I have used these as "tennis" shoes for several years. The extra cushion is greater than in any other existing tennis shoe - which is valued by my knee joints. The semi-square edges do not present any problem on clay or hard courts.

My foot doctor recommended these shoes to me after a case of plantar fasciitis. She also recommended that the insoles be replaces with "Smart Feet" higher grade insoles, so I sized the shoes accordingly since you need a little more room to accommodate the higher grade insoles. These shoes give excellent support, are extremely comfortable, and can be worn at the office.

The Brooks Addiction Walker shoe is the best pair of walkers I have ever purchased. Would highly recommend and would purchase again.

The Addiction Walker is the only shoe I can wear that doesn't cause a lot of foot pain. I had sesamoid surgery 2 years ago and highly recommend this shoe.

These shoes are great but the insoles are horrible. I buy a Dr. Sholl's insole for large people and throw the one that comes with the shoes away. When I do this the fit and comfort are great.

These are the most comfortable shoes, athletic or not, that I've ever worn. I wear these for work as they are nice looking and appropriate for a casual working environment. I liked them so much I bought a black pair as well. I never write reviews like this, but felt compelled to do so here. They were worth every penny of their price.

I work 12-14 hour shifts as a nurse and spend most of it on my feet. These sneakers have always kept me comfortable, grips well on slick/ wet surfaces and quiet. Additionally I have almost flat soles, pronating feet and plantar fasciitis. For years I've tried other sneakers and these, by far, are the best. I have bought these sneakers over three times now and have no plans to change. The quality is excellent and the price is great when compared to other high end supportive walking shoes!

I have an A width foot so finding good fitting shoes is nearly impossible. This is the best fitting B width shoe I have ever encountered. Better standard arch support than comparable New Balance shoes I have worn. My feet have stopped hurting since I started wearing this shoe on my 4 mile walks. I will purchase this shoe again.

My husband LOVES these shoes. They come in extra wide sizes which are hard to find. We have to have an inch added to the left shoe and our cobbler can work easily with this style.

I bought a pair of these shoes over 2 years ago for my now 12-year-old son who has severe overpronation. He loved them and wore them for 18 months almost daily. The shoes and the tread stand up to heavy wear and are worth the extra cost. It also provided the extra support he needs to keep from rolling his ankles when running/hiking/playing. I liked them so much that when my son outgrew his original pair, I bought him a new pair this summer. I am sold on Brooks quality!

My husband got these to wear to school all day. He teaches middle school and is on his feet a lot. These have the comfort of tennis shoes, but look just a little bit dressier.

This is my second pair. The first pair finally needed to be replaced after hard usage. The second pair is of the same high quality I found in my first pair. A very fine shore for walking purposes.

I have ordered my Brooks Addiction shoes from Zappos for about two years. and they were a great fit!

My teenage son works at a grocery store. His cheap black tennis shoes needed replacing, but the selection locally was disappointing. We ordered 2 pair from Zappos that he chose, then I selected the Addiction, too. The first 2 pair were uncomfortable. He slid on the Addictions and walked off! He has been wearing them for a month for up to 8 hours at a time and his feet feel great! Well worth the price! I wear the ladies version, so I know that they are well-made and don't wear out prematurely.

I was looking for a shoe with plenty of toe room, and these fit the bill. They look good, and are very comfortable.

My second pair. These shoes are comfortable, durable, well constructed and stable. These shoes allow me to stay on my feet for long periods of time without pain. They are worth every penny spent.

Shoe was a half size off, but when I received the larger size, it was an excellent shoe! Customer service at Zappos was more than excellent. Good place to buy; great shoe.

I normally buy New Balance athletic shoes but after receiving some mocking from my wife and daughter about wearing "Dad Shoes", I looked around and found these. I ordered the same size as I would with New Balance and these fit the same. They are comfortable and look good. Very little breaking in required.

Great walking shoe. Very stable limited flex rocker style sole which is great for those with arthritis in toes, good arch support. Surprisingly good for heel impact, almost like walking on air. Best shoe of it's kind I have found so far. Others I have tried include Nike Air Max and Monarch, both too flexible for my foot issues.

This is my fourth pair of Brooks Walkers, the last two pairs did not have a true width and ran narrow. I wish they could get this corrected.

I am on my feet for 9 hours a day at an auto processing plant in Philadelphia. I need and found the right shoes with Brooks. It is very comfortable with great cushion for someone walking and standing all day. Order a extra size more, I normally wear a 11 1/2, but after reading several reviews who said "go one size larger", I am glad I did. Worth the price and one can not beat the free Zappos shipping!

Walking on air! That's the way I feel in these beauties. They are great for those who need a big toe box, and for bunion sufferers, the soft nubuck leather caresses the sore spot with no pain. My test for walking shoes is after a hard day on the trail, you don't bother taking them off. That's comfort. They DO slip on wet hard floor such as tile, so I do not recommend them for work shoes for people who are on such surfaces. Their made for the trail but stylish enough to be worn in town. My only other criticism is the light weight laces don't pull through the eyelets easily, making loosening and tightening a bit of a hassle. Easy solution, replace with a pair of light weight boot laces such as Kiwi (heavy boot laces too thick for these eyelets. A+++ 6 stars for comfort.

I am middle aged and have right ankle issues. As a result I am always on the lookout for a shoe that gives me superior arch support and good all-around comfort. This shoe is a winner and I would recommend it highly to anyone.

I'm on my feet all day. As the years have gone by, my feet pain has spread up to my knees and hurts 24/7. I finally let go of the money for these Brooks Addiction Walkers and my legs and feet feel so much better. I've had them a month now. No sign of wear at all and they're still very comfortable. I ordered the first pair too small, sent 'em back, and one day after Zappos got 'em I had 'em back! Talk about no hassle! Thanks Zappos!

My husband is very happy with the service that we have recieved. The shoes are very comfortable and hold up well. He has flat feet and rolls in.
