Not so much! I read the reviews and thought I could live with the squeaks if really comfortable, but it really is not for me. It is light weight which I liked, but dissapointed with the arch support and the overall fit, I am returning after trying on because I can tell I won't be able to stand in them all day.

Squeaky! Bought for my husband, but the leather is so squeaky loud. He is a chiropractor and was embarrassed all day walking around while working on his patients. Also purchased in suede - no problem with those.

I had give this shoes five stars, but they squeak, and loudly! The tongue squeaks against the leather of the inside of the shoe. I have been wearing these for several weeks now, every day yet they are still squeaking. I love everything about these shoes, but that squeak will stop me from buying these again. Back to the classics I go!

I've owned two pairs of the classic black and white Sambas and had my eye on this all-black for quite a while. After my old pair finally wore out I broke down and bought these. These are the most uncomfortable of the three I've owned. They're super stiff, much stiffer than the previous two pairs. The tongue is a lot shorter as well, and digs into the front of my foot. They look sweet, but they're not a pleasure to wear.

These shoes take just a little bit of breaking in. And they squeak a lot when you first get them. It was almost a deal breaker, but I rubbed a good amount of hand lotion on the leather where the tongue rubs against the rest of the shoe and they've been quiet ever since.

I bought the black/white color and love the look of them. They look good with pants and shorts. The only issue I have with them which is kind of major and wish Adidas would fix is that since they are leather, they squeak. The tongue rubs against the inner lip of the shoe and squeaks as you walk. I was able to take some painters tape and cut out a piece to go on the inside of the shoe to pretty much stop completely. Still... really annoying and could be fixed.

This is the loudest pair of shoes that I have ever owned or heard. For days I was trying to tiptoe around so as to not disturb coworkers and neighbors, wondering where the hell this noise was coming from. I finally pinpointed the culprit! It is the tongue. It seems to be made of some material that just squeaks and squeaks when it rubs against the rest of the shoe. Several weeks of wearing these, and still no sign of the noise stopping. It is embarrassing!

Very comfortable. Fits a little more snug than the usual samba on the first wear. The tongue is a bit stiffer than the normal samba. Takes a bit to break in. It is split in three and tends to fold over when you put your foot in. Looks more narrow on your feet, but only because of the all-black look. Fit is normal.

Love the Samba's...ordered them for my son for Christmas and couldn't believe how fast they arrived. Love Zappos!

Great classic shoes! The short tongue is more comfortable than the long tongue Sambas. They do squeek, but I rubbed the tongue with fine sandpaper and took care of that quickly. I have 6 pairs of this style and only 2 squeek. My fav shoes!

These are beautiful shoes. They squeaked when I first got them. They have a shorter tongue than the standard Samba. I will buy another pair when these wear out.

They were snug at first but then after I broke them in they fit really well. I like to wear my sambas to school and on the field. They are good every day shoes.

Upon adorning this pair of tennis shoes, it becomes apparent the intention of this shoe was control and comfort. Everything about this shoe, toe to heel, is sleek and snug. It practically sticks to your foot. I've found these sneakers a little bit uncomfortable to get on; And they are already beginning to wear at the toe a little too much after 1 month of use. However, after a little negotiating between foot and tongue, the shoe fits wonderfully and stays put all day. I found the style satisfyingly classic, but the zig-zag effect for the stripes seems a tad cheesy. Overall, a pretty decent set of kicks, doubly so for its price range.

I bought these as Tai Chi shoes, as I need shoes that help me 'feel' the floor. They are requiring a bit of breaking in, being leather and do squeak at this point, but I'm sure that will ease. They are good for a narrow heel, wider ball of the foot shape, which can be hard to fit.

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I have received many compliments from the "trendy set" which is always a plus with me. These are my new favs. I usually wear an 8 or 8.5 in most shoes. The 7.5 is perfect for me.

I remember these shoes were really popular growing up, but I was never cool enough to wear them. A few years later, I am cool enough, so I bought these. I had to return the first pair I bought because they were a bit tight (but that was really easy), and have since gone a half size up. They fit really well now, and are very light shoes. Support is pretty good, but could be maybe a bit better. Buy them, you won't regret it!

The shoes are comfy enough (although not great); however, I gotta say, they are loud! I thought it'd pass with wear but I've had them for months now and they're as squeaky as day one. They also feel and look like they're made out of plastic instead of leather.

I was super excited to get these for Christmas. They are the perfect has-been soccer player shoes! I put them on and it started. A very loud squeaking with every step, as others have complained about. I read the forums on how to stop it and it worked. I used saddle soap. I rubbed it on the sides of the tongue and where the tongue touches the shoe and let it dry. I came back 30 minutes later, wiped it off and viola - no squeak. Now I am cruising in silent style.

I've owned several pairs of Samba's over the years, and the quality in these has gone down substantially. Noticeable differences right off would be in the tongue, which used to be padded, and is now very thin and shorter. Also the quality of the leather used is much thinner than it used to be. Very disappointed adidas would make such a poor quality shoe.

I like them, but until broken-in, these shoes are squeaky as heck.

Good shoe for walking around the city and waiting tables at work. Very comfortable.

The squeakiest shoes I have experienced. These shoes made me a laughing stock at work. I had to stop wearing them in the office. They are totally broken in now after 4 weeks and still squeak, though not as bad.

Very nice shoe. Comfortable for walking but definitely not a running shoe. Casual. I use my old original Sambas for indoor soccer. I ditched the laces (grey) for green ones. Looks nicer.
