This is now my 2nd pair of Adidas Samba's. My first pair were the newer style. This is my 1st pair of the old school style. I love both styles and feel that they are a comfortable sneaker to wear all day. I would not recommend them for running or any serious athletic function. I feel that they are more of a casual, comfortable sneaker to wear anywhere.

It's comfortable and fits really well. I like the green pattern. It feels a bit too warm for this weather, but I wear it whenever it gets cooler.

After a year and a half+ wearing canvas shoes only (Converse and then Keds) I was looking forward to getting back into the more traditional padded leather shoe. These shoes are stylish and reasonably comfortable for a good price. However, they're so very, very squeaky, to the point that I'm embarrassed to walk around my office with them on. I'm probably going to buy another pair of canvas shoes to wear around the office, and these will be my outdoors/weekend shoes.

The shoes were narrow in the heel, but very wide in the "toe box". I should have paid more attention to the comments about the squeaking. I expected they would squeak on a tile or wood floor. They even squeak very loudly when walking on carpet. I sent them back.

Loved these shoes. Bought them, wore them once, and then walked for 10 days in Italy. Very comfortable and held up well.

Bought these trainers for wearing with jeans but eventually they've became my goto shoes whilst player soccer. Awesome! Some people talk about the squeekyness of the tongue, but i've never had the issue!

Very comfortable after breaking in. Initial discomfort in the heal/achilles tendon area due to high rear section on shoe. Protect area from blisters for first week of wearing. Shoes squeak when new. Rub small amount of hand lotion to the tongue and inside or shoe where tongue rubs to stop squeaking. Needed 12.5 but Adidas doesn't make half sizes above 12.

I am a soccer mom, not a not a soccer player, so I wanted a comfortable yet sporty sneaker to wear on the weekends. These were extremely comfortable and very supportive. Love them!

This shoe looks great, but wasn't comfortable at all. The heel is just way to high and digs into the Achilles tendon. Ouch. Only had them on for 5 minutes, and knew they'd be going back. The Adidas Samba Classic is a much more comfortable option if you like the look of this shoe.

I love adidas Sambas. I've worn them for many years as my daily shoe. My last pair lasted me for so long I was a little surprised when I ordered this pair. I love that they're bringing back more color combinations. Best shoe ever.

This is the second pair of my beloved Adidas Samba from Zappos that have the most outrageous squeak when I walk. I kept the first pair and have to explain myself wherever I go but am returning these. Do you have non squeaky Adidas Sambas? Also, both times one shoelace is shorter than the other...

Beware the squeak! I've been trying to break in a pair of black/black leather sambas for over a month, and they are the loudest pair of shoes I have ever heard. If you spend a lot of time in a library, or office, or art gallery, or anywhere quiet, think twice before buying these. The squeak -- like rubbing styrofoam blocks together -- from a casual roll of the ankle while seated is enough to raise eyebrows across a room.

Best shoes and they last forever. Just replaced my old pair that I had for four years. They're leather and kind of squeaky at first, but break in very fast. The fit is perfect, I'm usually between an 8-9 and the 8.5's fit perfectly. Arch is in just the right place and I still have a little room so my toes aren't all jammed up. Super comfortable. Classic sneaker. Do it.

This is a great pair of shoes. Adidas fit a tad tight on me as I usually wear wider shoes but that hasn't stopped me from wearing them around town. If I wore them for running or working out it would be a detractor.

Shoes are awesome! Now that they're broken in, they're wonderful! T first, they were squeaky right out of the box but I laced them differently so they wouldn't squeak anymore but the tongue moves over an just start to squeak again. My suggestion, is wear them in a bucket full of water and get the leather loose. They're super cool with shorts but I don't really like them with pants. This is my first pair of sambas so I'll see how the treat me! Good luck with your pair!

These shoes squeak loudly! It's the material they use to make the tongue. I've been wearing these almost every day for 5 months, and they have never stopped squeaking. It's incredibly annoying. I'll never buy these again. Stick with the original Sambas with the long tongue. No squeak!

I'm wearing my new pair as I write this, and I haven't heard a single squeak since my first three steps. Always thought these shoes had a great, simple, classic look, and I finally bought a pair. Nice to have a pair of sneakers that have classic flat laces again - I think my last 10 pairs had those modern oval athletic laces. Sizing: I'm a 9 / 9.5, and the 9.5 fits well. If I had ordered smaller, would have been too narrow, if I ordered larger, it would have been too long. They were surprisingly stiff at first, but I'm assuming like any good leather product, they'll take time to break in. Looking forward to some fun soccer games with the kids in these.

I've had these shoes for about a month. They were really squeaky when I got them (the tongue rubs against the shoe every time I took a step; kind of annoying). But this goes away after a few dozen hours of wearing them. I really like how they feel and look. They are fairly light weight yet solid on your feet. Great shoe for the price.

I just recently purchased these to replace my old Sambas, years of looking (my size was always sold out), and I think they are as awesome as my originals. Although they are flat, there is ample arch support for me, and I have not had the problem with the squeaking soles, as some have had. Very comfortable and the "coolness" factor all intact. I would highly recommend. I wear an wear between an 8 and 9, depending on the brand, designer and shoe style. An 8.5 in this was an excellent fit.

These shoes are awesome. They are very comfortable and stylish for casual occasions. My Sambas seem to help me attract rather attractive 5'2 little blond girls in the age range of 21-25. Thanks Adidas.

Breaking these shoes in was a chore. The high back on the heel was stiff and dug in for a while irritating my tendons (so it's good I had other pairs of shoes to wear). Once broken in these shoes are very comfortable. They fit snugly but not tightly - I have had them referred to as booties: they hug the foot closely. Style-wise they work well with jeans or sweatpants. I can't see them working too well with dressier slacks.

I love these shoes. They are a little big -- should have ordered half a size down, but by the time I decided that for sure they were not in return-able shape. I'd definitely recommend ordering half a size down. Other reviewers are right, they are pretty squeaky. Haven't tried the lotion-on-the-tongue solution yet but it doesn't really bother me too much.

Samba Original vs. Classic. Know the differemce. I have experienced both these pairs. Breakdown: Adidas Originals Men's Samba Reflective Sneaker has a smaller tongue, Old-school arch support, meaning flatter is next to none. I have worn nothing but Chucks and older Sambas happily for many years, and identify with the barefoot-running crowd, so for me, flatter is better. Harder to slip on and off, but once it's on, it fits like a glove! Yes, they squeak like everyone says. Doesn't bother me, but then again I'm not a movie usher, burglar or otherwise occupied in the skulking arts. CLASSIC: Adidas Men's Samba Classic Soccer Shoe. Has a larger tongue, easier to slip on and off, medium and enhanced arch support. If you wear air-soled running shoes, you probably won't even notice. Personally, I'm not a fan. Some people will prefer one over the other. For me, the clear winner is originals.

This is not the Samba that I have grown to love over the years. It looks like the Adidas Originals Samba, however, it is not. Different factory, different SKU, different sizing (narrower, shorter), stiffer leather, different tongue, different insole, and so on. Even the (very helpful) Zappos rep was baffled by this change when I called to explain. I'm so disappointed Adidas changed this shoe. It was a staple in my wardrobe (and as a professional test driver) was also my favorite driving shoe. "Boo" Adidas for changing this classic shoe.

These are a classic pair of shoes! The styling and construction is quite nice and the leather has a soft, supple feel to it. However, and this is my only complaint so far, but the leather squeals more than a rusty engine. Every step there is a squeaking! I thought maybe in a few days it would get better, but no. I eventually tried putting on some Doc Marten Wonder Balsam and not only did it kill the squeak it also shined them up beautifully and made them look really expensive.
