I was so pleased with the comfort and fit. They are a bit heavier than I would have liked, but I did buy them for winter weather, so can deal with that.

began having foot problems and went to a speciality store for shoe inserts. They sold Brooks Addiction and I've always purchased them since, they are very stable to the ankle and foot, my inserts fits inside comfortably, so i continue using the same shoe, works well for me, and i can go casual with them also.

This shoe definitely dishes out some tough love; maybe the toughest. But after a lengthy break-in period, they're not bad. At least I feel that my feet and the rest of my body is being protected from injury. The arch extends just a tiny bit too far forward. They stay tied, which is nice. With no breathing holes they don't breathe, like most modern walking shoes, but there is adequate padding to adsorb your sweat and then you better use a shoe dryer overnight.They have a noticeable drop, which is not a problem. Better than the 928? Well, they're lighter. But, that SL-2 last is hard to beat. They certainly look better than the 928.

I've tried for many years to find a shoe as comfortable as the Brooks Addiction Walker (I bought the brown nubuck). These are a true lifesave for me. I've struggled with Plantar Fasciitis, and metatarsalgia, and have bought every shoe and sneaker imaginable. Although I feel as though my feet are still healing slowly, these shoes are the first shoe I've bought in many years that are giving me hope that I'll have my ability to get around again. They seem to run slightly narrow. I stretched them a bit.

I finally tried this shoe after reading so many reviews on it. I thought it was going to be the one for me with my problems of pronating and the need for excellent cushioning for my foot, especially my heel. Well, it was close. The support would of been there, but not the cushioning. My heel was killing me after 1/2 hour on carpeting. I took out the insole and the mid-sole material is hard as a rock. That was the culprit. No mid-sole cushioning what so ever. So, back they went. Good-bye Brooks. Now if you have a foot like Samson with tons of foot pad, you might like this shoe. If you want comfort and cushioning, don't buy them. Try them, you'll see!

I have purchased these for years. I prefer the Velcro, but they were out.

Very happy with these shoes for being on my feet all day at work. Not such a fashion statement, but I'll take that over sore feet and plantar faciitis which I have had several times over the years. I used to swear by Asics but have found that recently they seem to be running narrower and shorter, and just not supporting my feet after a few months. I read the reviews for this shoe and decided to try it. Have had them almost two months and still feeling good. My only complaint, which I did anticipate because of reviews, is that they do not breath well. At the end of the day the top surface of my feet would be itchy. I seem to have solved that problem by putting a little Gold Bond powder on the top of my feet before putting my socks on. I recommend these shoes for those who work on their feet all day long.

The nubuck leather quality has slipped a bit from previous years.

My first purchase from Zappos ever... Overall I have to say that I'm pleased with my purchase, albeit the first pair I ordered didn't fit. I dreaded the return process, but was pleasantly surprised when I found out how easy it was. The shoes were a little narrow, but a call to the store straightened that out in no time and I had my replacement before they received their return. The shoes fit comfortably and so far I have no complaints about support issues. And for me that's no easy feat :)

Felt a little short and definitely narrow. Sent them back to Zappos and will order nest size bigger and wider.

I have worn these shoes twice, each time for about 1/2 a day. They are comfortable so far. I was expecting a darker brown shoe with a different sole pattern. I would say I am happy with my purchase, just not overjoyed.

The Brooks fit great. I have thin feet and I have a hard time finding shoes that fit well.

I keep coming back to these walkers, this is the forth or fifth pair I've purchased. They are very comfortable for tired old feet, i wish they had more style to them.

I have some mild (somedays) to severe (somedays) arthritis in my big toes so I will do almost anything to find comfortable shoes. These shoes are comfortable and I will probably buy a second pair but it is beyond my thinking why the laces are at least 5" to short. They are 55" when they should be at least 60' to 63"

I did a lot of research on shoes that have good arch support and helps with pronation and stability,before deciding on these. I took the inner soles out first then inserted my orthotics and haven't had an issue. They feel good,and they look good. No wonder these have so many very good reviews. Time will tell how well they support my feet and my arthritic ankle.

I was looking for a comfortable shoe to wear at work. I had been wearing Brooks or New Balance running shoes and was getting terrible knee pain after standing for 8 hours a day. These shoes are SO much more comfortable for standing than the running shoes. They're kind of ugly (think industrial work shoes) and the heaviest shoes I've had in years. But the fit is great, and my knees are thanking me! ***These shoes are VERY slippery on wet floors***

My first Addiction walker was medium. This one is narrow and feels tight with a medium cotton sock. I'd like more info on care for neubuck

I like these shoes a lot. I bought my last pair in November 2018. My purchase was motivated by a $25 discount. As stated earlier I do like these shoes a lot. However, they're not perfect. They collect stones in the tread and the rubber tip that comes up the toe box is peeling off a little. Undesirable, but not critical shortcomings. I do think the price is too high. My last pair cost $95 with the aforementioned "coupon". That is a reasonable price for a shoe of this quality.

Solid look and feel. Flat and not very durable feeling. There were frayed sitching on the outside. Overall quality does not match price.

I usually order this size and it is fine for me. However, my normal shoe size is 11 and I always get these in 12. I think this is the eighth or ninth pair I have purchased. Only issue is that I know it is time to get a new pair when the very tip of the toe begins to come unglued

I have been wearing Brooks Addiction walker a few years. It's a nice shoe and is the best walker I've found to accommodate serious hammertoes and other problems resulting from neuropathy in my feet. I wear 12 4E due to my foot problems which require an extra wide, tall toe box. Toe box works reasonably well, but there's some pressure from contact at top of toes in my worst problem spots. I wish Brooks would make the toe box a little taller and a little wider. My custom orthotics easily fit into and out of this shoe.

I read other reviews saying to order up a size but I ordered my normal size and they fit perfectly. I wear my orthotics in them with no problems. They are not spongy/cushy like running shoes but are very supportive and comfortable. My only issue is that the lacing on the right shoe causes some pressure on the top on my foot because the lacing goes so far back. It doesn't matter how loose I keep them. Not a big deal, I just don't use the last holes for lacing on my right foot and it's fine. The only thing they could do to make this shoe better would be to make it a bit more stylish. They look like old people shoes. Even if you are older, you would still rather not have to dress like it in order to be comfortable.

Overall very good; however, I believe they run a little small--size and width both.

I ordered these shoes for my husband because he suffers from Plantar Fasciitis and this was recommended for that issue. He hated the look of them on sight, so I knew we wouldn’t be keeping them. But, because he had never worn Brooks shoes before I had him try them on for size. He normally wears a size 12 medium shoe and this shoe was about a half size too small. I subsequently ordered him a pair of Brooks GTS 19 running shoes in 12.5 medium and he loves them.
