Not a wide, not even a medium!! I couldn't even get my foot in this boot! :( The calf may be extra wide, but the shoe part is a narrow on the wide width. Boo!!

The fit on these is not proportional. I have a medium width foot and while the foot area was way too tight, the calf was way too loose. The calf is extra wide. Cute design, but the fit just didn't work.

The best boot ever! This one fits great and feels great. I have17-18 inch calves and these have enough room for skinny jeans to be tucked in. I'm thrilled with them!

These boots are fantastic. I put in my own purchased inserts and my wide calves fit into the WW boot shafts! They were true to size for me (I'm a size 8) and the toe box was good enough to comfortably fit my mild hammer toes. Also, I am able to fit skinny pant legs into the boot with plenty of room to spare, just like it showed in the video of this boot on Zappos. Highly recommend.

Wow, these boots rock! I have never found a boot that would fit over my large calves. They are very comfortable, and stylish. I wear these at least a couple of times a week during the cold winter.

Great boot for my large calves - I even have an inch to spare. No problem zipping whatsoever. They do feel a little narrow in the foot but I'm hoping they'll stretch.

I have been looking for boots to fit my larger calves and ankles (inherited from my grandmother). The shaft of these boots was too large for my 17" calves, they were extra roomy. I tried the M width, but I really need a wide width in this style.

I love these boots. I have a pair of tall, stiletto boots with the stretchy top. I love them, but wanted a riding boot that's a bit more comfortable. I had a heck of a time finding one to fit my 17 inch calves. These, while labeled 18.5 inches for the shaft, are just right for me. They may be roomy enough for leggings or skinny jeans, but it'd be tight. Very cute! But the 7.5 feels a bit narrow on my foot. If anything I'll return these for the next size. I love that they're real leather. Well made. These will last a while and look great!

Hooray! I have 18" calves, ordered the 8m double wide calf, and it fits with room to spare, but doesn't look sloppy. Very nice looking boot - the foot seemed a little tight at first but is stretching out. I originally ordered the Bouquets Carmel 2 extra wide in 8, but couldn't get zipped over my ankle, plus it looked a little cheap. Thank goodness for Zappos returns and customer service!

These boots do run very narrow. I wear a medium and fortunately ordered a wide after reading the reviews already posted. The wide was close to being to narrow with a thick sock, but with really thin ones it does good. I love these boots and the darker brown. The calf is just big enough I am hoping to be able to stuff pants down in them. The design of the boots give a slimming look that I really like and didn't expect.

I usually wear a 9m and my calf measures 19 inches. After reading all of the reviews on these boots, I decided to order the 9w. These boots are perfect. They fit my calves with at least another inch to spare. Fabulous boot!

I have had these fabulous boots for a little over 2 months now & can without a doubt officially say I love them! I strictly went on reviews & took a chance on the fit. My calf size seemed like it was at the max end of the boot calf width but they ended up fitting perfectly! I wear a 9.5 & was nervous about not getting them a half size bigger but in the end I'm glad I did not because after wearing them just one full day, the leather seemed to stretch ever so slightly & they truly felt like the perfect size. I wear them with leggings most often & get compliments on them every time. Absolute best money I have ever spent on boots. Stylish, comfortable and great quality, I cannot recommend them highly enough!

I have a large calf and was happy that a stylish boot would finally fit my leg. These have a great sense of style but the foot size runs small. I do not have a wide foot or a large foot. I usually wear a 7½, but had to return these and ordered an 8½ and they are fine. If your foot is the slightest bit wide you would want to order a wide width. Order at least half to a full size larger allowing for a sock whether it be thin or thick.

I've been looking for a fashionable boot to fit my "huge" (I don't think so, but apparently shoe/boot mfgs. do) 15" calves for 3 years now. Finally, I found this one: beautiful and comfortable. I did go up a half size from a normal 6 to a 6 1/2, and I'm glad I did because these fit me perfectly. Oh, and I guess I should've been looking for extra, extra wide calf boots instead of only extra wide! Thanks, Zappos!

These zip! I am 5'5" and bought a 10½W. I normally wear a 10, but for boots it is normal to go bigger. My calfs are 19¼", and I have lots of room to spare, I even zipped my sweats into them. They definitely run narrow, so unless you have got narrow feet buy wide or WW. I have a very high instep which has always made boots a problem, these fit fine, no thick socks though. I would have bought a WW if that was in stock. However, if the instep is not involved I by regular width shoes. The ankles fit fine, not tight at all. I have big ankles, but not cankles.

I'm really into these boots. They zip no problem around my 17-inch calves, and I put them over skinny jeans and still have a little room to spare. If your calf is much smaller than my calf, you are probably going to think that they are too roomy -- even I wish that they were a bit smaller at the top, but for me it's not so big that it's a problem. The style is really cute, the leather is nice, I love the hardware at the ankle, and the boots themselves are pretty comfy. I am a regular width foot, but I had to return the regular width and ordered a 1/2 size up in wide in these, because otherwise they were just a wee bit too snug, and there wasn't going to be room for a thick sock. The foot bed is pretty comfortable, but the sole is a bit thin, so I'm thinking of adding a gel insole for added comfort -- adding an insole shouldn't be a problem because I ordered up the 1/2 size up/wide width. Overall, I'm really happy with the boot and am so happy to be able to wear cute, tall boots!

I have wanted boots like these for years, but my upper calves were too big for the boots I found. These Fitzwell boots have ample space for my 16 1/4" calves as well as feeling great on my medium width foot. I ordered a size 9 for my 8 1/2 foot, as I have always heard one should order boots this way. Besides, boots need socks! These boots are exactly as described. I wore them around the house for a full day to make sure they fit and were comfortable for long days out. The leather is quite nice, the hardware seems sturdy, and the zippers are smooth and of good quality. The soles and heels are comfortable and do not seem they would be slippery on wet or snowy days. If you have ice, stay inside anyway.

These boots fit great! I have very wide calves, and I could not believe I got these to fit. I admit, the first time I put them on it probably took several minutes to get them zipped all the way up, but once they stretched a little I've had no problems. They are also actually quite comfortable. I am on my my feet most of the day and find them to be fine for 6-7 hours.

I ordered the extra wide calf, as I am 6ft tall, have size 12W feet and a 19" calf from playing sports, this boot was a lot wider in the shaft than I expected. However, it was not overly wide to make me return them, as it sits very well under my maxi skirts and dresses, meaning I will be able to wear these items into the fall. I will be ordering another boot with a narrower calf for pants.

Quality leather and construction. I followed others advice and ordered the wide width. I'm glad I did, as the shoes just fit. I have a large calf, nearly 19". The fit was snug are first, but the leather loosens and I can even wear them over skinny jeans! Thank you Fitzwell.

These are the very first tall boots I've ever found to fit my freakishly large calves and are stylish, high quality, and comfortable. If you've been looking for boots that would actually zip up for years like I have, snap them up. For reference, I have 21 inch calves that are short, meaning that they widen lower down the shaft of the boot, making it even harder to find a boot that fits.

I have not worn these outside yet but they are soft, comfortable and look great with skinny jeans, skirts etc. I did have to go a for the wide instead of medium width. can't wait to show these off to my friends and the world.
