Sleek and stylish

Classic and stylish, light on feet, easy to move around in

Very comfortable with a bit of breaking in.

These are THE classic Sambas of my youth!! Glad to find them with the regular tongue. As some have stated, the squeak a bit when laced up but I used some leather conditioner on the tongue and they are in stealth mode. My "go to" shoes!!

A great basic sneakers for some of your gym needs. Got the job done; and a good value. Not sure why but for me, when it comes to sneakers I can take one size larger than normal (usual shoe size is 7; but with sneakers I can go with size 8). And it doesn't matter which brand I choose.

They squeak! Great shoe. Comfortable and easy to wear. But the squeaky tongue might make you crazy.

Ordered a half size up from dress shoes and they fit perfectly. No squeaks from what I can tell.

Comfy and stylish.

These shoes were made for me. I have narrow feet and most shoes these days tend to swim on me. These were perfect. The 8-1/2s (men's 7-1/2) ran true to size, and they are incredibly stylish too. They do have a very firm, solid sole, I.e., not very flexible. For me this is great, as my feet start to ache in shoes that have too much flexibility (like Skechers). These have worked out perfectly, and I wear them several times a week. Love!

Love this product! Bought for my husband as he's a huge Samba fan and it matched our toddlers perfect. Breaks in easily and has good fit not too wide.

Such a classic shoe that goes with just about anything. I wear them whenever I know I'm going to be out somewhere and doing a lot of walking and I know I want to be comfortable. There's a reason why these shoes are as popular as they are, they're cool, comfy, and reliable. Great for the "athleisure" look.

Always a little tight and squeaky fresh out of the box, takes about a week of wearing to break them in. After that break in they're great and last forever.

So retro! I love my Sambas. Classic shoe for everyday casual wear. The black with three stripes look great and crisp with leggings, jeans and even long knit skirts. I get lots of second looks..."Yes, these are Adidas!" and compliments galore. Trendy and comfortable. If you're hesitating buying these, don't hesitate any longer! Zappos delivers to your door in just a day or two.

I'm a woman who usually wears a size 9 in a sneaker. I took the advice of others and ordered the men's equivalent of a 8.5 women's (which is 7.5 men's) and the fit is good. There is more room in the toe box than usually but that is not necessarily a bad thing. I did not notice any squeaking at all whatsoever. Overall good shoe!

Awesome sneakers, you can't go wring with this classics.

What more can be said about the Sambas that has not already been said? They’re a classic – perhaps even THE classic – in casual sneakers. Much in the vein of Converse Chuck Taylors or Van’s Off the Walls, these are the sneakers you can live your daily life in. Depending on how hip your office environment is, you may even get away with them there. With all that said I never actually owned a pair of these until recently. I don’t know what took me so long! I’ve had the above mentioned sneakers as well as Puma Suedes, Nike Cortex, and even Adidas Superstars, but never the Sambas. I truly think I’ve found the last sneaker I’ll need (style anyway). They’re a flat shoe, so they’re feel, well…flat. That’s not a terribly bad thing, but it should be noted if you’re looking for a sneaker with a lot of bouncy and cushiony sole. These aren’t that. They are a solid long-lasting and hard wearing sneaker though – and at a solid price. One thing I discovered in my seeking of these is that not all Sambas are the same. These are the Samba Leather Originals. There is a very similar pair, with a deceptively similar name, called the “Samba Classics”. The only difference I find is the latter have the long tongue designed for the indoor soccer player. I actually purchased that pair first and just couldn’t get over the long tongue. I knew I had seen Sambas with a “normal” tongue before and after some digging realized it was this pair. A quick, as of the time of this review, pointer: Red logo = long tongue; Blue logo = normal/shorter tongue. Overall: Five stars!

Great quality. I have been using them for over a year, and no clear sign of wear. Not the most comfortable shoe, but it does just fine.

These shoes fit me like a glove. My foot size is between 10 and 10.5 and the 10.5's fit perfect. Its hard to find shoes that fit this well. My only gripe is the squeaking. You sound like spongebob when you walk down the street. I still havent found a way to completely elimiate the squeaking. I put a little saddle soap on the tounge but it wears off eventually and the squeaking starts again.

Just what I wanted for working out. Size was spot on. Could use more arch support, but not to awful.

Wore Sambas for years, then switched to the Millenniums for 4 years or so, then tried switching back to regular Sambas again. Disappointing. Not sure if the leather is a lower quality, but I've had them for 4 or 5 months ad they are not breaking in very well. I would suggest either the Millenniums or if the tongue doesn't bother you the Mundial Goal (those shoes are amazing).

LOVE THESE SHOES. I am a size 8 so I went with the "Mens 7 Womens 8" size and they fit perfect! Yes, they squeak where the tongue is but putting the lotion on it worked!
