I ordered these in hopes that they would be the solution to my foot pain, I usually run wide with my sizes and with size 14 feet in usually guessing as to if any shoes I order are going to fit. I ordered the 4E width and was very hopeful when I opened the box, unfortunately they were not nearly wide enough, they were extremely tight on my feet, it looks like I'll have to go back to the old brand I was wearing that fit but don't give me the comfort I was hoping for, the shoes looks great out of the box as well, I was really pulling for them.

My big toe juts straight out. My feet do not come to a point. These shoes, even in the extra wide width, were too pointed. I tried a half size longer but that was too long.

Let me start off by saying I have been a Brooks fan for quite sometime now. I love the Brooks I currently own, the beats, but was greatly disappointed in the heel of this shoe. No matter how tight I had them, the heel would rub superbad, which would eventually cause multiple blisters on the heel of my foot. Consider the heel rub when ordering these shoes. That being said, Brooks has great arch support and the width is spot on. I will continue to buy Brooks, the beats, for as long as they make them.

I love these shoes and they have a great solid arch, but the front glued tab keeps ungluing and looks weird. I will need to look for better made shoes if they cannot glue things better.
I'd also recommend:
yes, but watch that front tab and retrun it if it comes unglued.

I liked the shoes at first. They fit fine. Not as much support as I expected. The shoe seemed to wear out quickly. Within two months it felt like the shoe had just lost all the support and cushion that it had. I will not buy this model again.

I bought the white leather sneaker and found the color to be more a beige or taupe than a white. There is a distinct difference between the white of the sole and the "white" of the leather. It looks terrible. Not to mention the shoe is extremely stiff. I put them on and sat at my desk and found after 30 minutes of sitting that my feet hurt from being so flat. I had such high hopes for these sneakers based on all the great reviews but I am disappointed.

This shoe is an enigma. It's at once one of the most comfortable sneaker I have ever worn and the most, by far, frustrating, in that, the sole wears out quite quickly and becomes dangerous to continue using. I have purchased four pairs in the past hoping that the designers would do something about the minuscule grip they design into the sole. If they ever come to grips with this aspect of their design I will plop my money down yet once again. Until then: No way. They wear out within three months of use.

I finally talked my husband into buying something other than NB. He liked this shoe, the only problem was the toe began coming unglued within a month. They look a lot like the NB but, personally we found NB lasts a little longer. You must know my husband is very hard on shoes; walking on concrete all day at his job He feels this shoe doesn't absorb the shock as well as NB; and wishes there was more padding. Other than that he was satisfied with this Brooks - walker shoe. I was not as satisfied with the look of this shoe.

The fit is good. I usually wear New Balance but wanted to try something different. These are good shoes but not as good as New Balance. These feel hard on the soles. They are also appear clunky, kind of an old guy look, and I am an old guy. I will keep them, but next time, I will probably go back to New Balance.

This version of the Addiction Walker is not as comfortable as the version I wore a couple of years ago. Even though it's a 4E width, the toe box feels narrower. The cushioning does not feel as soft as before either.

Disappointed. Will need to return. Shoe was 1/2 size small and too narrow. Everything I wear, including another pair of shoes I received with this order, is 11.5 B but these shoes are too short and narrow. Color is indicated as white but are actually a bone or off-white color.

I have been using these for two years. But they seemed to have changed the design slightly recently to reduce the arch support, my primary reason for buying them. So I guess I have to find a new shoe.

The color is not true. I ordered white; the soles of the shoes are white, but the leather lops are antique white; looks strange. The shoe width at the sole is good; however, the tops aren't as wide or as long as they should be. As a result the laces aren't long enough. I usually have to buy shorter laces for shoes, but I'll have to buy longer laces for these shoes.

I started buying these shoes (Brooks brand) a few years ago. The quality was good. They were like walking on a cloud. Soft and easy to break in. Over the years I resentfully had to return a pair. The stitching was coming undone on one she. They were replaced, but the replacement shoes aren't the same quality either. These shoes are like walking on a rock. Hard and uncomfortable. Thus I will not be ordering any more brooks brand shoes.

My podiatrist suggested walking shoes to help with my plantar fasciitis. I've see the NB walking shoes and they are pretty ugly. I have Brooks Trance 12s and like them so I tried the Brooks walking shoe. I don't think the Brooks look at ugly as the NB. The soles slip on wet surfaces as describes by other reviewers, not a problem for SoCal though. Overall I'm happy with them but can't wait till my feet are better and I can wear something more fashionable.

Review for 4E size. Good sizing and support. Quality issue: front of sole (toe guard) comes unglued quickly.

I waited a couple of months before writing this review so that I could be better in writing this. When I first tried them on, they were super comfortable and easy to walk around the house. I then took my dog for one of her twice daily mile and a half walks up and down hills and I could tell that the stock flimsy inserts needed to be replaced with ones that would truly support my arches. This worked well for about a month and a half when my left foot started hurting on the outside, so I stopped wearing them for a couple days before going back to wearing them again. The pain came back in a couple of days. I'm not sure where the problem is, but the problem doesn't exist using the same support in my Nike Air Monarchs. The Nikes only last me about 6 months because I weigh 230 pounds and I was hoping that the Brooks would have lasted longer. I am going back to buying Nike Air Monarchs.

These are not leather! I thought they were when I bought them. I did go back to the site after receiving them and it does show the black and white ones as leather, the brown shows "nubuck." It's not real obvious so I was not aware when I bought them. They make noise when walking, a flop flop sound like galoshes (remember those?). This is partly because they are long for a 9.5, partly because they are NOT leather. After a week of use, they showed marked wear in the toe flex area (again, it's glorified plastic). In all fairness, I will say they have alleviated my ball of foot pain I had with my rather expensive New Balance walkers. Arch support was not really there, but with orthotics, they are okay. I wouldn't buy the Brooks Addictions again, but I'll keep them for now.

Very comfortable shoe, good support. Its "motion control" works well for me. Sizing can be a challenge. Order 1/2 size larger than normal.

I generally like Brooks shoes; I have a pair for gym-going and I like them a lot. I had high hopes for this shoe, but immediately felt some discomfort just because they were so tight -- and I have narrowish feet. For stability they can't be beat, but even though they felt like they had good arch support, 10 minutes of walking in them and my arches were crying out in pain. They are being returned for another shot at a walking shoe. Not that I blame Zappos, or even Brooks. I think Brooks makes a good shoe, I just don't think this shoe was for me, for whatever reason.

Not nonslip. Dangerous if you rely on nonslip shoes. Slipping every shift. Fell once. Embarrassed that I spent this much. Very comfy.

These shoes run remarkably small, but are otherwise okay. I suggest ordering a full size larger than you usually wear. They are also very soft, and the resulting rubbing up and down when you walk will quickly wear holes in your socks.

They were great for about 2 months, then went flat and hard, cushioning and support gone, like walking on a hardwood floor. Tried to resurrect with new insoles to no avail. Too expensive for 2 months use. They still look like new.

They are fine. No shoe except Keens have an arch support that feels good and shoe laces are ever long enough, I use the same sizes I saw on the ones before, it fit. I never went to the store.
