This is the third pair of Brooks "Addiction" walkers that I have purchased. The first pair was at the recommendation of my orthopedist. They are very comfortable and keep my knees in line (and not bent inward). They are great for my feet which have been beat up due to excessive activity in sports. I have two large dogs that like to walk for miles and the shoes are comfortable from beginning to end. No break in time - just put on and go.

I have big wide feet and many times I find shoes 13 4E but they are more 13 D. I have no idea whose feet they use for models but it has been ridiculous how many brands I have tried. With the Brooks Addiction Walker - the fit was perfect. Just like they used my foot as a model. It has some arch support but you may find an extra arch support helpful.

I liked the quick service. The shoes fit with no problem. They appear to be unusual in that the insole is very flat, without the pronounced arch that most newer walking shoes have, but its a very comfortable insole nevertheless. Like wearing a pair of slippers. The large thick outer sole is excellent for walking, with a very slightly rounded bottom rocker, front to back, that is. Excellent for casual walking around the neighborhood, and the shoes are never uncomfortable, even after a full day's use followed by a walk after work. The feel very sturdy and give me a sense of security when walking on broken pavement or ground, and up and down public stairs. Plus, laces stay tied all day long, without having to double-knot the tie off. That's a real plus for me. I have gotten unexpected compliments on the appearance and the tanned outer leather. A good buy, and my first from Zappos.

My husband has horrible feet. Very few shoes work for him. We are ecstatic over finding the Brooks Addiction Walker because even with the orthotics that mess up the fit of almost all shoes for him, Brooks can handle it. Since I am the research person for my husband's weird feet, I am the one writing this review. New Balance used to work for him but now no longer fits well. Brooks is truly a godsend.

Love this shoe. Really, really comfortable and stylish. I've worn them w/jeans and with shirt and tie sport coat things. Brooks Addiction series really fit me well. My general shoe is the Addiction 10 sneaker.

I have badly pronating ankles and this is the most comfortable shoe that I have found as an adult. They look good and wear well. I am on my second pair and will go back to Brooks for my future casual shoe needs.

Bought these for my husband since I had such good luck with mine, especially since we both wear custom-made orthotics in our shoes. They have great support and are lightweight and great for walking.

I have worm Brooks Addiction Walkers for years. About every 1 to 2 years I buy another pair and the great part is they are the same. Same great fit, same quality. Not like other shoe companies. If you want the most comfortable walking shoe ever, buy these. I have for the past 12 years. Awesome shoe!

This is the fifth time in four years my husband asked me to order these shoes. He walks a lot and before finding these shoes, he had been having trouble with foot pain. After trying many other brands, he has stayed with these and loves them. He needs EE and the shoes are always true to size. He says they are comfortable from the moment he puts them on.

I have a very difficult foot to fit (small & wide) and these shoes are the best I've ever found. Unlike many other wide shoes, they don't slip and the toe box is adequately wide. I walk 3-4 miles a day and they are extremely comfortable.

I have had over a dozen pairs of Brooks Addiction walkers over the last several years. They are the only shoes that I can comfortably wear all day for walking and other activities. I have narrow feet and they supply great support. They have gotten a more expensive recently, but, all in all, they are worth it. I agree with other review comments; they can be very slippery when wet.

I recently purchased my second pair of "Brooks Addiction Walker" shoes. I have a narrow heel and these shoes fit my long and narrow foot perfectly as the toe box isn't too narrow. I feel like a police woman in them so not thrilled with the style but they are comfortable and I wear them around home. I tend to have ankle problems since I pronate and wear custom orthotics and they fit perfectly in these shoes. My only complaint are the shoestrings. I need new shoestrings in my old pair of shoes and can't find that length in stores for it is an oddball length; approximately 51". The shoestrings haven't lasted as long as they do in my other sports shoes.

I am an over-pronator, and my feet love these Brooks Addiction Walkers!! These shoes provide much needed stability and arch support. I would recommend these to anyone with flat feet. I am a Brooks customer for life.

I love these shoes! I am on my feet 10- 12 hours a day in a retail store. Highly recommended.

I know foot problems. I've had surgery on both feet to correct lifelong pronation. Finding comfortable shoes has always been a challenge. I find the Brooks Addiction Walker to be an accurate fit and comfortable to wear. Good padding and support … and not bad looking. At a time when many shoe brands curiously are making poorer quality shoes, Brooks seems to hold a standard of quality.

A typically superior Brooks shoe. Neutral beyond the built in compensation, and comfortable for day-long wear. Very light for a substantial shoe.

An absolutely great walking shoe for anyone with foot problems. The toe box is wide and deep to accommodate hammer toes. The Addiction is very comfortable. I wear mine comfortably 18 hours a day.

I really like these shoes. Just received my second pair from Zappos. I need one at work for when I bike in. I have plantar fasciitis, and these shoes are helping my foot recover. I remove the insole that comes with it and add my own insole (superfeet blue) and a Dr. Scholls gel heel cushion. On wet tile (in the metro), they are slippery though. I have narrow feet, and like the narrow width.

I am a diabetic and have profound neuropathy in my feet. I cannot tolerate to wear most of the shoes that I own for more than ten minutes at a time. The Brooks Addiction Walker meets the challenges presented with a diabetic who cannot risk even a blister from a seam or poorly made toe box. Thanks to Brooks and Zappos for quality and service. I am getting ready to order my fourth pair after trying a Propet Walker with good results but not what I have experienced with Brooks shoes.

The Brooks addiction walker is clearly the most comfortable shoe I've ever owned. Normally, in the evening I take my shoes off. With these shoes, I often leave them on!

Bought this in brown for my husband first then in black. He is a pharmacist and on his feet all day. He has flat feet and his other shoes were giving him a lot of foot problems. Solved with Brooks Addiction!

I had my feet measured as a size 14 B, so that is what I ordered. These are the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever owned. The outsole is very stiff, and the structured insole causes pain on the periphery of my feet. I keep loosening the laces, but it makes no real difference. I am a nurse and need comfortable shoes, these are a failure.

Fits right; comfortable; usual wonderful Zappos service. I'm a big dude at 77 in tall and 270 lbs with a size 15 foot. Zappos has a bunch of shoes in my size with motion control or stability features (which I need). And the quick free shipping both ways lets me try a few pairs and choose the best. Thanks, Zappos.

I got this style in white and black for my dad and he loves them both. It's all he wears now (even with suits) there's a lot of support and the extra width is perfect!
