I am 60 and have never found a high boot I could zip over my muscular calves before this. The wide calves were always too tight and were too wide in the foot because they'd only come in wide widths. I was thrilled to find these boots. While I have large calves and a size 9 foot it is not a wide width in the foot bed. There I'm a true medium bordering on a narrow in the heel. I never buy wide width I had no problem in the ankle area but that's not a problem area for me.This boot should fit a 20inch calf as my larger calf is 19 inches and this boot zipped up over it without any problem. IT does have an elastic goring in the side that I am not stretching at all. My other calf is 17 1/2 so it is a bit loose on that side. I wore them out tonight with my jeans tucked in. My husband noticed them and said I looked great.

I always have a very difficult time finding quality boots that fit my size. I love these. I did have to send the first pair back because they were too narrow. The second pair fit absolutely perfect. I have been wearing them around the house because it is still 100 degrees in AZ. Can't wait to wear them outside.

Wow. I can wear jeans tucked in my boots for the first time in my life! I can also zip these up without any strain except around the ankle (I have wide ankles), but even there it's not too bad. They feel comfortable so far and I think they are cute. I usually wear W widths; I got WW this time, in the foot size I would normally get, and the fit feels very good. I think I'll enjoy these this winter.

I have impossibly large calves (21 inches) I've been searching for boots for months but nothing fit me. I ordered boots from numerous plus size websites, but no luck. I am ECSTATIC. There is plenty of room for my socks and pants underneath.

I love these boots, true to size, beautiful, and comfy. Just bought 2 more, after trying the first one. I got a little larger pair for winter, so that I can wear heavy socks while riding. Very cool boots!

I'm a plus size gal with an 18 in. calf and it's so nice to be able to wear knee length boots. Love these.

I have been searching for a wide calf boot that was fashionable. I love these! so comfortable, room to spare around the calf, cushioned heel. I am happy I read the reviews and ordered a size up. I don't have wide feet, so I just orded a 9.5m instead of a 8.5m. So happy I found these!

Wow! I was giddy when I got these! I have a nearly impossible 21" athletic calf (size 10-11 shoe) for my tall frame and these fit! Without cutting circulation off, or digging in causing the muffin top look on your calf! I can not recommend these enough! They're so comfortable! Great looking with enough room to tuck a jean into. And they're leather! Fantastic price point. 10 stars!

My calves measure 18 1/2 and these boots give me more than enough room. I love the style. They are great with jeans but can be worn with dresses as well. They are very comfortable as well. My only complaint is the leather is not quite what I expected for the price I paid for these boots. Overall though I am very pleased with them. They do seem to run a little small in size though.

I really liked these boots, and there was ample room for my large calves, but they were both too narrow and too short. I ordered up a half size, but they were still too short. Normally M width fits me just fine, and in some shoes M width is a bit too wide. In these boots, however, I would need a W. I liked the style, and the leather and lining were acceptable, but I have to send them back.

These boots are really narrow like most of the comments state. The leather does stretch a bit with wear. I would have ordered a wide but they were out of stock. They fit my wide calf beautifully, I can even wear them over pants. I like them so much I'm keeping them even though they are tight on my feet.

Nice quality, plenty of room in the calf. I wish the hardware was more of a silver tone than gold but it's okay. They run a bit narrow in the forefoot so if you have very wide feet they probably will not work for you.

Cute boot. A bit dark brown for what I was hoping for. They buckle is cute. I ordered a few boot to try on and these did not make the final cut. The main reason is that I was looking for a higher rise boot and the color was to close to black for me. They are really cute thou. It is important to note that they fit my 17" calf fine. The foot bed is a bit narrow and I have normal width soles. Anyhow a great boot just not the right now for me to keep.

This boot is gorgeous, but the shaft is too big. I'm going to return and get the wide instead of the x-wide.

I liked these boots and was tickled that there was plenty of room for jeans to be tucked in. Unfortunately, I have pretty long legs (I am 5'11") and they hit at an awkward place on my shin that was not very flattering. They could work great for someone else, though, hence my high review.

I love these boots. I did have to size up quite a bit. I normally wear a 10, occasionally a 10.5, but I had to go up to an 11.5 (11 might have worked but felt a tiny bit snug in the toe area). I did add a gel insole for comfort, but if you don't have issues, the boot is fine on its own. The calf is very wide. In fact, if I were buying these now, I might go with the Stirrup instead, which is very similar but 1/2" smaller in the calf area. The leather is beautiful. I bought the brown, which is very dark and works well with black clothing. If you can't afford both black and brown, it's a great compromise. In fact, I wish they made this in a lighter brown shade so I'd have an excuse to buy another pair.

These boots zipped right up my giant calves with room to spare! They are not kidding when they say these fit 17-18" calves. I usually cannot find boots to fit my 17-1/2" legs, but these have room to spare. I didn't even need the elastic at the top. This is nice, because I can wear them with jeans. The foot is a bit narrow considering the size of the shaft. I followed advice of other reviewers and ordered a half size up and have no problems, as my foot width is medium and not too wide. The boots are nice and a soft leather. I'm not crazy about the Fitzwell gel in the heel thing, as I think this rubs my foot and irritates. However, that was easily fixed with a thin insole to cover it and no problems. The split toe design stitching on the outside was not my favorite, but when your legs are this size, there isn't much choice of boots. Overall though I am very pleased and appreciate that Fitzwell makes the extra wide shaft boots that are actually nice. Please boot makers, make more styles of Wide calf boots.

The other reviews were right-order a size or half size up. I like the look of the boot, it fits my 18 inch calves with room to spare. I get a lot of compliments on them. I just wish I would have ordered at least a half size up or a wide.

Boot looks great, but is very tight in the foot and huge in the calf. Sadly, I will have to send this one back and try another.

I am 5'7" and these only came up to a few inches below my knee -- I wanted them higher. They also were very wide at the top -- with a big gap that kind of looked odd. In the extra wide calf size they zipped easily over jeans. The heel also looked a little higher to me -- I wanted flat riding boots -- and the foot was almost a little too dainty (I think they look clunkier in the photo), some may like this, but I wanted a more casual look. I did like the buckle embellishment but in the balance, I returned them.

Love this boot ,Nice and sleek for a wide-calf boot. Calf fit perfectly, sadly, foot (MED) was too narrow, so will keep trying!

If my calf was smaller, I would not have kept these boots but there aren't a lot of choices out there in any price range. These are actually wide enough for jeans to fit inside. May be the first boot that was wider than marked.

I really liked the boots when I got them, unfortunately they are super tight in width to the point they hurt and the width of the calves is much too big. I have large calves and they are even big on me.

I thought I'd ordered the medium width, because I usually fit regular width shoes just fine. These were marked wide width, but they were very narrow through the foot. Very narrow. I'm not even sure the double-wide width would solve it. They were sent back. They did, however, fit my 17 3/4" calves comfortably.
