I normally wear a 6.5 - 7 and I ordered the 37. They came quickly, but when I tried them on they were a size too big. I was so disappointed because I loved the way they looked and wanted to wear them right away! So I immediately got on a live chat with a Zappos employee who was able to send out a new pair with free next day shipping as long as I returned the first pair within two weeks. I just received the new ones and I have never been happier - both with the shoe and the customer service that I received here. I will definitely come back to shop for all of my future shoes and possibly another pair of Birkenstocks. Invest in them! They are totally worth it. You can walk all day without worrying about your feet hurting.

This is a great shoe. I have been wearing Birkenstock for many years and needed a certain color blue. Zappos.com had what I needed at a great price and with wonderful service!

I've been wearing Birkenstocks for 25 years and these are by far my favorite pair ever. Comfortable right out of the box for a full day of walking. They don't slip off my feet at all and I've had no issues with the piece between the toes. Since I've had them, I've noticed so may people wearing them. Definitely the Birkenstock style of choice here in NYC!

I absolutely love these sandals, I have not worn anything else since they arrived, extremely comfortable and go great with anything from jeans to dresses. I order down a full size and they are a perfect fit. Love the color, well worth the money to upgrade to leather.

The Arizona has always been my favorite style but this one might just take its spot! After reading a lot of reviews and going on the Birkenstock website re fit and sizing I was able to get a good fit. You really don't want your toes touching the raised edge of the shoe. They should lay flat. You also don't want the foot bed to wide. Very important if the toe piece hurts try tightening the strap. I've been wearing Birkenstocks for a very long time and even I need to break a new pair in. They mold to your feet and are the most amazing shoes but you have to break them in. I generally wear a size 9 regular width. In Birkenstocks I usually buy a 40 Narrow. This shoe has the original footbed which I really like.

So I have never had Birkenstocks before, but as they are "in" this year, I jumped on the bandwagon. They are cute, for casual wear, and of course very comfortable. I would highly recommend!

These sandals are so cute, but returned them because the stiff toe piece was too much for my toes. Got the Larisa model instead, same leather look but much more comfortable. The narrow width is a great option.

I love the shoe style and the color. I normally wear a US size 7. I ordered EU37 that is described as Us 6-6 1/2. it much too large. Will try a 36.

This is my second pair of the Gizeh. It's the most comfortable shoe I have. You can walk for hours and be just fine.I've worn Dansko, Naot, Keen, etc. and Birkenstock's quality is always great. This pair should look great for years to come. The leather is beautiful.

I love the Gizeh style and the classic oiled leather materials in this sandal. This is the 4th pair I've owned in the last 20 years and I wear them often with casual skirts and pants. The Birkenstock footbed is supportive and comfortable for walking, and the oiled leather does not need breaking in to feel good. Highly recommended.

Comfortable footbed, but the plastic toe thong makes these almost unbearable. I bought two pairs in two colors. I spent a lot of time trying to "break in" one pair, but the toe discomfort remains. The other pair will be returned.

These shoes are incredibly comfortable the first time you put them on! I love them! The piece between your big toe may be a bit uncomfortable at first, but that goes away quickly. The arch support is my absolute favorite part. And, of course, Zappos is fantastic and these shoes were on my doorstep in a day!

LOVE these shoes. They felt weird initially, with all of the different built-in supports, but after a couple of days they felt more broken in and comfortable. I have never had any blisters during this process. I ordered the narrow because I have fairly narrow feet, but they could have been even narrower. I normally wear 8.5 and these are mostly true to size, though maybe slightly a bit big, but not big enough to go down a size. They felt a little large and clunky at first, but now they are so comfortable that I don't mind or notice. Overall, now that I've been wearing them a few weeks, I love them!

I love this shoe. I am not replacing my other Gizeh oiled leather sandals which I have been wearing for 22 years. Now I have two pairs for different occasions. My original pair have been worn to the grocery store, airport, birding in central america, walking dirt roads and still comfy and looking good in cities and towns. I wear a US shoe size 7-7.5. Birkenstock recommends a 38, but 37 is perfect for me.

I started looking into Birkenstock sandals because my feet were hurting in flat flip flops/sandals. This provides excellent arch support, the style and color is chic, and although it's pricier than a flip flop, I think it's worth it (for feet, quality & style). I usually wear 7 or a 7.5 for regular shoes, but ordered 37 (US size 6-6.5), so I think you have to order down a bit.

I bought the black oiled Gizehs, which are my first pair of Birkenstocks, and I'm very impressed by the style, comfort, and quality. I'm a true 8.5US and bought both the 38R and 39R because I was a little worried about sizing. The 39Rs fit perfectly! The "US Women's sizing" (in the drop-down size menu) was spot on for me. My wardrobe is pretty clean, tailored, & minimalistic with a lot of black/white/grey and I'm having no trouble pairing these with a lot of my clothes. The sandals I once thought would be too "earthy" for me are actually pretty versatile! I can definitely see myself wearing these for many, many years to come. It was worth the investment to get the leather vs. Birkoflor. I got both to compare, and the leather soles feel completely different. They take very little wearing in to fit perfectly. As far as sizing, I wear a 9.5 shoe, and I definitely remember a time when Birkenstock made their shoes so oversized that I wore a 39 narrow. But in these I ended up going with a 41 regular, which is supposed to be size 10. The correct fit is for your toes to have room to expand and grip the toe bar when you walk, which is the natural walking motion.

Absolutely LOVE these sandals! mine are worn out after wearing them nonstop for 2 summers! My feet LOVE them and I need to get another pair in time to go to Las Vegas and walk my legs off in March. you sent me the wrong ones so I'm returning for the right color. Love! I have one pair for the house, and one for outside. My first pair lasted me 3 years of wearing them all summer in MI.

This is my second pair of this style. I love them they are comfortable and true to size. The oiled leather is really nice. I wear them so often and find they are easy to pop on with lots of outfits and they look great.

After wearing support-less flip-flips all summer while running 20+ miles a week, my feet were killing me. I decided supportive shoes were in order and remembered fondly my Birks from high school and college, so I ordered these. These were a life saver, making running painless again and quickly becoming my commuting shoes, grocery shopping shoes, walking the dog shoes, cute with a boho dress shoes, and more. I would recommend them to anyone and I have! I got the narrow width and a 39 fit my 8.5 feet just right.

I love these sandals! My husband has had his Birkenstock sandals for 15 years (we did get them re-sole twice) and he swears by them, so I finally got a pair. They are great. I live in Greece and do a lot of walking. My back/knees/hips haven't hurt at all when I have worn these shoes (I'm not 80, but 2 pregnancies have done a number on my body). Also, a LOT of the sidewalks here are marble and the tread on these are good enough to keep my from falling, which is a plus for a clumsy gal like myself. The plastic toe thing doesn't bother me at all, unlike some of the other reviewers. I haven't even really noticed it, but I was a hard core flip flop wearer (the cheap kind) so these shoes are a big step up for me. I didn't want to spend the money on these (like I said-former flip flopper here), but it is soooo worth it. I wish I had bought them forever ago, and fully plan on having them for years. Oh, one more thing, I wear a 8 and 1/2 normally and got the size 39, which is a good fit, but my mom who wears 8 and 1/2 as well found these to be just a little short on her. So you may want to order two sizes just to see and send one back.

Love these sandals. I bought narrow because I am very slim and have narrow feet. I usually buy regular sizes but I found the narrow is a better fit in this particular brand.

I got these sandals because I was going to be doing a lot of walking on an upcoming trip. At first, the toe post felt a little strange, but I quickly got used to it, and now, I love these. They were perfect for walking all around the uneven sidewalks and streets of Europe on our trip, and they're perfect for running errands at home.
