I love this boot. It is versatile and cute. The rubber soles allow you to actually go out in the snow, which should be the whole point of snow boots. But they are cute enough to wear anywhere. I have narrow feet and calves, so there isn\'t a whole lot of calf support, but I would still recommend these boots. They have the excellent lining and warmth that Sorel is famous for, and they are very stylish. Oh, and I am a 7 1/2 or 8, and I got a 7 and it fits perfectly.

These boots are excellent. I shoveled snow for 30 minutes in 0 degrees F wearing only regular thin socks with these boots and my feet stayed comfortable! The ankle part was a little stiff at first; other reviews have mentioned this. I did not think they were ever painful though. If you just lace them a little looser at first, it is not bad at all; they do break in with wear and become very comfortable. I would definitely recommend these boots to anyone who needs seriously warm and waterproof snow boots.

I love these boots! They are super cute and great for tromping to and from work in the horrible slush/snow we get in Chicago. They are super warm and also worked great hiking in the snow in Colorado. I had the same back of the ankle rubbing problem others mentioned; however, mine broke in just fine and I wear them walking to work almost every day.

Well, I haven't actually had a chance to wear my boots since receiving them. We were expecting a snowstorm here, which never came! So I will tell you that these boots do fit big. I usually wear a 7.5/8 US shoe size/ 5 UK, but I ordered a 7 for this boot. I was lucky enough to have a sporting store here that sold these boots. I went there & tried them on first. The 8 was rather large, even if I had doubled up on socks, they would have been too big. With the 7s I will still be able to wear a thick pair of socks. I'm not a 'fur' kind of girl, but it does lend a more feminine overall appearance to the boot. A friend came over & I modeled them for her & she quite liked the way they looked on. So overall just based on fit & appearance, I am pleased. What I was most pleased with was the outstanding customer service I received. Delivery over the holidays took longer, I emailed Zappos with my concern and they really did take care of me. It's wonderful to know that there are companies who do care about customer satisfaction & do go beyond your expectations. Thank you Zappos.

I needed boots for dog walking in winter. These are great! They are high enough for deep snow, and very warm. They are pretty good looking, too!

I live in a very snowy place so boots are important! I love these because they are tall, durable, and still cute. They were a little stiff to begin with so be prepared to work them in a little before you really need them. Otherwise, they are perfect!

I ordered these boots on the 23 December and I got them on the 24th December. Zappos really kept its word and I am very happy that I choose it from here. I love the boots. I wore them in Chicago and on the first day I already got a compliment for them. The only thing is that they are not really that warm, but the design is the greatest and plus for me they are perfect. Is true that they do run a little smaller. I ordered 5 and I'm usually a 6 or 6 1/2. But I truly recommend! Thank you Zappos for your great service!

Winter boots. These boots are awesome! I spend a lot of time outdoors. These boots are just what I need to survive a tough/cold winter. Fashionable and practical. Supports the ankle, plenty of cushion, and warm. I usually wear a 7, but I ordered a 6 and it fits perfect (based off what others said).

I love these boots! I got them to wear snowshoeing, and I have no idea how people can get cold feet wearing these. Make sure your boots are not too tight, and you are wearing sock liners and good wool socks. They have proven to be warm and comfortable all day in New Hampshire's White Mountains. I'm very pleased with the boots and with Zappos!

Oh My Gosh! Words cannot express how satisfied I am with not only these fabulous boots, but also with Zappos and everyone there who helped me with my purchase. First the boots, these are an absolutely fantastic boot to have in the winter, they will not only keep your tootsies toasty, but you will look stunningly fashionable while doing so. I ordered a size 8, I'm normally a 7.5 to 8 depending on the shoe/boot, but I had the opportunity to try them on in another shoe store and I found the size 7 was just a tad too snug. You definitely do not want these to fit too tight if you want your feet to stay warm. The 8s are perfect, fine with normal socks and plenty of room for thicker socks. Had the chance to wear them a couple of days after I received them and my feet were kept nice and snuggly. They are not too heavy and you can still drive a car while wearing them. Now for the amazing Zappos crew, thank you so much to the two girls I dealt with over the phone, I had special shipping instructions as I was having these shipped to my hotel in Portland. It was like Christmas all over again when I arrived and I had my Zappos box waiting for me to open. The shipping was super fast, the addressing was perfect, and of course the boots were/are awesome! I highly recommend not only these Sorel boots, but also shopping at Zappos.com! I will be back.

These boots are great! The divas who didn't like these must not do anything in the snow. Sorel took their functional but ugly boot and turned it into a lovely bit of happiness to wear while I spend 1-2 hours shoveling or walking in 6" of slush. These boots are built for harsh weather (rated to -25deg!) and I'm happy they look so good, too! They are a bit roomy since I usually wear an 8.5 and had to bump up to a 9, so I added a footbed, which adds the necessary arch support as well. If it gets really cold, I still have room to add another layer of socks. Several of my friends have had the old Sorel boots for years and most have bought this new style; they are so cute!

These definitely felt a whole size larger. They zannot fit over jeans though it appears in photos that it could. There is a tighter under layer of insulation in the boot beneath the seamed tongue that prevents from doing so.

These boots are so awesome! For me they did run about 1/2 a size bigger. I normally wear 8.5-9 in closed toe shoes and bought the 8, they fit perfect, even with wool socks! They are very comfy, very cute, and I did not have the problem with the liner coming out when I took them off.Zappos rocks as well. I ordered them on 12/25 or 12/26, and received them on 12/28! Now that is service! I've been eyeing them for the last year, and can't believe that I waited this long! Zappos is a great retailer and I will definitely be purchasing from again!

These boots are soooo super-cute and *exactly* what I was looking for in a warm, functional snow boot. Unfortunately, after reading the reviews about fit, I ordered a size 7 for my usually size 7.5 foot - and they are too tight. And they are not currently available in black in size 8. I\'m so disappointed because other than the fit, the boots are perfect!

I love these boots! They are fun, comfortable, and warm though my toes still get cold. They are better than my old UGG boots, though. I'm very glad I bought them and Zappos is the best because I knew if they didn't work. It would be hassle free to exchange them.

I am very satisfied with my boots. Where I live I cannot find size 12, so I was amazed that Zappos had not only the boots I wanted but the size, too. The price was amazing, too. Way cheaper than the store I saw them in and with shipping and taxes it came to the same price I would of paid in the department store. They are warm and very comfortable. I am so happy that I can actually have a cute boot as usually I had to buy men's or wear any ugly style from a store that has a selection of size 12, but they usually have ugly styles. I am very satisfied with my purchase and will definitely be ordering again. I will be recommending this site to my friends and family.

Just received the boots and was a bit surprised at the width of the boot. Because I have a narrow foot, I ordered the size 11 and they look huge, but I'm more concerned with functionality. I haven't made up my mind yet on the functionality, but again, concerns have arisen in that the back of the boot buckles around the ankle area, which makes for an uncomfortable walk. I will start my search for a boot that is just as warm, with hopefully more comfort built in.

Love it! First kudos to Zappos for shipping these shoes in less than 24 hours. My order went through last night at 10 pm. At 1:30 pm this afternoon they're at my doorsteps. I'm so excited. They look awesomely cute. Good thing I read reviews before buying. I ordered a size 8 instead of 9 and they fit me like a glove. I'm so happy! Winter, here I come!

Since I wear a 10AA-AAA, I ordered this boot in size 9 and am very happy with my decision. Although the Zappos rep advised me that the boot would be 1/3" shorter in the smaller size, the overall volume of the boot, combined with my narrow feet (and tiny heels) make the smaller size work for me. Since I don't own "thick socks", I couldn't count on that tactic to help fine tune the fit. Like all Sorels, these are a bit stiff to walk in at first, but they kept me warm and comfy during Denver's recent cold snap. While I wouldn't call them "cute", they're a lot more stylish than my last pair of Sorels (purchased in the 90s), even if the faux fur cuff is rather weird-looking.

I ordered some Reiker shearling-lined boots at first, wanting something "cute." Then I walked out on my back porch in -5 degree weather and the cold started seeping in within about a minute. So I came back in, took them off, packed them back in their box, and got back on Zappos looking for something that is actually rated for extreme temperature conditions. I wouldn't characterize these Sorel boots as "cute", maybe more "womanly." But it's never cute to be miserably cold or even lose your toes to frostbite! They are a good-looking boot, and they are made for serious weather. They're not super-heavy or bulky considering the rubber bottoms and how much insulation they have. If you live in a cold, snowy place and want something to keep your feet warm and dry while you're shoveling yourself out (and you'd like to look good while doing it), this is a boot I'd recommend.

I love these boots. They are warm and waterproof. I get so many great comments on them. They are bulky and take a bit to get used to wearing, but since they are for bad weather it is worth it.

My search for winter boots has been epic. I wanted boots that were warm, but not matronly; comfortable, but not some version of an Ugg. I took a risk and ordered the Joan of Arctic because the boot appeared to fit the bill. However, nothing could have prepared me for how delightfully they fit and how comfortable they were to walk in (I walk about 1/2 mile to work everyday, regardless of the many inches of snow and temps below zero). I would highly recommend these boots and, believe it or not, they're kind of cute. I could see myself even wearing them with a skirt, which is not something I expected from a winter boot.

Great fun! I looked at these last year while shopping for a winter work boot. I decided to go with the Caribou. Always a solid choice. This year, I decided to get a pair of winter "fun" boots. I immediately went to the Joan of Arctics. They fit just like a Sorel fits, so I wasn't surprised at the "roominess". I ordered a size 8, always what I order with a Sorel for my size 8.5 feet. I've ended up wearing them a couple of times at work, too, on days when I don't need a lot of traction. I just wish they had a little more solid sole. They feel more like a moc on the bottom than a boot. But it's not a problem, it just makes them very cushy.
