Support and comfort - I need a comfortable walking shoe that is passable for a business casual office. I've had decent experiences in the past with New Balance walking shoes. I have a wide foot and am an overpronator, so when I saw these are specifically designed for overpronators, I thought I should give them a try. After a few weeks, they are very comfortable, possibly the most comfortable walking shoes I've ever worn. The fit is stiff but well-padded, as you might expect for a shoe that is trying to maximize support. Like the New Balance, I would have ideally liked the appearance to be slightly dressier for the office, but they are good enough. When I get my next pair of athletic shoes, I am definitely going to check out other models from Brooks.

Brooks Addiction Walker - This newest version of a classic shoe; fits well and gives excellent support for someone who likes to walk a lot. They work well with orthotics.

The 08 model is improved - This has been my main shoe for several years. Fitted with orthotics it works very well for me. This newer model seems cushier and even more comfortable...

Fantastic Shoe For Flat Feet - These shoes were recommended to my husband by a pedorthist for his extremely flat feel. His feet have hurt him for over 10 years. I bought them for him as a present and these fantastic shoes have completely changed his life. He can now walk almost unlimited distances with no pain. He had tried many, many other shoes with no success. These shoes fit snugly around the arch and across the bridge of the foot and he claims that makes all the difference for a person with flat feet. He had to go a full size larger than normal, but then bought the narrow width in order to keep the support for his arch and the orthotic he wears in the shoe. He talks about how fantastic these shoes are all the time and how they changed his life. He says "there is no better shoe in the world for flat feet" and that he wished he'd found them 10 years ago. He has since bought another pair.

Great Shoe - Been having problems with my feet and these are really comfortable. Lots of room in the toes.

Walking shoe - Good and comfortable; a little tight on right toe side. I put some lotion on the inside of the shoe to stretch it a little.

Brooks All Leather - The all leather holds up well. I kneel a lot on hard surface, so it is important for the toe area to be strong and this shoe does meet those needs. I ordered a larger size to accommodate orthotics. The color white gets dirty fast, but shows less scuffing than black, which I wear not during work hours.

Best walking shoe ever - These have the best fit of any walking shoe I've ever tried. You won't be sorry, great support and style.

Repeat customer for life - My husband and I used to come home at night and have "my feet hurt" contests. Now we have nothing to talk about! Thank you for allowing us both the free air space to listen (not just watch) TV together.

Comfort at its best!!!! Brooks Addiction Walker 08 is the best fit in a walking shoe for me personally. Comfort and fit is the key.

A Perfect Fit - No Complaints - Received shoes in the early afternoon and tried them out right away. Went for a 3.5 mile walk without experiencing any discomfort or problems. Keep up the good work. I've purchased several walking shoes from ZAPPOS and never had any problems. Always read customer's reviews when preparing to purchase shoes.

I like these better than any other. Good shoes are hard to find for the uses I need and the surfaces I use. Ten hour shifts walking and standing on airport concrete. I had a pair of Brooks Synergy that were better than Hush Puppies or Clarks; Danskos, Nike or New Balance. The Addiction Walker is built on the same last as the as the Synergy, so I compared them to Drew Force and Big Easy. I have wide feet and not many fit. Brooks do. Brooks are comfortable right away, non-plastic surfaces don't strain the soles of my feet, and they are supportive... The best shoe I have owned for this use in 60 years.

Great Shoe - I ordered my first pair last summer. They felt heavy at first but they have been great for my 3 mile walks. I am on my feet all day as a teacher so these plus my orthotics are the best things for me. Though not "fashionable" but if you have had back or leg issues these are the shoes for you. I just ordered another pair Saturday and they came today. I should have ordered both pairs since they are out of my size and color.

Best for motion control - For people with flat feet, Brooks Addiction and Beast are it. Other brands eg Asics can't compare.

Addiction Walker - This is my second pair of Addiction Walkers. I'm on my feet (concrete floor) for long periods of time and the Brooks Walkers keep me energized. After work, I find my back and legs don't hurt like they did with my "other shoes". I highly recommend the Brooks Addiction Walker.

I normally wear 7.5 size shoes but because these are for outdoor uses so I ordered them in size 8 and they were too long and too roomy. I immediately call the customer services and let them know I wished to exchange these for 7 1/2. The new shoes arrived at my front door the next day! They fit wonderful. I tried to walk with them on the carpet for about half an hour and my feet didn't complain. Good arch support. Very comfortable. I then went out for a 1/2 mile walk and my feet felt happy, very happy with it. I ordered it in purple and because with grey, these shoes are so good with blue jean and other colors too. They have nice look for informal wear. These shoes will be very COOL to walk during the hot summer months. For those who have flat feet and small heels might want to order these shoes half size smaller. These shoes are "roomy" from end to end, especially the heels. It fits my feet nicely because I have "round" feet. Zappos' services are SUPERIOR and is the BEST place to shop!

Comfort and Support - The shoe is true to size and support. When your lifestyle is a lot of walking on concrete floors, you need the shock support and comfort. This shoe is true to its size and support. I will continue to buy this product as this is my second pair. Buy in confidence.

Outstanding Customer Service... As Always! I am very pleased with the shoe(s), but what I want to emphasize is the Zappos customer service. I have been a customer for many years, and have always been happy. This time, through MY own fault, I ordered too late to receive the shoes before leaving town. The service rep, without hesitation, offered to upgrade me to next day delivery--the shoes, she said, would leave the next day and arrive a day after. BUT THE SHOES THEMSELVES ACTUALLY ARRIVED THE NEXT DAY! Kudos to Zappos!!
