I love this shoe and just ordered my second pair of New Balance 927's but this time I ordered the black. When my feet don't hurt I am happy and content and these work for me. Ordered my usual size which is a 9 2A and no pain at all. Out of the box and onto the walking trail. Happy, happy, happy customer.

I had these shoes in white and they helped me with heel pain. These shoes look so much better with my khaki uniform but they do feel a tiny bit shorter than the white... and I have tried more than one pair of tan to be sure.

I love Chacos but they don't come in wide.

I had to get these in 1/2 size larger. They are very comfortable, if a bit heavy. If you're looking for a sturdy walking shoe, these are perfect.

I have been wearing New Balance for the last few years. I find them to be very comfortable. I have very high arches and they are the best I can find for that problem although I would like them to have more arch support. New Balance arch support just isn't what it used to be.

This shoe is well made, but is too tight in the instep with an orthotic. It also has less arch support and cushioning than I expected. I was less than satisfied with the fit.

Fabulous shoe, but the the lining completely wore out behind my right heel leaving my heel rubbing against the hard plastic support. This occurred within 5 months of purchase due to a small protrusion on the back of my heel. Considering the price, I was hoping they would last longer, but as much as I wear them, I cannot really complain.

I had a much older model of this particular shoe and loved it. However, the WW927 does not have all the interior padding that the previous shoe had and is therefore, not as comfortable for walking and standing. I don\'t know if New Balance recommends inserts of some kind but they definitely need them.

I am happy with my new balance WW927 in white. I have really wide feet in the toe span and these work. I had to buy 1/2 size bigger and an extra size width but really like them, they are comfortable.

Not too stylish, but very comfortable right of the box. A great walking shoe for someone with problem feet. Orthotics fit in just fine.

These are the narrowest 4E width shoes I've ever purchased. Usually I have plenty of room, including other styles of New Balance shoes but these have my little toes pinched and sore. It's almost as if someone was scrimping on leather when they made them because I can't even lace them normally. If your feet swim in 4E wide shoes but WW shoes are too narrow, these might work for you. If you need the normal 4E width, I'd look at a different style. I will next time.

I've been buying New Balance exclusively for several years, as I have diabetes and heel spurs, and this is the first shoe that has fit right out of the box. However, they discontinued my beloved WW926, and this is not an acceptable substitute. The whole reason for buying New Balance isn't looks - it's for the fantastic arch support. Unfortunately, with this model the arch support is either too low or in the wrong place, because for the first time wearing New Balance (and it's been over 10 years now), my feet hurt. I'd read that from other reviewers (on Amazon, not Zappos), and unfortunately it's true. If you're buying for arch support, you'll be sorely disappointed. As in dang it, my feet are sore. I went to Brooks, but they don't last, so I guess I'm down to orthotics, which is what I spent the money to avoid (I dislike spending more than $30 on shoes). I hope that New Balance corrects this problem, but in the meantime, I'm going to go get some Dr. Scholls to put into my brand new New Balance shoes.

Good question - would love some direction myself.

I have this shoe in black. It is very comfortable and with a removable footbed, so I can wear it with my orthotics. Also, it comes in narrow width, very hard to find in any other athletic or walking shoe. The one drawback is the design of the rubber sole, which has very narrow recesses that collect many tiny stones from gravel walkways. These little pieces of gravel all end up in my carpet or roll aroun on my vinyl floors, possibly scratching them. I step on them in bare feet and keep picking them up from the carpet. They don't come out when using the shoe scraper and can only be picked out with a toothpick. I hope the factory changes the sole to a different design so I can buy another pair that won't do this.

These may be great shoes... by the looks of the reviews, but boy are they ugly! sorry, can't see myself wearing these at all (and they squeaked!), even though I'm not a shoe snob!

They were not as comfy as I anticipated. Also, the eyelets are awkward. Did not like the look of the shoe.

I purchased the New Balance 927, since the New Balance 926 had been replaced with the 927. I much preferred the 926. I need the width of the 926 since foot surgery, but the 927 is not as wide, and the toe cap is not as deep. After experimenting, I ended up with a 4E, while I had been in a 2E with the 926. Why did they not leave a very comfortable model shoe alone? \r\n

I've been buying New Balance shoes for about 7 years now; I love them because they're the first shoes I've ever worn that feel built for my feet. Well, not this pair. I have to say that this is the first time I have ever had anything negative to say about New Balance. The big thing that I need is arch support - I have heel spurs and need good arch support, and like many reviewers, I find that the arch support, which was the main selling point of these shoes over the years, is now either insufficient or in the wrong place. I'm going to get one of those Dr. Scholls inserts to put into them to see if I can bolster it, or, barring that, see a podiatrist for an orthotic. Considering that I bought these shoes to avoid orthotics, not too happy. I had gone to the Brooks shoes because I had read this problem in previous reviews, but the Brooks tennis shoes broke down after less than a year. So, the question becomes - what to do, since they discontinued my beloved WW926?

I walked in these shoes just one day (one mile on the treadmill), and have developed shin pain in both legs. The entire bottom of the shoe is flat, and I think that caused the pain.

I recently purchased my favorite sneaker New Balance WW927 from Zappos and was was pleased. The ordering process was easy and the shoes came very fast. The price beats all our local stores . Another online shoe store said they were no longer made and suggested I try another brand...........wrong. Thank You Zappos. Margo

Hard! Hard! Hard! If you're looking for a shoe that is firm this is it. If you're looking for a shoe that doesn't have soft supportive cushioning for the bottom of your achy feet, this is definitely the shoe for you. It wasn't for me.

I loved these shoes! I got them when I was working 10 hour graveyard shifts at a convenience store. I had sole supports put in and they worked together seamlessly. The leather outsole is sleek and nice although scuffs easily and I didn't clean them often enough. They survived grease, water and beer spills. Although for the first month the tongue felt like it was rubbing my ankle wrong.

This shoe is a sturdy, hard-working shoe. The materials are substantial, the design is ingenious, and the look conservative. I would especially recommend this shoe to anyone who is above average weight. And of course the service from the Zappos family was exceptional, personal, efficient, and fun!

Will buy all my sneakers from Zappos in the future. New Balance WW927 ran true to size and feel great. I pronate so needed the roll bar. Feet have never felt better. Love the color- beige leather.

I have severe arthritis in one foot caused by an untreated fracture of the navicular. These are the shoes my orthopedist recommends to stabilize my foot and ankle and minimize pain. Along with the brace I wear, they do a good job--much better than any other brands I've tried. Since this is pretty much all I wear and I have white, black and tan Nubuck, I wish New Balance would make them in other colors. A black Nubuck would be great to start. Then more colors in the Nubuck, which lends the shoe a little more style and interest.

This is the most comfortable shoe that I have found. The toe box accommodates my crooked toes, the shoe does not pronate to the side as most athletic shoes do for me. New Balance must never stop making this shoe! Zappos must never stop stocking it. I am waiting for both the white and the black in my size now.
