I went to look at the reviews for these shoes and I did a lot of review searching. All I can say is that Zappos is the best place to buy shoes and these Books & Addiction Walkers are everything they claim to be. They are comfortable and well built. I can use them for office work or just out to walk. I'm a male about 230 lbs and have flat feet so I need a well made shoe and these do the job.

I have flat feet & wear these at work. I'm on my feet a lot both standing & walking. These shoes are very comfortable & provide necessary stability. Also they are durable & are very resistant to rain & cold. Great shoe for walking or casual work environment.

This shoe was a present for my son who has problems with his feet. The fit is good & it helps to keep his feet pain free. It looks great, too.

Great shoes. I have really bad feet, they hurt all the time, plus the plantar fasciitis, inflammation in my left heel, and with added insoles, my feet feel great. The fit was the right size. But best of all was the quick response from Zappos. I got my shoes the next day, at a time when my feet were really hurting, because I went too long without seeking help. Thanks Zappos personnel.

This is my second pair of Brooks Addiction Walker shoes and I will likely buy two more pair. I have narrow feet (mens 11A) and have a very difficult time finding shoes that fit. This Brooks, in a Narrow width, is actually an A width. Most other mens shoes marked Narrow are usually B or C width. The only shoes of this type by Brooks, in a Narrow, come in brown nubuck or black leather and I have one pair of each. I have never had a fit this good in a shoe that sells for under $250. I wear them for casual or sport wear, they are good for work (on a tile and cement floor) and their tread, support, and water resistance make them good as golf shoes. They are made in China to specifications of Brooks Shoes in the United States and are consistent in their sizing and lasts. I contacted a Brooks Representative to inquire about other colors or styles in a Narrow, similar to this shoe, and was told that the two colors in this model is it in a Narrow. There is just not enough demand to warrant the minimum order for Narrow widths in each style and size of shoe. Try them, I'm confident you will like them. Zappos is a great company to deal with, but you might shop around online for discounts on this particular shoe.

Bought these for my Dad after spending a full day going from shoe store to shoe store. He has a very hard time finding shoes that are comfortable. I ordered several from Zappos and these were the only ones that worked for him. He loves them and wears them everywhere. I should probably order him another pair.

I bought this shoe after the second pair of soft spots cracked the sole after little use. I find these shoes to be made of better materials. They are more stable on the foot and more comfortable to wear. They are much better looking.

I'm a woman with bunions and have had difficulty finding woman's shoes that were wide enough to be comfortable. I've been wearing this shoe for about a month and it has helped reduce my foot pain. It is true to size and width. It is very comfortable and provides good traction and stability. This is an excellent shoe.

These shoes have the stiffness features recommended by my podiatrist. They are also comfortably wide enough for my foot. They don't crowd my foot and are easy to clean. I own both the lace up and velcro models. I prefer the lace up, but I like the velcro better than I ever thought I could like a velcro shoe. They meet the dress code for my work as a nurse being essentially all white.

These are very comfortable shoes. I recommend you order at least 1/2 size larger. Thanks for the excellent service.

Wear orthotics and have a hammer toe so some brands cause foot pain. These, however, are comfortable out of the box without a break in.

I like these shoes very much. The price was decent (Zappos had them on sale), and the fit and feel are both great. Unfortunately, I know they will last only about 6 months before I will need to replace them. How do I know that? These are my third pair in this style. Still, they offer great stability and a nice firm ankle support, and I have not found a better shoe anywhere else.

I had a 10 in this shoe last time and went to an 11 this time

This is my 4th pair of Brooks Addiction walkers. Even though I ordered the 4W width these shoes seem slightly narrower than the previous pairs. They are well made with a soft leather that should wear and break in well. One annoying thing with these shoes is that the laces are too short for the shoes. The laces are so short I can barely tie them. They need to be 4-6 inches longer. Apparently, Brooks uses a one-size-fits-all for laces on each style of shoe. The laces will work quite well for D width shoes, but the same laces just don't work on 4E widths. It's a shame to have to immediately buy new laces in order to wear new shoes.

Hard for me to find a very wide shoe that is comfortable, but these are! Good arch support! The leather doesn't quite look like the picture, but it's not a deal breaker with my 10% military discount.......

I bought the Brooks Addiction Walker, narrow width, as an around town shoe for the winter. I have a very narrow heel, and the shoe fits me well. Brooks narrow shoes are possibly the only shoes on the market with a narrow heel and a relatively wider toe compartment. Perfect for me, since you can always lace up a shoe's toe, but not the heel. This shoe is stiffer than a running shoe and doesn't hug your feet as well. If I wanted a shoe for fair weather walking, I would simply get a B-width Brooks Adrenaline running shoe. On the other, I'm looking forward to a winter without cold, wet feet. Size - shoe is either true to size or possibly a little larger. Complaints - lacing is difficult. I wish the eyelets were lined with plastic so the laces didn't have so much friction.

I have a problem foot - too wide at the ankle to fit the shoe

I believe these are great shoes for someone with good feet but unfortunately I have terrible flat feet. The doctor made me some custom orthotics this past June and I have been having a awful time trying to find a pair of shoes that will accommodate them and not feel like I'm walking on a block of wood in my shoes. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks JD

This was my thiird pair of Brooks Addiction Walkers which I wear daily. They are extremely comfortable, but run about 1/2 size small. The sole tends to retain dirt (mud) that ends up being tracked indoors.

I've been purchasing these same shoes for daily use, including walking, for many years, over and over. I have not found shoes that fit my foot better or were more comfortable. If there is anything I can say negative, it is only that the material that the shoelaces are made of tend to loosen and I have to stop and tie the shoelaces over time while wearing them throughout the day as they tend to come loose somewhat. Otherwise great shoe and value.
