Wow, these shoes squeak. They are so loud I am embarrassed to wear them to work because it wakes everyone up. Seriously, they fit okay, are really stiff, and are super loud because the tongue is made of some material that squeaks with every movement. I've had them for several months now to try and break them in, but sound hasn't diminished at all. Pretty awful.

These are the only style Samba I've ever owned so I cannot compare it to the others but these are very flat. I love the look and style but I only wear them when I know it's going to be a short period of time. There is zero arch support and zero ankle support. I haven't experienced the squeaking that so many other reviewers have; however, I'm quite sure that this was probably the one in a hundred that doesn't squeak; after reading all of these other reviews. These are the kind of shoe that you see someone wearing and you want to know where they got it. I get compliments every time I wear them. I'm a female size 8.5 (man's 7.5) and I have regular width feet. These do run just a smidgen large so next time I would probably go with a half size smaller, but it wouldn't be a deal breaker if I had to stick with the current size. Overall, they're excellent trendy statements and very comfortable if you're not walking a lot. But don't plan on walking the Vegas strip or strolling through Disneyland, you're feet will be begging you to stop

Excellent shoes! Here's a hint for the squeak (hand lotion): if squeak comes back, add more - it will just soften leather!

I wanted to write this review mainly to say that I never noticed any squeaking that others have mentioned. So if you are worried about that, I would say that it's fine and to enjoy.

The leather squeaking noise isn't really an issue and a lot of it goes away when you wear the shoe for sometime. Overall I think this is the most comfortable pair i've worn. Very light and soft

I have always liked the look of this shoe for many, many years, and finally I got a pair. Growing more comfortable each day as I wear it though it takes time to wear in.

Classic look! But you cannot sneak up on anyone because these shoes are very squeaky!

I bought these shoes about a month, almost 2 months ago, and they are very comfortable. I've been wearing them to walk to school and they are very comfy. They keep my feet dry as well because it's been raining a lot lately. They do squeak but not that bad. It eventually goes away when you wear them continuously. They are true to size. I love these shoes and whenever they get worn out I'll be getting some more.

These shoes are not quite as comfortable as the black Sambas, possibly due to the fact that they have got leather heels instead of cloth heels. They also squeak when I walk, as the tongue rubs against the outer shoe leather. Overall they are decent and they look great.

Just received my first pair of Sambas, and they look great and feel great. I read about the squeak and it's true. I will try the remedies and hope they work. I like them a lot, going to order another pair in a different color. Always a fair price and fast shipping at Zappos.

Nice shoe for casual wear or hard surface/turf fields. Typical Samba, except tongue is different. Not as long (which I like) but squeaks. I'm hoping the squeak goes away with more wear.

Always wanted a pair of Samba's, but never jumped on them till Zappos. First couple of weeks were a bit uncomfortable and sqeaky(have yet to try squeak remedies). Now they are starting to break in and feel good. They still squeak, but they look cool so who cares. Zappos was Wicked fast as always!

I love these shoes! The fit and style are fantastic. They do run a tad narrower than most, but I knew they would and that's one reason I ordered them. The only thing better than the shoes was the usual tremendous service that Zappos provides. I ordered the wrong size and had to replace them. I've never had a better "no hassle" experience.

Look great, lots of compliments. Squeaky leather until they are broken in.

These are perfect for casual wear and parties and very comfortable. I have gotten many complements with these.

I wear size 14s so I often have to shop online for shoes. After going through literally about 4 or 5 different pairs of shoes a year, I finally found these. My first purchase of these were in August of 2009 and I just finally bought another pair only because I was having an extremely hard time trying to keep the shoes looking clean. Not the problem of Adidas shoe manufacturing but due to my over use. I've worn them for at least 75% of the days I've owned them. As well as including my many trips to Vegas and Manhattan (filthy sidewalks). I plan on purchasing more of these when the time comes. I wish Zappos had all the different colors though.

I was disappointed to see the Adidas stopped making the kangaroo leather version of these shoes. Nonetheless these are still a worthwhile replacement to my old pair. The "squeak" is present but does subside after a while. I love the flat sole for weightlifting and they also look great with almost any clothes. Very little arch support but I like it that way, strengthens the feet.

I purchased these shoes for both my husband and myself. We both love them. The one drawback is that they are a squeaky till you break them in! Also I ordered a woman's 7/ man's 6, if I were to buy them again I would buy a smaller size. The man's and woman's sizes aren't a perfect match.

Comfortable light-weight shoe; would have preferred a bit more arch support. I like the sporty look, as well.

The comfort and style are both excellent! The squeaking is real but can be fixed. You should not have to fix it but here is what you need to do. The tongue rubbing on the area near the laces makes an incessant squeaking. Not a little bit but a ton. Put a little athletic tape on the tongue and it goes away. You should not have to do this but it works. I prefer the look of the Sama Millenium but they are narrow and less comfortable than these.

Excellent shoe. This is the kind of shoe you would actually see pro soccer players wear! Not like all the competitor stores. Laces are a tad long. Love the Blue Label on the tongue. They fit like a glove!

These shoes look great, and are true to size, but they definitely run narrow. There is little to no cushioning in the soles, and even after wearing them for a few weeks, they squeak terribly. If all you are going to do is wear them a short time with little walking, they are decent. Do not buy them as everyday shoes, or ones you will spend a lot of time on your feet with.

These were really cute. They are the first pair of shoes we have bought in the men's section. My son that usually wears a size 4 kids, wore a 4 in men.

There's no leather on this shoe. The white /red stripes is completely synthetic. It's very plastic-y. The tongue squeaks with every step. They run a hair long.
