These are wonderful shoes for my wife who suffers with plantar fasciitis, great support.

I was in a car accident in 2006 and it crushed my right foot and ankle. I have had 8 foot surgeries getting a total of 8 screws put in. I work in a fast pace hospital on my feet all day long and these are the only shoes that can get me though each day. I have tried other shoes to try to save move but I end up going right back to this pair of shoes since 2006, they are worth every penny. I depend on these shoes every day, they are the best shoes I have ever had and the most supportive. You will not regret getting these shoes for walking and being on your feet all day!

I've been using the various incarnations of this shoe for years. I kind of wanted to go away from it because it's... well... not pretty. But, after using less supportive shoes for a while, I realized that NOTHING beats this shoe for long walking. It may not be pretty, but neither is the pain and injury your knees can suffer in other shoes. I bought this pair and left a couple of days later for a two-week trip to Turkey. (Kudos to the excellent service and one-day delivery of Zappos which allowed me to do this! I LOVE Zappos.) I took the 927s and an older pair of New Balance country walkers (967) I walked and walked in these shoes. Used them for all walking over smooth surfaces and switched to the 967s for gravel, etc. The result: I lost weight, felt great, and never had a single moment of pain in my feet or knees. I came back grateful for these fine shoes that allow this overweight desk jockey to do things I wouldn't be able to do without them. Did I say I love Zappos? Add New Balance to that.

Comfy & wide. I have wide flat feet. I put in an additional arch support and I'm good to go. Walk all day in these. Great work shoe.

Gosh, I tried lots of other NB styles before I landed on these. They were fantastic right out of the box! I tried the Medium width first because I thought the Wide looked too clunky, but in the final analysis, I need the wide. The thing I like best about them is how they feel when I walk in them, which is great! My foot always hurts when it hits the ground in regular shoes due to lots of arthritis, but not in these! No limping! I plan on ordering them in black.

I bought these shoes specifically to wear when traveling to provide comfort on long tours and city walks while still blending with darker trousers and not having the 'sneakers' effect. I own a couple of other New Balance shoes for working out and everyday wear, but I needed something more appropriate for traveling overseas. As others mention, these are not the most fashionable shoes, but they are very comfortable. They definitely serve the purpose of why I bought them, since I can wear them for hours and my feet and joints still feel fine.

I have bunions which require me to wear EE width, as anyone with this issue knows it's virtually impossible to find comfortable shoes. I was ecstatic when I found these shoes. They were extremely comfy and true to size, I'm on my feet a lot so that's very important. However, after just a few months the shoes started to curl at the toes, very uncomfortable. The sole actually split at the ball of my shoe. This was my second and last pair. I was very disappointed.

I have a lot of foot issues and bought these shoes as part of a work uniform. I wear New Balance athletic shoes exclusively but these do not work for me. If I did not have to have them I would return them. The instep is too low and I do not feel as if I have very much support.

I have been wearing New Balance shoes exclusively for several years because of foot problems. The black shoes I am wearing now are about 2 years old and very worn. I have been searching for months for a good replacement at a reasonable price. I finally decided on these shoes, but they fell awful! Much too tight in the front and too high around the ankle. I couldn't keep them on even 5 minutes! Very disappointing.

I really wanted these shoes to work. The amount of comfort in the heel is unbelievable. But when I bought the medium width the shoe was too wide across the front. When I bought the narrow width the shoe was too narrow right at the ball of the foot because of the strap of leather there. I'm very disappointed, because I wore these shoes (they felt comfortable on carpet) and after 2 hours I could barely stand up.

I had hoped that these shoes would help my feet because I have severe flat feet and am in pain in not in the right shoe! I had to get inserts after paying a lot for these and still not 100%! Will not be buying them again!

I love this shoe, and now it has been discontinued and replaced with the 928. Bad move New Balance, bring it back. The 928 is nice, but larger in the heel and if I go to a more narrow width, it is too tight. This 927 is perfect.

I am a pronator so I need a walking shoe with good arch support and room for my orthotics. The 927s are the most comfortable shoes ever with a generous toe bed and lots of room for my orthotics. I do a lot of walking and since I discovered the 927s I don't buy anything else. This is about my fifth pair. I just wish New Balance would come out with a new style soon.

I have problems with the ball of my foot. This shoe provides excellent support and takes my weight off the ball of my foot. The roll bar keeps me from bending my foot when I pivot and eliminates the inflamation from this annoying habit I have. This shoe wears exceptionally well. I have bought shoes from zappos several time and the service has always been great. I have returned several pairs without any hassles.

For walking this is a great shoe. Very comfortable. Works well with my orthotic inserts. It also looks very nice as a casual shoe. I can wear them to work.

I have a narrow foot and have been unable to find shoes that fit in any of the local stores. The shoes I ordered from Zappos fit like a glove. I am very pleased with my purchase.

There was only one pair left in my size. Found upon trying it on that the left shoe wasn't sewn smoothly on the inside seam just above the big toe. Also, I guess this brand runs short in length. Other than that the shoe felt good and felt stable. Had to send back since it was both short and defective. Since I didn't get to walk in them, I can't speak to performance, so I can't rate this shoe.

I have a long, narrow foot and I was looking for an athletic shoe that didn't make my feet look so huge. So, I decided to go for black. This just isn't it. My foot looked absolute huge and chunky. In terms of fit, I find that athletic shoes tend to run a half size smaller than what I would buy in other styles. That seemed to be the case with this shoe as well. I returned these and will try another shoe. Thanks for making it easy to do that.

This is a very supportive walking shoe, true to New Balance quality.
