Based upon all of the reviews I was expecting a great fitting shoe. It was not. First it is apparently not made for people with a high instep. I could barely get my feet into them without taking out the shoestrings. When I put the shoestrings back there was not enough length to tie the shoes. I ordered a wide, EE, size and they felt more like a D width. I also agree with the reviews that the tongue is too small. For the price and based upon the reviews I expected much more. Maybe these are more suitable for smaller feet. I will be going back to New Balance.

I purchased these shoes hoping to get more mileage out of them than I do from the running shoes that I usually walk in. They lasted only 3 months and the uppers began to separate from the soles. I just threw them away. After four months, the uppers were totally separated on both shoes. Very pool quality!! I am 5'9" and 150 pounds so it isn't like I am a huge person that might be harder on shoes than the average person. For the price, Brooks should provide a better quality shoe.

These shoes fit great! I have a narrow foot and have difficulty finding shoes that actually fit. The down side is that the sole is so slippery that they are extremely dangerous to wear on any surface that is damp or smooth. Absolutely deadly at the Vatican or any place where there is polished stone or marble or any moisture.

I thought this would be a great shoe for work in a restaurant, great support for on your feet all day. However, the soles are VERY SLIPPERY. Not at all good for the kitchen. Thank you for letting me return them.

The front black toe kicks came unglued on both shoes within three months, rendering them completely unwearable. I took them to a shoe repair shop and they said there was nothing they could do. I feel completely ripped off that they only lasted a couple of months under normal business wear.

I should have returned theses shoes. So uncomfortable, no cushioning at all. Don't know if I just got a bad pair since it gets such good reviews. Toes started to peel in front already. Brooks seems overrated. Had better Sketchers slot cheaper and more comfortable.

I was searching for everyday shoes to replace the Newbalance 900 series I had, because the sides seams, by my little toe, blew out on both feet. I call NB and they snubbed me. So I started researching the web & saw many approved of this Brooks Addiction Walker, and one guy always used this for his benchmark when he compared other shoes. Sooo I decided to give it a try. I searched all over stores to buy, but none found. Must buy on line, which I'm not a techy type person. Zappos helped me through the process over ph.(Thank You Z)I'm approx 6' and weight 289ish, & use these shoes every day for dress/and work. So far these have been very good to my feet,(which I'm fussy because I have a hard time finding the right shoes for my feet) & these have lasted,& still to this day, except for a 2-3 stitches coming apart on top at front point, on a seam. I asked Zappos if I could delay my feedback for a fair assessment, & they said, "yes". I had to reset my password because its been so long since, & I forgot. Any how it's about 1 year later +/- a few days, and I will definitely be ordering these again, when they wear out.BIG THANKS to BROOKS and ZAPPOS !

I'm done, I'm tired of driving 15 miles to return shoes. I'm tired of having to enter my password nine times and then some stupid captcha letters. Is your site that insecure? Back to shoes, I haven't bought shoes for 6 months and on Zappos probably longer but I'll tell you, the European measurement system is junk and the Chinese manufacturers are only making shoes for dwarfs. Order my size shoes, they're all too small, order wide widths, they're all too narrow. Go to a shoe store just to make sure my feet aren't swelling and I'm not losing my mind and I try on my size and a wide width and they fit so I don't know where Zappos is getting their shoes but no matter what brand I try they're all too small and I'm tired of my credit card getting whacked and unwhacked and then driving 15 miles to a UPS store... I'm done, why should anyone have to order shoes that aren't their size to get shoes that fit every time? You have great customer service for a reason and I think I found it.

I had a truly awful experience with these shoes. Clearly from the reviews not all people with plantar fasciitis have had this experience. I trusted the reviews and advice from other sites and replaced my worn casual Vionics with these. It was a terrible experience. I went into with pain and wore these shoes for weeks, with the pain no better and then worse. I never considered the shoes were the problem, but they were. I switched to the Vionics and the pain went down! I'll never buy these things again and am even going to write to Zappos and complain.

NOT SLIP RESISTANT!!! Do not buy if you work in a restaurant or wet environment. It was billed as slip resistant, but it is not!

I'm a soccer referee with big ol' wide feet. I gave up on trying to find reasonably priced cleats and figured I would try these. It was like running on a cloud, compared to my previous referee footwear. In addition, the shopping experience was unparalleled. I ordered on a Wednesday, they were delivered Thursday, I broke them in Friday and reffed a game Saturday. That was several months ago, and they still feel great. I am hooked!

Ordered these for my husband, based solely on the customer's ratings and the fact that they are white which is what he wanted. They are not white, they are a creamy beige with a giant bright white sole, which makes the shoes look like a heavy smoker wears them. These would probably be good for your 80 year old grandpa. Returning.

Wow. I wear an 11.5 wide. Sometimes that's a bit short and on a rare occasion I will go to a 12 wide. I have owned several pairs of NB that are comfortably loose at an 11.5W. These were like a 10. They were so small it was like having my feet in a vice. Wide they were not. Not even medium. The sole might have been wide, but this shoe has so much stuffing you'll be lucky to wedge your foot into it. The toe box literally had my toes so scrunched they were crossed! I knew it was horrendously ugly, but I will wear crocs so comfort a function always win for me. I'm not going to guess and buy 3 pairs to find a size and if they aren't any wider they will be a no go anyway.

Ordered these shoes many times but this time there was a manufacturing issue. One shoe had turned yellowy right out of the box.

RUNS VERY SMALL! I ordered this shoe in a size 13 N, however, it must be miss-marked, because it is very short ! My hubby ALWAYS wears a 13N, and have never had this fit. It is going back. Now, he's just planning on going to the local store and trying them on, because I swear by BROOKS, and know he'll love 'em, once we get the size correct ! I mean, 560 reviews were positive, so think these are a fluke. Also, the way they were laced up, we think they were returned previously... so ZAPPOS, take note. :-) Love yeah anyway. :-)

These shoes are made in China. I usually wear a 9 2e, so I ordered them and they were too narrow. I re-ordered the 9 4e which fit correctly. There is VERY LITTLE arch support and padding in the sole when compared to the older New Balance 927's, which unfortunately, they no longer make. There is only a VERY THIN foam insole and the sole...that's all! I added some Walgreens silicone rubber insoles which helped. For the cost, I expect a LOT more out of a shoe; I am disappointed in you, Zappos. I kept the shoes out of desperation, since the current New Balance 928's are even worse. The shoes are nice looking and the uppers appear to be made well, but they do not have the quality where it counts...in the sole! Can't anyone make a decent quality shoe anymore? Don't manufacturers "get it"?

I work in a building that is very large and can easily walk a couple miles a day just going back and forth. I researched this brand on their website bought these shoes hoping that they would offer better support and comfort than other brands. I am sorry that I did. They felt good and very comfortable initially but after wearing them for a few days I began to feel pain in my lower back, my knees and my ankles. I thought it was just me getting old but after thinking about it I realized the only thing that had changed in my routine was these shoes. I immediately stopped wearing them and it took almost a month before the pain went away. Unfortunately I cannot return them since I wore them so all I can do is chalk the cost up to a lesson learned. I don't even want to donate them because I don't want anyone else feeling the pain I felt. My advice: do NOT buy these shoes without the advice of a good foot doctor.

WATCH OUT! I bought my first pair and loved the fit. But when I started hiking I found the shoes to be slippery. Then it happened: Two days before my vacation my Brooks shoes went out from under me. I severely sprained my shoulder, cracked open my face, and peeled skin from my palm as I went down. Rescue had to take me to the E.R. It's been three weeks and my shoulder is still not fully mobile. This can be a dangerous shoe.

Bought these souly on the great reviews. I work on concrete, have painful feet. These shoes have a hard footbed that is very uncomfortable, there is virtually no arch support. They fit well and look good but thats about it. I can't believe guys are getting foot pain relief from these. I'm going to have to buy padded inserts with arch support for these to be useful to me.

Another example of a lowered quality. I have 3 pairs of these shoes. One in black, one brown, and this white pair. I wear the black or brown shoes to work most days and they have given me excellent service and comfort for over 3 years. I purchased a white pair in April 2013 expecting them to last several summers. I was wrong. After less than 2 months of weekend use the thread holding the upper sections together is failing, the white dye is coming off the toes, and the bottom tread is wearing away. All in all - this is my last pair of Brooks shoes.

I have been wearing the Addiction Walkers for a number of years. Lately, their shoes are running much smaller that the stated size. Regardless, I will change to another brand next time. A size 10 should be a size 10 and M width should be medium. Thought they might stretch out a little but no luck - I am stuck!

Although the shoes themselves are comfortable, they are not skid resistant shoes which they advertise to be so. Furthermore, the shoe laces are extremely short. Overall, I would look elsewhere since these are too pricy for what they offer.

I normally buy the Addiction runner shoe, and have been for many years. They fit perfect, no problems at all, I love them. I decided to try the Addiction walker and they are a complete disappointment. The don't fit the way the runner does, very uncomfortable, wish I could take them back but I can't. If you normally buy the runner, stick with them, don't go with the walker because they're made completely different. They suck!

I'm a UPS driver so I walk all day every day. So I bought these shoes thinking they would be good, but honestly I hate them. There not very soft. and I don't like the style of the flat bottom of the shoe. It's weird at first to get used to. Think I'll go back to my Asics. My favorite shoe.
