I don't think there is a better walking shoe. I have tried many brands over the decades. This shoe is instantly comfortable and lasts a long time. Even after days of walking over cobblestones and uneven pavement the brooks addiction walkers stayed fresh.

Great shoes; great comfort and support. I walk a mile each day to work across city sidewalks. These shoes make that trip feel like I am almost walking on air. Even my knees feel better.

I learned about over pronating from this site - I have it and it was causing ankle pains on hiking. These shoes are very comfortable right out of the box, and they solved the problem. They do run a bit short, and as usual, my notification of the size problem was followed one day later by receiving the correct size from Zappos! Finding shoes in narrow sizes that take orthotics is hard enough, but these are really good, and they are on this site.

This is my second pair of these very comfortable shoes. I ordered the EE width because I like a loosely fitting shoe. Obviously, I highly recommend these shoes.

Comfortable. Walked hours first day. Shoes great, no sore spots. Great fit. Recommend.

I have bought this shoe for many years and loved them I have 5 pair now, and the ones that are worn out are better than the new ones I just purchased. Brooks quality has really gone down hill in the last year. I would not recommend this shoe any longer.

This shoe holds up very well. My husband is a sailor and is hard on shoes. This model lasts under heavy use.

While walking with my wife she was shocked to see how much I overpronated when walking (foot flattening or rolling in). I did a search for "best walking shoes for overpronation" and found a great article recommending several brands. After checking them all out on Zappos, I decided on the Brooks Addiction Walker. I couldn't be more pleased. They are very comfortable, and my wife is amazed at how normal my gait is now. I just ordered 2 more pair and will now have all 3 colors.

5' 11", about 260lbs, slight overpronate. Bought these for standing long hours at work, needed all black shoe. First I bought 10 1/2 regular which felt pretty snug and the back lip felt like it didn't reach up high enough over my heel. Went with the wider EE 10 1/2 and this feels just right, back feels like it reaches up over heel a bit better as well. They are comfortable for a heavy guy like me. Would be nice if they breathed a bit better but then they wouldn't look very work-like I suppose. Will probably add a thing insert like superfeet black to make them even better? Right now my job is actually sitting though so can't comment on standing for hours but I feel they will be good as they are solid with thick rubber soles.

Zappos is the best. I bought the wrong shoe size twice! They took them back both times. I finaly got it right and these are great.

Sneaker quality is so dynamic, even name brands. Your favorite brand changes manufacturing and "boom" it no longer works. Finally after searching other ill fitting brands. Excellent fit. They are so comfortable and extremely supporting. I can't find anything wrong with them, thank goodness.

Bought a pair of brooks addiction shoes. Zappos was easy to order through and shoes came very nicely packaged. Shoes were in excellent condition and exactly as described. Shipping was exactly as promised with updated email about tracking. Would use zappos again without hesitation.

Originally bought this model at my orthopedic Dr.s' office. Well cushioned, firm sole, resistant to rolling over on the sides. Helps me all day long. Wish it came with some better style/color.

Nice pair of walking shoes. I've had mine for about one month and they are holding up quite nicely. I walk an average of six miles per day, and before these, a pair of shoes wasn't lasting more than a month or so. These still look basically new and they are very comfortable. I use a Superfeet insert and I have all the support and comfort I need. I do agree with a previous reviewer who said they look like nurse shoes. I plan to buy the brown ones next time.

I really wrestled with whether or not to try these. I've been wearing SAS walkers for several years, having gone through 2 pairs. Would have ended up with a third pair but they are never on sale and run close to $200. Was looking to see if I could save some money. Well after wearing these daily for 2 months I can say I am 100% satisfied. They are at least as comfortable in every way as the SAS shoes, maybe even a bit better. Very, very pleased.

My husband has a narrow foot and finding shoes has always been a challenge. Ordered narrow width. Perfect fit. perfect comfort... perfect support. He's on the run a lot... says they feel like he has no shoes on at all. Looks great on his foot, too. A winner!

Good shoe, seemingly well made and attractive, but the best part is that they fit! I have a long, narrow foot and the Brooks 12 1/2 B is very comfortable. A plus - the insole comes out allowing me to use an orthotic.

This is an exceptionally comfortable shoe -- I am on my feet all day, and this is as good as I have found. In fact, I will be ordering more!

This is my husband's second pair of Brooks Addiction Walkers. He really loves these shoes. It offers good support, long wear and good style. I'm sure he'll purchase another pair when these wear out.

At 74, I wanted a shoe that would give me the comfort of a sneaker and the look of a dress shoe. And this Brooks Addiction score high on both counts. Most comfortable shoes I own and easily go with anything but a suit and tie. I like them so much I got a white pair too! (They do look more like a sneaker.) Delivery was fast and free. Fit was right on.

Hard to find a shoe in narrow for men. This shoe is very comfortable and fits perfect. Good arch support. I recommend it to every guy.

These shoes are extremely comfortable, sturdy and good-looking. They are notably more expensive than any shoes I bought before, but you get get what you pay for.

I love these shoes, and have bought several pairs. I wear them every day after having knee, hip and ankle surgeries. They are my "go to shoe" for all occasions. Yes, I wear them to church!

I was most impressed with these shoes. I walk 4-6 miles daily and needed a comfortable and supportive shoe, this shoe certainly fits the bill. You could wear these shoes all day. I have a high arch but these were a comfortable and stable shoe. As a New Balance fan, these are now definitely part of my exercise choice!! If you are a "D" width go to a "EE" size.

I buy my shoes mostly for comfort, as I have been standing up all day for the last 46 years as a waiter and then a barber. Merrells have been my shoe of choice, with Born close behind, but Brooks just got themselves on the list. These were comfortable right from the start even though I have some pretty beat-up feet. It took a little while for my back to get used to them simply because they allow me to stand correctly and any change is an adjustment. Once I feathered them into my shoe line up, I have been wearing them pretty much exclusively at work. Great shoe.
