Very pleased with these Merrell Siren Sports. They are very lightweight, yet provide good support and stability during my daily walks. As always, Zappos makes every purchase a great experience!

I love how light weight these are - less strain on the ankle and knee. I selected these because I need good shoes for a vacation involving a lot of walking in a northwestern city, as well as some light day hikes/sightseeing in state and national parks. I chose Merrell's because of their reputation, plus I didn't want white. The black and the brown versions looked a little too "hiking shoe" to me, so I got these in elephant/pink, which should be fun and will go with my brown travel clothes and with jeans. My usual size fit my slender foot fine, although I needed to add a little more arch support (I have very high arches). They are requiring a little bit of break-in time, but figuring out the right sock weight helped. Not 5 stars because I don't like the turned up foot bed in the toe area, but am hoping it will turn out to be good when I'm on my feet most of the day.

I needed good shoes for a trip to Europe where I knew I\'d be doing lots of walking. I have problems with pronation and pain in the ball of my foot. I did something you\'re never supposed to do, which is buy new shoes before you take a trip with lots of walking. If I had worn these around more before I left I would have known that I needed to add an orthotic with some arch support. If I had, I probably would have had better luck. As it is, my feet were very sore at the end of each long day of walking, and I now have heel pain I\'ve never had. But again, my own fault for not preparing better before doing so much walking. They are comfortable enough to wear around but before I do any real walking again, I\'ll get some arch support.\r\n\r\nI went up a half size in order to get enough room in the toe area.\r\n\r\nThese are great looking shoes!

I love the shape and look of the shoe, pretty trim look for a sneaker, really hip and up to date looking. Fits true to size. I'm a little disappointed that the step is not as cushy as a sneaker; I almost returned it. The foot's distance from the ground is good so it provides protection from impact and the support of the foot is also good. Again, I wish it were softer to the step, more cushiony.

I had been eyeing the Siren for a year and finally took the plunge and got them. I had heard so many good things about them I just knew they were going to be great for my plantar Fasciitis. Unfortunately, I was wrong. They just didn't feel right...something dug into the side of my foot when they were on. And the sole is hard. I assumed they'd have a rubber sole but it sounded like hard plastic when I walked across the floor with them. I wanted to love them because I do love their styling and silhouette but back they went to Zappos today.
