I REALLY have bad FEET, I have custom orthotics, and I need a wide shoe for them to fit in. This walking shoe is just about what my foot doctor ordered. He has told me that the NB walking shoe is what he tells his patients to get that have really bad feet like me. The size and width of the shoe is true to form. I would tell anyone that has foot problems to try this shoe.

Bought this shoe to workout in, mostly walking and weight machines at the gym. Shoe is great for working out and really keeps my feet from over pronating. Provides excellent support!

These shoes fit me very well. Roomy toe box, great support and stability. I had foot surgery 3 years ago, and still have trouble finding walking shoes that fit and support me well. My size (10.5) is hard to find, and these have been so comfortable that I've walked at least an hour a day since they arrived. The tan color goes well with everything, and the style isn't bad. I'm thinking of ordering them in another color. As with most New Balance shoes, these have no arch support, but the insoles are easily removed and replaced with orthotics or other supports.

Great shoe! Lots of support. Lightweight and stain-resistant. Great company, too. Thanks Zappos!

I am extremely happy with the comfort of these shoes. I got them because I am recovering from a broken foot and they were suggested by a podiatrist. I have been wearing them every day for work and have found they solve multiple problems. I have had disc issues, sciatica and foot cramps in the middle of the night. Virtually total relief since I started wearing these! Unfortunately, they are butt ugly! At this point, I don't care. They feel great!

The shoe fits very well and is very comfortable. I stand most of the day (school teacher) and these shoes are soft sided and are comfortable all day long.

I have had good luck with New Balance shoes. I have a lot of foot problems and NB shoes are the best shoes I’ve found. Some people talk about ordering a size larger, but for this style, my normal 8.5 was just fine. I need the WW for my bunions and the heels are narrow enough not to slip out. Also, my arch supports fit in there if I need them. On the appearance side, I appreciate the neutral coloring -- I don’t care for all the bright whites and color trims on a lot of shoes.

I was wearing a brace on my left ankle due to chronic tendinitis issues in my ankles. Since I have gotten these shoes, I have removed the left ankle brace and can walk ankle pain free. I didn’t realize how much having a rollbar helps.

My short, wide feet need a nice wide toe box, and these are just right! Hard to find my size (5 1/2 EE) so I was happy to see these in black. Love them!

This is a great shoe, especially if you need orthotic inserts. A comfortable walking shoe, true to size. Nice to wear from day 1. Generous toe box, no heel slippage.

I purchased these shoes after doing an on-line search of shoes that were good for plantar fascitis and metatarsalgia. The added bonus is that they came in 10.5, which is a very hard size to find. I'm a nurse and on my feet a lot and have had a very difficult time lately finding a comfortable shoe. These are great, comfortable, and have great support for someone that does a lot of walking.W hile I thought that they looked a little like they should have velcro straps on them,( a little orthopedic looking) my co-workers disagreed and thought they looked fine.

I really like these shoes. I got them to take on vacation and they were very comfortable on my poor feet. It is very hard to find shoes in an extra wide that aren't too wide in the heel but these shoes fit in both areas. I wish they came in brown.

Terrific shoe! Excellent fit on my hard-to-please feet (very wide toebox area) and the only thing I have found that controls my severe over-pronation.

New Balance WW927 is the most comfortable walking shoe! I wear size 11EE and wear orthotics. They are a little clunky looking, but that is probably because they have so much cushion. I\'ve tried other less-clunky looking styles, but always end up sending them back. I need comfort - and this is it!

I have had foot trouble for about a year now and was going to Dr. after Dr. trying to help it without getting surgery. I have Morton's Neuroma and a hammer toe. Finally I found a chiropractor that told me to get these shoes and is doing treatments. I put them on and that was half the problem solved. I did not want to take them off. Bought the first pair at a shoe store so I could get measured for the right fit. Then I ordered the second pair from Zappos and will continue to get them from here. Hope I can help someone make a good choice.

These are great shoes for me and my plantar fasciitis. Accommodates my orthotics just fine and feels great on my feet. They are highly recommend for someone seeking comfort. I can't really recommend for someone seeking style; they're just a bulky tennis shoe. If style isn't important and comfort is, these are definitely shoes to try!

New Balance WW927 is a good choice if one has heel pain from plantar fasciitis. I can wear them comfortably with or without my orthotic. They are wide enough in the toe box so they also work with my bunion and my hammertoe (geez! where did I get these feet?). In all seriousness I recommend them if one has these foot conditions. I ordered them in white and they are not as unattractive as I thought they would be.

The shoe was very comfortable, but the side flap sits to high up and hits my ankle.

Loved them... except they were way too tight across my foot (right where toes join body of foot).
First time I've every had this problem in any shoe -- and first fit problem I've ever had with New Balance.

I would love you to make these shoes in brown. The black ones look so institutional. The tan ones look ok with my khakis, but I would like a brown pair to wear with jeans. The heel is very high, particularly on this shoe. I am tall, and would rather not wear shoes that make me look so much taller.

These are good. They break in easily, but they seem to lose the support and cushioning within six months. I am ordering a new pair.

I purchased these shoes because I usually wear the New Balance 1123. I have PF and the 1123 is the only shoe that helped with my PF. People at work get all bent out of shape because I get to wear white athletic shoes with a Dr. prescription so I thought I would try these so they were at least black. After a podiatrist told me that the 1123 and the 927 were similar with a few differences I decided to try it. I have duck feet, wide in the toe area and narrower in the heels. With this shoe it is pretty evident that the width on the front dictates the heel width, even in the women's shoe. If you order a wide it is wide all the way back. They are much clunkier than the 1123 so I sound like a buffalo when I walk, and they are heavier, but if I can get them tight enough around the ankles they are not to bad. In the 1123 I can wear both the wide and the double wide, so in this shoe I ordered the extra wide. Since the heel is so wide I am going to return it and try just the wide width. When all is said and done I would say they are clunky and need to be narrower in the heel for women, but they allow plenty of toe room in the toe box and allow for you to put in your good orthotic inserts.

These shoes work very well for walking and exercise, but with the cushioned socks I usually wear, they feel tight in the toes. The arch support is good, but not quite as good as the New Balance shoes they had replaced.

Very sturdy. Sole doesn't bend. Walk, jump, but don't run in these. Buy larger than your normal size, in both directions though. They run small, particularly in width. My orthotics fit.
