I got these boots as a Christmas present from my hubby. I have wanted tall riding style boots forever but I have not been able to find any that fit my big calves. These are pretty much perfect. Yes, they area a touch baggy at the ankle, but for a riding style I feel that it still looks chic. They are incredibly comfortable. We followed other reviewers suggestions and ordered a 1/2 size up and I'm glad we did because the fit is perfect. The leather is super soft and the heel height is just right. I have worn them with jeans tucked in and with a skirt and tights so far and have gotten compliments both times! These are awesome boots.

Best money I have ever spent. I didn't even need the elastic part. It fits just fine and I am a 16 and half calf. But these looks like it can easily fit up to 18. Only thing is I had to get a 7w. 7m was a little snug.

I have ordered 4 pair of wide calf boots this year from various places, and finally went ahead and ordered these from Zappos. I had great luck with some RSVP wide calf boots last year, and love Fitzwell pumps, so spent the extra money on these. Totally worth it. The leather is real, it's beautiful, and the hardware is nice. As other reviewers have stated, the foot is narrower than marked, so I made sure to order accordingly. I have a 19" calf circumference and have plenty of room to tuck in my skinny jeans. Got tons of compliments on them. I walked around all day in them and they were super comfortable. Cannot recommend these enough. Would love if they made these in a camel or cognac color - the dark brown is very dark.

Love these boots! I have such a hard time finding boots that will zip up my very wide legs. Yes, they do feel narrow in the width but seemed to be stretching some after wearing. Have already received many compliments on them. Will probably get the black ones as well and thank you Fitzwell!

Gorgeous pair of boots. Perfect effortless fit for my 18 inch calves. I have never been able to find a stylish leather boot that fits me well. Always a little too on the tight side. These fit w/ room for at least a finger or two, so I know I can wear them w/ my leggings or slim jeans tucked in. But, they are dressy enough to pair w/ a dress/pair of tights for work. Love. I'm in love. Great quality. Heel is just enough. Has a flat look, but that slight elevation makes them more comfortable. Perfection.I take a wide shoe size normally, but based on what others said, I ordered a medium width and they fit perfectly.

I love, love, love these boots! I have tried every possible wide and extra wide calf boots I could lay my hands on in the past 2 years without success. Too big, too small, looked cheap etc. These fit perfectly and look great... they better for the price. But, to me, they are worth it! They seem to be good quality, great style and fit over my 17.5 inch calves with room to spare. I haven't worn them out yet, just got them today but I'll update if they are anything but perfect.

I love these boots. I can never find boots to fit my calves. I am able to wear these with jeans and I can still zip them without having to hold them together. I wear a medium width and these were a little snug but after wearing them all day the boots have stretched and fit good. I did buy half size larger since it was sold out in my regular size, glad I did because may have been too small. Thanks Zappos for carrying hard to fit sizes. All of the other boots sold at plus size stores may fit but are not real leather like these boots. I do wish that the brown was a little lighter but I am still very happy. Also I ordered these on Saturday and the package arrived Monday, wow. I would definitely buy Fitzwell again, good product.

I need an extra wide calf for a 5.5 size foot. These are the best boots ever! So comfortable.

Love these. Had been looking for ages for boots to fit my extra-wide calves (18 inches), and these are perfect. They look a little like Fryes with the details, and have plenty of room in the calves--with skinny jeans on, I can put my entire hand between my leg and the boot comfortably. They're also super comfy. Highly recommend. One note, a lot of the reviews said to order a width size up. My advice is don't. I usually wear a standard width shoe, although I'm a little on the wide size. I wear these with athletic socks just fine, and am really glad I didn't get them in a wide.

Hadn't been able to find any tall boots that would zip over my calves, which I have recently discovered, are apparently larger than average. These are beautiful boots and they fit over my calves with no problem. However, I ordered them in my normal size (9.5 M), and should have heeded advice in other reviews and ordered a wider width. They were very narrow, so I had to return them. (And wider widths are now sold out in my size, so am trying a different Fitzwell boot.)

I am sort of in love with these boots. I have never spent so much money on a pair of shoes before, but wow, were these worth it. When I first tried them on the foot felt a bit narrow (despite buying a wide), but they stretched out within an hour. Unfortunately, they did stretch calf-wise, too, so now they are a bit looser than I had anticipated, but they are still fine. As others have mentioned, the sizing system is a bit off, so do order up. They are cute, comfortable (I wore them all day the day after they arrived) and go with lots of things.

I have never been able to tuck my blue jeans inside my boots until now! I love these boots, they are a life saver if you are in the market for boots for a claf that is 17-18 inches these are your boots!

I order these boots on Oct. 28th and received them on Monday the 31fst which was remarkable.The fit was wonderful,I got a size ten but when Fitzwell says extra wide calf that's just what they mean unfortunately I over estimated my calves and the tops of the boots where way to big,so I advise if you think you have extra wide calves measure them first with a clothe tape measure to be sure.the 18 inch circumference was still to wide even with pants. All said they are a very beautiful pairs of boots,but will be changing them for single wide width 16 1/2 circumference.

For the first time in my life, I have boots that fit my calves! They are stylish and comfortable! I wear an 8 1/2 shoe. The size 9 boot fits perfectly.

GREAT BOOTS! As someone who has big calves (17 in) and has been searching for a decent pair of boots for years (ones that are REAL leather, have a zipper and not some cheap material in the back that screams "HUGE LEGS HERE!”) I am proud to say that I have finally found the perfect boots! They are very comfortable and really stylish. I wore them today for the first time and received 4 compliments! They do run narrow, so order a size wider than usual. If they feel a bit too narrow in the beginning, after wearing them for a few hours they will stretch. If you have a hard time finding a boot that fits your larger calves, order these! They really are worth the price. ENJOY!

I just received my boots, and was not hopeful. But they FIT!! I can wear them with my jeans tucked in, and with socks, as I ordered a half size larger and WW width. I have big calves and had given up on finding boots. These are great!!

Just received my Fitzwell boots and wore them today! First thing is they are a nice looking boot and real leather. I bought the brown pebble - I have a difficult time finding boots to fit my wide feet, high arch and big calves (16 1/2 and 17) - so I selected these as they were shown as an 18" shaft --- did I say perfect yet? Anyway other reviews suggested ordering a larger size to able to wear socks rather than tights and so I ordered an 8 (normal 7.5) and the WW width --- did I say comfortable --- well they are - no pinching at all on first day and they loosened up just enough; without gushing about them these are hands-down the best boots I have ever owned!!! I will be looking at the other Fitzwell options I am that delighted...

Love these boots. I'm a size 10 and they fit perfect. Maybe a little snug across the top of my foot but they're leather so they will stretch to fit. The calf measurement is exact. Good grip on ball of foot but heel grip could be improved with more rubber.

Was smaller and narrower than a normal size and this was a ww size.

This is a great boot! I have a narrowish foot, but a wide calf at about 17". I ordered an 8½ and the size was perfect. The calf is very generous and for once I can wear my jeans tucked into the boot and still have a little room. The leather and craftsmanship are worth the price.

I've been searching for a great pair of boots, and I've finally found them! I've tried wide calf boots before and was always disappointed, fighting to get them to zip up. These boots were the answer to my prayers. They fit perfectly, zipped up easily (for a girl with a wide calf!). And they are super comfy! The perfect heel size to give just a little more height, but still sturdy enough to wear all day. The comfort gel inside the boot is also great. The only thing to think about is the foot width - I read a review saying they run a bit small, so I ordered the double wide, and 1/2 size up and I'm glad I did. I feel like the double wide is really just sort of wide. They fit great, but I'm glad I ordered wisely. Listen to these reviews people! And enjoy these awesome boots.

I love my boots and have worn them a lot...even though it is springtime! The leather is very nice and the calf is ample. I may not have needed that much room but I really can wear them with everything. Love it!

After a trial and error with another pair of boots that didn't work for me (that Zappos was absolutely amazing about, customer service was outstanding), I was pointed to another pair of wide calf boots with a reasonable heel. I stand on my feet all day doing hair, so comfort is pretty essential. I love these boots! The calves fit me perfectly; I can even fit them over leggings. They are very comfortable. I feel I can still be somewhat stylish in my job and also combat a Chicago winter. Very pleased with my purchase!
