I have terrible feet which doctors want to surgically fix which has up to 6 months of recovery. I have been able to fend off the terrible surgery using Brooks Addiction Walkers combined with custom orthotics.

I ruptured my plantar fascia tendon a while back so I needed a shoe that was truly supportive and would keep me comfortable at my work. These are fantastic. you can feel that they mold your foot really well. The padding around your ankle is not too thick and comfortable. And the insert in it is okay but you might want to invest in other ones. They are, however, terrible on wet floor or tile. could not be worse than any other shoe and if you are going to even jug or do some running then these are uncomfortable. but if you are having dry floors and want something that keeps your feet nice and comfy then these are fantastic.

My Brothers & Sisters, I have been on a long & arduous journey to find a pair of shoes that I can simply walk comfortably in. I have had spinal surgery & a hip resurfacing & it has been difficult for me to feel comfortable again. I'm 49 years old & I've got a lot left to do so I haven't stopped searching for a pair of shoes that will help me get there. I've been wearing New Balance 956, which have been just okay. I kept going back to my Brooks Adrenaline Running Shoes & kept hoping they had a Trail Shoe I could wear in the winter that comes in a EE. They don't, but I came across these & gave them a try as the reviews seemed outstanding. Wow is all I can say. It was love at the first step. I am an over pronator with flatfeet so this seemed perfect for me. I tried The Beast by Brooks but they were a little too much motion control for me. These are the most perfect pair of shoes I have worn in years! I am walking around smiling in disbelief. I had begun to give up hope & think nothing was going to really work for me. Professionally made orthotics even made me worse. I am in heaven with these. I bought the brown which are pretty cool looking actually. I'm going to beat them up a bit in the snowy weather & they'll look like solid hiking shoes in no time. I will be buying the black pair next month. Without being melodramatic, these shoes are truly life changing for me. And God Bless you Zappos for dealing with all the returns from me. Hands down - this is the most comfortable and functional walking shoe I have tried. It's well built, has great stability and promotes good walking form.

I wear a size 13 4E-6E and have tried various brands with the 6E width and found over the last few years, the only shoe that delivers on fit, strong construction and comfort consistently, is the Brooks Addiction Walker-13 4E.

These shoes are comfortable and true to size. They truly prevent pronation of foot. I have used these in the garden as well as for casual dress. They hold up to anything.

I purchased this shoe to help with discomfort from excess pronation. After 4 months I can give a positive review. The shoe has held up well, and helped resolve pain in my left foot due to excess pronation. In addition to the foot, there has been a seeming improvement in that knee. Other brands of shoe have worn fairly quickly due to the concentration of pressure in one area, but these are still going strong. I took a day hike over very rocky terrain and they held up well. They have been water resistant and not leaked. OK in the light rain. The shoes could be wider for my foot, which is 4E. The Rockport oxford (World Tour) fits better in terms of width and length, but does not offer help for my pronation and wears quickly. I am leaving this review on the occasion of purchasing a second pair, even though the original pair has not worn out yet.

Very pleased. Good arch support and the width is great, no more ingrown toenails. Not a snow shoe though was slippery in the ice and snow. Nice looking shoe.

These shoes are available in 4E which is great for accommodating my large orthotics and the inside are built to reduce over-pronation. These shoes are helping me do more walking and standing than I have been able to do for years.

My husband has neuropathy in his feet and that's why I bought these shoes. I had heard good things about them. He loves them! I will buy another pair soon.

Upon advice of my physical therapist, I purchased a pair of these shoes. In my many years (60+) of buying shoes, I have never before decided to wear the new shoes out of the shoe store because they felt great. I have purchased an additional 5 pairs from Zappos. I have noticed that although the shoes are of the same, high quality, two of the 5 pairs that I have subsequently purchased were slightly narrower in width fit than the others. A shoe stretcher corrected the tightness in a matter of hours. As others have mentioned, be careful with these walking on slippery floor surfaces! (true for most composite-soled shoes) I would not hesitate to recommend this particular model to anyone who does lots of walking or standing.

This is a marvelous, well-cushioned, and stable walking shoe. Zappos service is outstanding. With free shipping, it took like 4 days to receive.

I've worn New Balance, Rockport, and Doc Martens, but after wearing these ever day for two weeks, I can say they're the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I needed a stylish but comfortable shoe to wear to work (business casual), and these shoes fit the bill perfectly. I normally wear a 2E, but the 2E in this shoe was too narrow, but the 4E fit perfectly.

This is the best shoe for support that I've ever had, and it passes my wife's appearance standards too. Pleased that it comes in more than a single color. First pair was borderline tight in the outer forefoot but I use an 1/8" stiff foam insert. Bottom line is that the shoes were still comfortable for high mileage walking right out of the box; no blisters. Bought the second pair 1/2 size larger than my nominal shoe size and it walks just as well.

I called up Zappos for some help with my feet! I had issues with my feet rolling outwards as my shoes became more worn. They recommended this shoe and it has been wonderful! I have had it for roughly a month and it provides great support and comfort.

Bought these shoes for my husband for walking and to use with dressier clothes. Both objectives were achieved. He loves them and says they are very comfortable for walking both short and long distances. Would recommend purchaseing them.

These shoes are great! I don't understand how someone can give these shoes less then 4 stars because the of the price (nice if they were less) but worth the price I paid with coupon code. Put it this way I look forward to putting these shoes on. I love the way my feet feel with them on. Right out of the box I knew I was going to like them. Now 2 months later and they are still feeling and looking great. I highly recommend these shoes.

All sneaker companies used to make plain black walking shoes. Now very few do. I got these almost by default but I am very happy with the purchase. They are extremely comfortable, and give great support for a low-cut shoe. They are unobtrusive enough for use even with dressy clothes.

I have been wearing Brooks Addiction Walkers for at least 5 years and won't wear anything else. They're the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I always keep at least two pair in two different colors because they're not only good for casual but I also get away with wearing the black pair for dress too.

I already knew that I wanted this shoe and that it would perform. But this was my first time dealing with Zappos, and I'm very pleased. I'll buy from them again!

This are probably the best pair of shoes I've ever owned in my life. I've had this pair for well over a year and a half now and they are wearing very well. I'm nowhere close to thinking about replacing them. They are also very comfortable for my feet. It's been a long time since I have had shoes that didn't give me trouble with my arches. I ordered my shoe size and they fit my feet perfectly (8.5, 4E). Whenever this pair finally gets worn out (at this rate it won't be for some time still), I'll definitely be buying these again.

This is amazing! Finally I found something that doesn't hurt my feet. This shoes are so comfortable and well thought out, that I'd pay twice as much if I had to.
