Great shoes. True to size (I don't have a very narrow foot), comfortable right out of the box. I wear them all the time this summer. The color is gorgeous and Zappos was great, as usual.

These shoes make me feel as if I am walking barefoot. I love them! They are also kind of stylish for Birkenstocks. Zappos sent them tome in less than 24 hours. That is service!

These shoes are incredibly comfortable and beat flip flops any day in terms of support and style. Living in a big city, I need supportive shoes for walking long distances, and these definitely meet that need. The black leather makes them feel a little dressier and they're very stylish. I originally ordered the narrow width, but realized I need a regular (actually more like a wide in Birks) and Zappos overnighted me the correct size before I'd even returned the other pair. Excellent customer service, as always!

So happy that I bought these. I wear an 11 narrow, and these fit just beautifully after adjusting the straps with the buckle. The footbed felt a little odd the first two or three times I wore them, but soon started to mold themselves to my feet. Now, it's like walking in custom-made shoes. The only problem is that stupid plastic bit that goes between the toes. Why, Birkenstock, why? Again, for the first few wears, I found this actually very uncomfortable, but it has greatly improved since the soles started fitting to my feet. I do find Birks pretty darned pricey, but hopefully these will last for years. As for looks, I'm a big fan of the oiled leather, and like the dark red color. I wouldn't wear these out to dinner of course, but for running errands they're just fine. The Gizeh is also slightly more stylish-looking than the traditional 2-banded sandals.

I was unsure if I would like this color - but it is great and unusual from anything else I have seen. I have not had any Birkenstocks for several years but have developed major pronation issues and must wear orthotics in my regular shoes at all times to avoid ankle/leg pain. These offer great support and allow me some sandal time. Also the buckle strap adjusts nicely to accommodate my very narrow feet. The sandals do not slide or slap against your heel when you walk like other thong styles. They are very nice overall.

Love these sandals. I have bad knees so they help with that and are comfortable. They go great with the tribal look too.

Love them! I live in Portland, Oregon where you walk everywhere. I wear them everyday in the summer. They are very stylish as well. My feet are happy!

Love the style of my new Gizeh Birkenstock sandals and of course the way they feel on my feet. Even the toe part took very little time to break in. I have an older pair of Sydney Birkenstocks that I wear all the time and it'll be nice to have a change.

I just received these as a gift to replace my 5-year-old pair, and I love these. The color is beautiful and they are comfortable right out of the box. I love these sandals!

Runs big! I usually wear a women's 7, which should be a 37 according to their size chart. Two returns later I found out that I fit into a 35--2 whole sizes down. Now that I have the right size I love love them! Super comfy, although they can take a little breaking in, but the leather definitely stretches out some.

Love these shoes! Originally bought them to wear to work and around town, but I can't keep them off of my feet around the house either. They offer great support and are very comfortable. As far as Birkenstocks go, I like this style the best. I ordered the size I normally wear, but found that they were too big, so I went down one size and they fit perfect. Since Zappos has free shipping, it was hassle free.

This is not my first pair of Birkenstocks but they are my favorite now. If they weren't so expensive I would buy another color. I love the Henna color and wear them with everything from shorts, capri's, and skirts. I put them on straight from the box, no breaking in period needed for me. They run true to size. I think they look a little less chunky than normal Birk's. They have a feminine, younger look to them. You can't go wrong with this brand, style or color.

Such a beautiful sandal - I have the brown oiled leather and have worn them every day since I got them a month ago. They are super comfortable obviously because they are Birks but they are a little more stylish and pretty than the traditional Birk sandal. I've gotten tons of compliments. A word on the sizing...I can never decide whether I am a 36 or 37 in Euro sizing so I ordered both and they were almost the exact same size, 37 was maybe a touch wider. I ended up keeping the 36 because they were a bit more snug so I felt that they'd stay on better. Anyway, I would recommend this shoe to anyone.

The curious sizing of these sandals inspired me to write a review. I have worn Birkenstocks for more than ten years and I have always worn a 39R no matter what style they are. I am a true size 8 in all other shoe brands. This is my first pair of Gizehs and I was drawn to the beautiful, rich burgundy of the Henna color. I, of course, ordered my usual 39R and to my surprise and disappointment, they were too long! I had a good 3/4 inch to 1 inch of space at my heel and I could tell I wasn't hitting the anatomical points at their proper places. So I ordered a 38R and they fit great. The only thing I can figure is that because these have a toe post, they require your foot to be placed further up in the toe area and leave more space at the heel. Go figure! I love the style and the toe posts aren't as cumbersome as I originally thought they would be. See what works for you!

Oh, yes, sweet, sweet Birkenstocks. It's been several years since I have bought new Birkenstocks. I'm glad I'm back in them. I love this pretty, reddish color and the Gizeh is my favorite sandal style. They are feminine and simple. They felt great as soon as I put them on.

Love these sandals, super comfy and stylish too. So far seems to go with everything. I usually wear a 36 and am a US size 6, so decided to go with the recommended 37. Mistake! Swapped them for the 36 and they fit perfectly.

I love these shoes! I have 4 pairs in different colors. They are so comfortable. I can walk all day in them and my feet don't hurt. I can't say that about any other shoe I have including sneakers.

My first pair of Birkenstocks. I've pretty much been wearing them every single day since I got them. Took a couple of days for my feet to get used to them, but they've been incredibly comfortable since. I walk a lot, so they've been thoroughly tested, and I can honestly say, they just get more and more comfy with use, and they look pretty great with all my casual outfits. I got them in turquoise, and I'm loving the color.

The Gizeh - The Gizeh... I have tried twice before to wear this style of Birkenstock because it's such a cute sandal, but the hard plastic toe piece is too much for me to take. But, I decided to give them one more try. I broke them in slowly, carrying with me a second pair of sandals to wear when I couldn't take the pain anymore. It has taken about 6 days, and one nasty blister, but I believe I have finally conquered that nasty little piece of plastic. (Why, Birkenstock, can't you just use a soft little piece of leather?) Either way, I am thrilled that I can now wear my Gizeh's without any pain 'tween the toes! I even ordered a second pair in one of the metallics! If you are experiencing the same problem, I think the long break-in period is the key. Love this sandal!

Great summer sandal - I usually wear a 6-1/2 WW and got these in a 36 regular. The length is fine (surprisingly) and the shoe is none too wide but is already conforming comfortably to my feet. The toe piece is stiff but it doesn't rub -- unlike other thongs, you don't have to grip your toes on the thing to keep the shoe on. It is great to find a thong(ish) sandal that doesn't slap or slip around! The silver isn't too shiny and is very versatile. So happy!

Birkenstock Gizeh - I've owned Birks for years and have several styles. I was worried these would by uncomfortable between my toes. It was totally unfounded. Comfortable immediately and I've worn them shopping. These are fun, stylish (compared to other Birks), and comfy. p.s. I have a wide foot and don't know how they'd fit a narrow. As far as incorrect sizing, they're going off of what Birkenstock states. If you have a problem with your width/length, it's because of Birkenstock, not Zappos.

The plastic piece between the toes is a little stiff, but the rest of the shoe is very comfortable. Have received lots of compliments on the color. This will be my summer shoe of choice!

Perfect for stylish summer - I recently ordered this sandal in silver. Not only do they feel great, from the start, but the Gizeh also look good with everything from a black dress to my favorite jeans. I know they're not cheap, but they will last a lifetime. And what makes it better is that Zappos shipped them next day. Now that's what I call instant (shoe) gratification.

Love it! I am having serious foot problems (Plantar Fascia) and Birkenstocks are one of the few shoes that I can presently wear with comfort! The Black Patent Gizeh is great and looks good with skirts for my working environment, yet is so comfortable to wear all day.

Great comfort - Very durable-I soaked it in water and wet sand last year and it is still intact! Looks great; easy to wear, just slip it on; most of all, it's therapeutic for my achy feet. What great service from Zappos, I received it the next day!
