After getting bunion surgery on my left foot, I knew I'd need another pair of Birkenstocks! I decided on the Gizeh because it wouldn't go directly across my scar and it doesn't. Very comfortable and stylish. I'm a size 8 normally and got the 38, as I have in the past and they fit perfectly. I'll probably even order another pair. Thanks for being awesome Zappos!

I normally wear size 6.5 in sandals but I always order 5-5.5 in Birkenstocks. These are great shoes and last forever!

My first pair of Gizeh sandals lasted me six years. This new pair has the exact same great quality and design. This time though, I got the narrow version, which fits my very thin foot better. These sandals protect my foot much better than flip flops and give me arch support. They fit like a glove and only get better with time. Love these sandals and will buy them again and again.

I was worried that the thong would be uncomfortable, but they feel great! I got blisters between my toes the first time I wore them, but they were fine after that. You just need to build up a bit of a callous. I find these to be more attractive than other Birkenstocks (maybe because I see so many celebrities wearing them). I'm an over pronator so I need a lot of support, and these definitely do the job. I love them and I'm so glad it's summer so I can wear them every day!

I recently ordered a different pair of birkenstocks because I have worn these to the ground over the past two years. I realized I hadn't written a comment about these anywhere and had to do them justice and share how much I LOVE these sandals. They are cute, nothing extremely stylish, but I wear them with everything and they go well. They are also beyond comfortable and have endured many, many days and different weather conditions and have done fine. I will keep these forever!

I love, love these! I have 3 pairs of the Gizeh's, 2 of the oiled leather and one pair of the Birko-flors. I love the colors they come in. They are the most comfortable shoes I own I found that I had to order a size down as many other have mentioned. I normally wear an 8 1/2 which would be a 39. They were too big and the 38s are perfect. I never even needed a break-in period with this style. I plan on ordering more colors in the near future!I just ordered a pair of the Mayaris but am returning as I just don't like the feel of this style. The Gizeh's are stylish and so comfy!

I've worn Birkenstocks for years, but usually the more traditional Arizona or Milano styles. This time I wanted something a little cuter, and these shoes deliver! They're cute, comfortable, and provide great support. I think it's worth the extra money to get the real leather. I loved these so much, I ordered a second pair in Tobacco (in addition to my first pair, in Black).

Purchased these because I have plantar fasciitis and wanted arch support. Love them. I was worried that they wouldn't be fashionable, but I receive many compliments on them.

I'm in love. Not only are these shoes beautiful but they're so comfortable. I wear them everyday. Perfect for Spring and Summer.

Great quality, one of the classic Birkenstock shapes -- the leather ages much more beautifully than the birki-flor. Runs a bit large -- I'm a wide 38 in most European sizing and got a 37 regular in these.

I've worn 37N Birkenstocks for over a decade, but I got these in 37R. I think I may have been wearing the wrong width all along and only noticed it because with strap placement in the Gizeh I could see that my foot reached the edge on the sides. Before I always got Florida, Pisa, or Sydney. I got the henna color, which is a little darker than the image but still a nice dark red leather. I'll probably get a second pair in black once I am ready to replace my black Sydneys. General comments: I've had both hard and soft footbeds. A break-in period is normal for both types, but I've found that the soft footbed Birkenstocks wear in faster if not instantly. Hard footbeds are better at surviving water - they don't get squishy when wet.

I have had 3 pairs of Gizeh leather sandals. I just ordered a replacement, which turned out to be too big, and was the worst dye job I have ever seen on Birkies. They are an extremely comfortable sandal. I live in them all summer.

These shoes were much more comfortable than I thought they would be. I thought they would need a breaking in time, but they are comfortable right out of the box. They will be perfect for spring and summer with pants, capris, shorts, and even casual dresses.

An avid Birkenstock fan, this was not my favorite style of B. sandal. It did lend to more style while not sacrificing comfort, but I can't wear it for as long as I can some of my other styles, probably because of the tab at the top of the toe. Cute with jeans or longer pants. My boys (12 & 16) accuse me of living in the 60's when they see me wearing them. Of course, Zappos.com is the ONLY place to buy shoes!

As always, Birkenstocks are exceptionally well made and kind to my feet. Having a left foot that's pretty much of a train wreck with Morton's Neuroma (doesn't bother me as long as I have my Birks on) and the joint in my big toe is bone on bone......I live in Birkenstocks. Must say that these are a little bothersome because of the piece between the toes. I do love the looks and still wear occasionally.

Great sandals. I have always loved Birkenstocks, these have a more modern look and can get a little bit dressy. I did get blisters in-between my toes after my first full day of ware but so comfy after they were broken in. I think I would prefer a leather thong rather than a plastic one. I am usually a 7.5 and a 37 fits me perfectly.

Bought these to walk back and forth to work and to travel around Europe...they are great! Takes a little breaking in, but very comfortable and durable. Also, everyone in Italy was wearing variations (and knockoffs) of this shoe. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a durable, comfortable, and stylish sandal.

I have 3 pairs of these - in white and henna leather and one in red suede. I wear them all the time. The only problem I have ever had is the dye coming off on my feet, especially if they have gotten wet. I solved this by painting the inside leather with clear nail polish.

Great shoe. Love the style and leather strap. I am normally a size 9 and ordered the 39. Fits perfectly.

These are my first Birkenstocks. I only recently found out they come in narrow sizes, so I decided to try them. I love the ease and comfort of these sandals. They are extremely lightweight, yet they provide great support. I would definitely recommend them.

Love these shoes, very comfortable now, though it took about a week to break them in. The oiled leather is really so much nicer than the cheaper materials that these sandals can be made with. Would recommend ordering a size down, and in narrow.

This is the third pair in 5 years. I love them. They are comfortable and my back doesn't bother when wearing them.

These shoes have a solid foundation with lots of arch and heel support. You do have to wear them a few times to mold them to the specify shape of your feet. Once you get past that initial break in they'll become your favorite sandals. They look great with jean as well as a summer dress. The color Tan is especially sexy.
