Love my white Originals Sambas. Timelessly stylish, comfortable in a spartan sort of way, and affordable. Back to comfort, I find that they provide an adequate arch, run a bit narrow (which feels sleek and bespoke) and offer minimal, but adequate cushioning. The minimal cushioning and lack of a built up heel actually force me to walk the way nature intended and not pound my heels into the pavement. Yes they squeak, but it goes away. Thanks to Zappos liberal return policy, I was able to order/return the 10.5/11 in the Classic and the 10.5 in the Originals before settling nicely into the 11 Originals.

I like them most for the way they look. The first pair I tried turned out to be too tight, and even the larger pair that fits better still squeaks when I walk. I think it's the tongue rubbing up near where it exits the laced portion. So long as that dissipates soon enough, I'll be satisfied with them.

Great looking shoe. It's a little narrow feeling but I also have slightly wider than normal feet. Still, I can wear the shoe all day comfortably because it's loosened up.

I should have ordered at least a half size smaller than normal. I didn't, because I thought that there was a pattern where it was mostly women stating that the shoes were bigger than marked. I'm a man, and the're definitely too big.

I love Sambas, like almost all the "indoor soccer sneakers" they look great with jeans. The only thing I've ever noticed with this style (Samba) is they seem to run slightly smaller than normal. Since my normal shoe size is a 12 I obviously got a size 12 but they feel more like an 11.5. I guess if you like to wear big fluffy socks or your size isn't available, I suggest getting a 1/2 size larger than normal. Whatever you do don't try to drop down a size, they won't fit. Also, if you need sneakers that are on the wider side I probably wouldn't recommend these. Although it's not an issue I have they are somewhat narrow.

Look, these shoes are low and tight; they have a binding effect on your toes. People love them for indoor soccer, but for casual wear you I'd go with something else. Also, they're slim and pointy and made from a shiny black leather that makes them feel almost like a sneaker imitating a dress shoe. They don't look great with jeans that aren't black, and they look worse with khakis, shorts, etc. I got roped into a step dancing lesson (!) and found them pretty good for that, but unless you're in Riverdance or an indoor soccer league I'd choose a different shoe.

To make a long story short, I ordered all three versions of the Samba's: Classic, Millennium and Originals. Big Kid size in the Classics ended up being huge on me. Plus, the proportions of the shoe looked ironically short and stumpy but long and bulky at the same time. For reference I am a solid 6 in women's across most shoe brands. Moved on to a 5½W 4½M in the Millenniums. Still too big by half a size. These were essentially a facelifted version of the Originals. More rounded looking too. Had to send those back. And finally the wonderful folks at Zappos sent me an exchange but this time a size 5W 4M of the Originals. Fit perfectly. These have a flatter sole and a timeless design. Originals are the way to go. In the end, Adidas sizing is way off. I should have known to go with the size 4 men's because in most brands my size 6 would equate a men's 4. So that is that. My story was not short after all.

They are great, but they seriously run small. I wear 10½ to 11 in most shoes, usually a 10½, and after two exchanges (yay for Zappos' customer service!) I ended up with 11½, which finally fit well. Take it seriously and save yourself time and order them at least a half size bigger, or probably a full size.

These sneakers are stylish and comfortable. The color is neutral and goes with everything. Depending on what you wear, these sneakers can style up a simple outfit or make a more formal outfit look laid back yet fashionable. I love these, my fave pair of sneaks.

Nice looking, classic shoes you can wear with jeans or shorts. I have wider feet, and they take a couple of wears to break in (were a little tight), but now they feel very comfortable. The soles are very solid and provide moderate arch support, and the shoes feel very light.

I have bought a pair of Sambas once a year for the last ten years. Though there have been minute changes in the design, it still feels great putting these on. These are my favorite shoes and will be for a long time.

These are really comfortable shoes, but after about 4 months they had a tear in the fabric on the inside edge of the right foot. I've had other Adidas in the past and they were quite sturdy, so I was disappointed that these did not have the same durability.

Much wider that I anticipated, especially around the toe area, and definitely squeaky. I've been wearing them 3 days, & they still make noise...I hope it stops! They claim to be leather, but they don't appear to be real leather - looks more like plastic to me - I haven't been able to figure it out yet. If I had seen & tried them on in a store, I probably wouldn't have bought them.

I love these shoes. They go with everything and they are very comfortable. I haven't had issues with the squeaking. I love to wear these when I take my kids to the park, but I wear them all the time.

So...five stars for style and I took one off for comfort. The leather is extremely hard and difficult to break in. I first ordered these in a 7 men / 8 women (I usually wear an 8 in women's Adidas) and they felt a whole size too big, so I went down to the 6 men / 7 women...I probably should have gone with the half size, but I figured the leather would stretch a bit. Not so much.

I'M NOT CERTAIN IF THE MALE SIZES ARE TRULY ACCURATE TO THE WOMEN SIZES ON THIS WEBSITE, AS I WEAR A 7.5 IN MOST SNEAKERS AND THE 6 AND 6.5 IN MEN'S WERE ONE AND ONE AND A HALF SIZE TOO LARGE FOR ME. THEY ARE CUTE SHOES BUT THEY SEEM A BIT STIFF AND WILL REQUIRE BREAKING IN.

What happened? I have been wearing sambas since I was a kid, and for years have ordered many pairs from zappos as an adult and been happy. HOWEVER, there have been some changes to the shoe. They have changed the material/quality. the leather feels very thin and cheap now, making the uppers feel very unsubstantial (ironically, the price has gone up). Im a little heart-broken; these are not the shoes they used to be and that I have loved for so many years. Maybe it was a bad batch? Buyer beware.

Just received these for my 12 year old to use as school shoes. We have had leather Sambas in the past and they last longer than running shoes and canvas fashion shoes (especially when worn daily for school). They run about 1/2 size larger than Nike indoor shoes. He says that the shoes feel "heavy" which might be a consideration if using these for indoor soccer.

Dead-on fit - extremely accurate sizing. (I'm an 11.5 - but sometimes I have to order larger or smaller depending on who makes the shoes. But these are very true to size.) These feel great and and I really like the look. Also - I'm not sure what others are referring to when they talk about some sort of squeaking. I've not experienced any squeaking or unwelcome sounds with these.

These are NOT leather. They are definitely made of plastic. I am returning mine. Sad, because they look amazing but they feel like they're made of Saran Wrap.

Amazing, really comfortable and they don't squeak. I wore these running around the city all day and my feet didn't hurt a bit!

Got these shoes about a month ago. I had wanted a pair for years and years. The first couple times I wore them, they were very uncomfortable and rubbed against certain bones near/around my ankle area. I got a painful blister or two. So I was sad because I love the way they look SO much! Also, I am a very tiny person, with very narrow feet, so it surprised me that the shoes felt so tight. But anyway, I stretched the shoes out with my hands occasionally, and now they fit great! Another thing that helped at first was putting Vaseline all on the places on the shoe where it was rubbing against my foot, and even put Vaseline on my socks a couple times. The other issue I had was the squeaking sound that the tongue made. I just took water on a paper towel and scrubbed it, then a little more of that good ol' Vaseline, and that fixed the issue, no more squeak! I love wearing them, they look stylish for a tennis shoe. And the shoes arrived in just a little over a day after ordering them!! That was awesome. Very very happy overall.

These are great and stylish. Mine do not seem to squeak much like some other reports. Also, I went down half a size than my Stan Smiths and that was the right choice.

I have a wide foot and found this shoe to fit better than other standard width shoes. You have to be OK with little arch support. But for hanging out, this is just fine. There's a reason it's a classic.
