fantastic. Beware of the annoying squeak when walking if you have the tongue positioned a certain way. The squeak can be remedied by shifting the tongue more towards the outside of the shoe, but if the tongue is centered it will squeak a lot. Other than the squeaky tongue, I can't wear these shoes enough. They're gorgeous and very comfortable.

I love these shoes. They are comfortable and do not squeak for me. I tie the laces behind the tongue to give it that little kick. Maybe that helps because it raises the tongue up and doesn't rub against the sides. I also put insoles in sometimes.

I am from Europe so ordered size was 42/43 (per conversion chart that is 9.5). Received size is 9.5 but 43 1/3 (too big). Per my shipping restrictions I can't send it back. Useless shopping.

The product description says upper is real leather but when I got the sneakers, it turned out to be synthetic leather. The style is cool, though it is not good for workout. In general, as the shoe is not leather it will take time to break in.

I ordered the 4 1/2 (a half size smaller than the size chart says I should wear). For reference, this is a half size smaller than what I wear in Nike's (6 1/2 women's). I bought the White/Navy and the Navy is really dark, almost black. There is some squeaking as others have mentioned; however, it's nothing obnoxious nor unusual for leather shoes. I find them very comfortable. But I do have low arches (dancer) so I'm not sure how they would be for someone with higher arches. If you're into the retro/classic look or low-profile trainers these are the pair for you. If you're looking for supportive running shoes, you should probably look elsewhere. Zappos has excellent customer service! Hands down the best online shopping experience I've ever had!

Great, reliable shoe. We keep buying them as soon as the old pair wears out. We will only buy from Zappos because of how easy they make it and the shipping is so fast.

These shoes are all show, no go. First of all, don't believe those who say they don't squeak. They squeak for months before finally being broken in enough to stop. Second, they are super fragile. Mine got a small tear in the suede part after only a few months of wear. Third, they are super uncomfortable if you are going to be on your feet for extended periods of time. At least they look cool though, right!

They look nice, and they're comfortable, but they squeak when I walk. I'm a student worker at my campus library, so every time I walk I have to somehow rig my shoes to keep them quiet. The problem is the tongue rubs against the sides, and, since it's leather-on-leather action, squeaking ensues. I hate it, but other than that I like the shoes.

I have a pair of original Samba's (black w/ white stripes, tan sole)and I love them. They are very comfortable. I was expecting the same with these new Samba's, but I am quite disappointed. They do not have the soccer flap tongue like the originals and the inside is not padded around the ankle area like the originals. They are feel very stiff and a little squeaky where the new style tongue rubs the shoe. I bought these all black ones for work hoping for the same comfort that I was used to. I think Adidas has gone cheap on these new shoes. That's really too bad.

This is the most comfortable pair of shoes I now own. They fit well, size properly, and look good. Also, very reasonably priced.

These shoes are the classic essential to any wardrobe. I love them because you can dress them up with jeans or wear them with sweats. The only thing that someone could think about complaining about is that since the leather is new and the shoes are not broken in, the shoes squeak like crazy. Overall these shoes rock, and I am thinking about getting a few more pairs in different colors. They are so classic.

This was a great purchase, I usually don't buy shoes online. But finding shoes that I like in size 13 is difficult sometimes so now I will be doing all of my shoe shopping on Zappos. The shipment was super fast and easy. Everything about it worked out great.

These shoes are comfortable,durable and have a classic style that stands the test of time. It rains a lot where I live, and my Sambas have great traction on the wet sidewalks. And the fact that they are all leather, also makes these shoes great if you ride a scooter or a bicycle. If this are your first pair, it will not be your last.

This is what I wanted: fly old-school stomps in a unisex size (for my wide forefoot). Almost got it; the heel was too wide and deep for my heel (narrow). Also, not as comfy as my retro Nike running shoes.

More comfortable than my Cons, great price and they look good with everything. Even when I wear my duster!
