I have never been as excited about a pair of winter boots as I am with my latest purchase. These boots are easy on the eye as well as easy on the feet. They run comfortably true to size. They are warm!!! The removable insert is a god-send!! I highly recommend this product!!

Like others, I followed the suggestions and ordered a size down (I usually wear a 10.5-11, and I ordered a 10) - great fit, if anything I still have extra room! Great boots. I've tested them out in the snow and ice and they keep your feet toasty warm and are great on the ice. They're on the heavy side, but that's a minor downfall considering how functional and cute they are!

These are serious boots! First, I was very confused myself by reviews regarding sizing. I wear an 8 or 9 (I am leaning more towards 9 since having a baby). I ordered the 9 despite reviews that they ran large, and I am so glad I did. With a thicker pair of socks they fit perfectly. The heel does slide slightly when walking, but I think a little moleskin to prevent rubbing while I break them in will solve that. I thought the lacing might be a bit of a pain, but the boots slip on very easily as the laces are actually slightly elasticized (like little bungees). The outside of the boot is big though. I will not be doing any driving in them for fear of hitting both pedals at once, but for walking around the city or shoveling/playing in the snow I do not think you could find a better boot.

I haven't worn them outside yet but I can't wait until it snows! I love my boots! I go to college in Iowa and wanted something to keep me warm and dry but still looks good. They fit perfectly. This is my first time shopping at Zappos. I wear a size 12 shoe and it's hard to find shoes that fit. I was worried about buying shoes online but as soon as I put them on I was happy. They're perfect!

Cute and warm! It seemed like an impossible combination until I saw these. (Of course, I bought at Zappos because no one else carried them in an 11. Thank you, Zappos!) I have worn them a couple of times on chilly days (20s) and they have kept my feet super warm. They are very comfortable and a little heavier than my last pair of boots. I have a wider calf, but these accommodate them well.

These boots are gorgeous, the good quality is obvious and the construction is comfortable. Will definitely hold up in Chicago winters!

These boots are super warm, and being a "hockey mom" they are perfect for all the running around to arenas and tournaments up north, yes! They do run big. I usually take a 8 or 7 1/2 boot, but for this style, please stick to your true size, I got a size 7 and they are perfect! And now I'm ordering another pair in different color. They are so well made and you will get lots of compliments. So to all you "winter bunnies", be ready to look great in these boots!

These boots are the best! I have been stalking zappos website for these boots to come into stock for about 2 weeks. NYC was just hit with a major snow storm today and I got my boots today! I wore them outside and they were great! I stepped in big puddles of water and my feet were still warm and dry and my boots were still clean and pretty! However, I would order a size smaller than what you normally wear. I should of listened to the other reviews when they mentioned this, but I didn't. I normally wear a size 8 and I ordered the size 8 and they were too big so I needed a size 7. Thank goodness there was a size 7 in stock! Zappos has such great customer service they overnighted my size 7 when I ordered yesterday and I got them today! These boots were worth every penny! Only thing I will say, is that the boots are wide and if you have narrow feet, you may have to go down 2 sizes from your normal. I have very wide feet and I still had room, but its nothing thick socks won't cure!

Love, love, love these boots! They are super warm, but comfy enough to wear all day if necessary. Finally fashion meets function!

LOVE 'EM!!! I ordered them in Hawk. When I opened the box, I thought they were even better looking in person. Amazing quality, heavy, extremely warm and I have not experienced any problems with rubbing on my heel, though I've worn very thin socks. Oh, and great advice from the others, these do run big, so order a size smaller. They fit PERFECTLY. I'm so excited about them I want all the colors...they're so cute!!!

I wore these boots in Whistler recently and was thrilled with them. My feet were always warm and dry and they were a fun style to wear around the village. I found them to be very comfortable although they did rub a bit agains my Achilles heel unless I tied them very tight.

Love these boots! Very comfortable and keep my feet warm! I recommend ordering a size smaller than you usually wear, such as, I ordered a size 7 but normally wear a size 8.

I just purchased my second pair of Sorel boots. My first pair were Caribou style and are still wonderful! I’ve had them for at least 10 years and they still look and perform beautifully, but I have been wearing them to work, so I decided I needed and new pair for play. The Joan of Arctic were cute in the picture, so I tried them out. They are cuter in person! And soooo comfy! True to size. Great boot! I would recommend to anyone who wants to keep their feet warm and dry and not give up on style doing it! Also, I ordered the wrong size at first, so I had to exchange for the correct size... Zappos is wonderful! Great customer service!

LOVE these boots! I’ve worn a lot of Sorels through the years for warmth, but this pair is so stylish, and even warmer than any Sorels I’ve owned. I usually wear a 7 1/2 shoe and found the size 8 boot to be perfect.

My 1st pair of snow boots ever! I have been in the States for 8 years now, never been in this cold weather (it gets below 20) or seen snow before that. I've had my eye in this boots for at least 3 years. I read a lot of reviews and before I ordered online I went to a retailer near me and tried them on. I wear a 7.5 and have a real narrow foot. An 8 was HUGE, couldn’t pick my feet up or walk on them (the sales person recommends to go bigger, believe me, not with this one). A 7 was still not right. A 6 was just perfect, my toe is right up there, but I also found out that these boots are hand made and the liners will compress with wear and feel more roomie in no time. So I got me a pair on size 6. They are both fashionable and practical. Easy to put on and off with loose laces and super comfy and warm when tight. Your feet might get a bit too hot, but isn't that the point? (No need for extra socks!) I would absolutely recommend to go and try them on before placing an order on line. I haven't had so many compliments on boots before. They make heads turn and all of my friends want them now. (My husband thinks they are super sexy.) I got the chocolate brown ones, since I do use them to shovel and work outside, they seem to clean real easy. I also wear them to go shopping and they look very cute. It does take a little time to get used to them, of course they are not like flats or a tennis shoe, they are winter boots! but are super light. I will buy a separate pair of liners with no fur so I can switch them if I want to wear them under my pants. Hope this review helps you! Good luck!

I love these boots! I am normally a 10, but ordered a 9. I am so glad I did, they fit perfect even with thick socks. They look so cool, I have gotten a lot of compliments already and they truly are comfortable! I wish it would snow a little more just so I have an excuse to wear them, I feel they are a little too winter-weathery to wear on mild weather days... that is the only downfall!

I love these boots. They are so warm and cute. I have gotten tons of compliments on them. I normally wear an 8, but they were too big. I returned them for a 7. They are perfect. The returning was supper easy and fast, I couldn’t believe it.

This boot is super warm and allows you to be (somewhat) stylish at the same time. Thick socks and you’re ready to go! We’re hard core winter people and often outside when it’s -15 Fahrenheit. Sure they’re a bit stiff and heavy, but that’s to be expected from a boot offering such cold weather protection. My one complaint is the herringbone tread which very offers little grip. Sorel could improve in this area. Otherwise, if you’re looking to be warm and still a little cute - this is a great boot!

I love the style, but the boots were very stiff and hit me somewhere at the back of my ankle/calf that made my legs buckle when I tried to walk in them! Had to send them back.

I truly love these boots. I normally wear a size 9 or 9 1/2, and seeing the reviews that these run big, I bought a size 9 from our local department store, thinking that I’d have probably bought a size 10 to make sure I had enough room for thick socks, so a size 9 would be about right, but they were way too big. The store was sold out of every other size, so Zappos to the rescue. The size 8 fit perfectly. I can tuck my jeans/cords into the boots no problem. I have no issues with the fit of the boots whatsoever, they were comfortable right out of the box and my first night wearing them got a number of favorable comments on how cute they were. 100% positive all the way, these are keepers and I’m hoping for more cold weather so I can wear them more.

This is the perfect New England winter boot. Easy to get on and off, warm with a non-skid sole.

I love these boots. I really wanted good looking, warm and waterproof boots with a good tread on the sole for stability. These boots have all those features. I like the laces, not just because of the look, but because if you like tucking in your jeans, you can make the calves looser to accommodate them or tighter when wearing tights or leggings, without the calf part looking too big on your legs (I have thin-average calves). One thing about the sizing - after reading the reviews, I ordered a size down. I found them to be too small, so I sent them back for my regular size 9, which fits perfectly. I did this all just 4 days before going to Aspen, and had the 2nd pair of boots in time for my trip. Zappos makes it so easy and stress free to order with the free shipping and it's so fast. These boots are absolutely amazing! They are comfortable, warm and so darn cute! Especially with jeans tucked in. I wear them every day walking my dog, walking through snow and slush and my feet are always warm and cozy. Plus, Zappos sent me the boots the very next day. It doesn't get better than this!

Several years ago I bought an older version of these boots, in tan. I wear size 11 and they only had through size 10. They were a little small (not as small as you'd think, though) and the only real trouble I had was in getting my foot into the boot. This winter I was browsing through Zappos and learned that Sorel now sells these totally awesome boots in my size. So I bought them. Size 11, dark brown. They fit perfectly, much better than the size 10s do, and the size 10s fit fine in the footbed, so I was worried that the 11s were going to be too big. They must have changed their sizing. They're easy to get on and off, and they're incredibly stylish. In the midst of the snowiest winter I've experienced thus far in Michigan, these boots have served me incredibly well and I love them. Definitely a best buy, and because they're Sorel, you know they're going to last forever. (My mom has a pair that she just had restitched but are still going strong, after 30 years!)

These boots run only half a size big. I wear a pretty solid size 12M. Based on the reviews here and at Nordstrom.com, I ordered a full size down to 11M, but they were too tight. I was in northwest Missouri over Christmas in two feet of snow, so I wore them anyway. Although tight on my toes, they were tolerable for trekking through the snow and playing outside with the dogs. I wore regular socks. There was a windchill factor of zero and even with normal socks, my feet were not cold at all nor did they get wet from the snow. I highly recommend these boots! I have super skinny legs and it was hard to get them tight enough around my ankles and lower legs. Thus, I would have much rather had the size 12M boots so that I could wear super thick socks. Maybe I'll just have to buy another pair in another color.
