I was disappointed that these shoes had hard places in the toe area which makes them uncomfortable to wear.

These are great Shoes! The only thing I would like to note is that if you have any thoughts that you need a wide then by all means get a wide. Now that they have been broken in a little bit, it is not so bad, but just a little hindsight advice.

I really like the style of the shoe; unfortunately, they are just too narrow at the end. The support straps that run over the front of the shoe to hold the laces grab at my little toes, and I don't have a wide foot. I wish the wide width came in the gray color and not just the brown.

Wore these for hikes in Costa Rica. They were great in all kinds of terrain, with terrific arch support, and didn't take any time to wear in. The one caveat is that once wet they took nearly 2 days (in admittedly humid CR) to dry.

I bought the Merrell Siren Sport shoes only for hiking. I hike about 25 miles a week, and I need a hiking shoe that is comfortable even after a 10+ mile hike without giving me blisters. I ordered the shoes in wide, because my feet start swelling after I have been hiking for a while. I have only worn these shoes on a few hikes, and each time I have several large blisters appear. I am convinced that the shoes are just going through a break-in period, and eventually I will become blister-free. I find two things annoying with these shoes: 1) they slip on the back of my heels, but at least they don't cause any irritation 2) I think they slip on my heels because they don't lace very high up on the foot so the foot moves up and down more than it normally would in another shoe. Even with those two complaints and the blisters, they are still much better than most of my previous hiking shoes and boots. The only hiking shoe I've had that I liked better in the past was the Montrail Java GTX, and at this point I think I would recommend it over this shoe.

I bought these at a Merrell store rather than from Zappos, but I find the Zappos reviews very helpful and wanted to contribute. The Siren Sport was one of two pairs of shoes I took with me on a 17 day August vacation to Europe. I spent about 10 hours a day walking on most days of my trip and wore these shoes all day every day except for once when I had to dress up for a few hours. I tend to wear 9.5 M and found that that size worked for me in this shoe. I have flat feet and wear orthotics, so I cannot comment on the arch support, but I can say that no break-in period was necessary for me and my feet felt comfortable all day, even walking on the large cobblestones in Prague. I continue to wear these shoes often even after my vacation. My only regret is that I did not spend the extra money for the Gore-Tex version.

I really like these shoes. I just really wished they had a higher shoe lace hole at the top like some shoes do. I constantly have to re-tie these because I have a wide toe area but narrow ankles and they literally can fall off after 5 minutes. Great shoe otherwise.

Nice looking and fairly lightweight. The B width is too wide for me, even with a Thorlo sock. After half an hour, my ankles ached from pronation.

These felt comfortable, but they seemed a little "cool" for the fall and winter season here.

I bought the wide width and it still felt a little narrow; however, it was comfortable and had good arch support, very lightweight, good for walking and a light jog. I used them for walking tours in Italy. Nice cushion for all those cobblestones!

I've always loved Merrell hikers, but these were much more narrow than my previous pair. I returned these and ordered a pair of Merrell Moab Ventilators which are a heavier shoe, but definitely more comfortable.

This is my second pair of the Siren Sport. I like the feel and look for everyday wear -- not bad for a sport shoe. I have narrow, hard to fit feet and they work well with an orthotic insert. The lace-to-toe makes them more adjustable too. If you're an in-between size, I'd go for the smaller.

I liked the looks of this shoe, and they fit OK, but they just felt sloppy on my foot. I exchanged them for a pair of ASICS which hold your foot more firmly. I am on my feet for hours, and I didn't think the Merrell shoe would hold up well. I have other Merrell shoes that I love.

This is a great, sturdy and stylish shoe. I turn to these when I need good tread, without the look of a running shoe. Great for hiking and tooling around town.

This is my first pair of Merrell's and I don't know exactly what I was expecting from them but overall I am pleased. The insole really does make a difference overall in how I walk and the way it affects my feet. I find that when I wear these my feet/legs don't get tired easily which makes my job a lot more pleasant. The only thing that I really don't love is the tread. It is quite deeply grooved and tends to get caught when I walk (i.e. over uneven surfaces, metal grates, etc; although it just may be because I am not using the shoe for it's designated purpose. Overall I love this pair!

I haven't worn these outside yet as I'm still trying to decide about them. I think that they will be great. I usually wear Crocs so these are more structured but after some wearing in they should be fine. The colors are really pretty and they make my size 9 feet look smaller. I love Merriill's!

So happy to find so many styles on Zappos. Our local shoe store only had about 3 styles. This sports shoe is very comfortable and looks good. It's not as breathable as I would like, but I am keeping it because of the comfort. Thanks, Zappos. Your service is the best.

After receiving these very quickly from Zappos (thanks). I've just tried them on and am wearing them around the house to get a feel for this shoe. It is actually a replacement pair of the same shoe I've had for a couple of years that I thought was very comfortable for walking, but I just wore the heel down too much. What I immediately notice about this replacement pair is that it is not as nicely made as my old sirens. Some of the material used seems not to be of the same quality and there are some cut-backs on the size of the lace straps as compared to my old ones. Comparing each shoe to each other, the tongue is crookedly sewn so when you look down they don't run up your foot straight. All that said, I'm going to give Merrell the benefit of the doubt and hope these will be as comfortable as my last pair, which I thought were great.

These shoes are very light weight and cute, not chunky looking. I found them not to be as comfortable on the bottom, needs more cushioning for the kind of shoe it is and what you pay for it. I also found that I should have ordered a 1/2 size larger than I wear. As always though, great delivery time from Zappos!

These shoes are good for walking and give good support, but lack insole cushioning. I had to add some, but it was okay, because there is enough adjustment in the lacing to allow it. Arch support is minimal for me, I prefer more. Best feature is that they\'re cute and don\'t make your feet look big.

Shoes are comfortable and true to size, however are still a little narrow for me, I have extra wide feet so even the wide isn\'t quite wide enough. Wish that Merrill would make more wide widths. Zappos was the greatest to deal with, just awesome.

I love the look but felt shorter than size marked. I will reorder in a larger size to check out the comfort level.

These are great shoes. They are so comfortable and very durable. I recommend Merrells to anyone. Also, for me, the sizes run a bit small, so I had to get a 1/2 size larger than I normally would.
