Ordered these for my husband who wants comfort above everything else. He says they are top quality. For him, the arch is too low. Otherwise, highly recommends.

Simply put, I have crummy feet. The Brooks Addiction Walker gives me the most comfort for the longest period of time.

Zappos provides the best service and on time delivery. Pricing is always fair and less than a high end specialty store. I had them specially fitted at a specialty store the first time and now I can order the right size at a great savings. Thanks.

I have always liked Brooks since a doctor recommended then in HS after a knee injury. I previously only used them for running and this is my first pair for walking and light working out. I really enjoy the fit, comfort, and support. The shoes provide a smooth transition from heel to toe when walking and provide a stable feel when working out and doing aerobics. Great shoe and I will more than likely stick with these if they hold up.

Without question, the most comfortable every day/slightly dressy shoes I've ever owned. The insole seems molded to my foot, as if it was custom-made. The flatness of the sole adds to the comfort level - and they've managed to make it look cool.

I have worn this shoe for years and always liked them. However the last two pair I purchased were nothing at all like I had before. The sole is thinner and it feels like you are walking in 2 steel rods.

I bought a pair based on the reviews here and was a bit skeptical at the price tag. These are the most comfortable shoes that I ever had. I had Rockports before but the arch support (I have flat feet) is superior to the Rockports. The people at Brooks know what they are doing. I walk about six miles a day and could not be any happier with this product.

Good Fit, Good Feel. I wear these all the time. Wish I could get the same comfort in a dressier shoe.

I finally broke down and spent the extra money for these shoes, and I'm very happy with them. These shoes were comfortable from day one. All the reviews helped me decide, although I chanced it and ordered mine to size. The fit was right on. I'm very happy with Zappos.

I have a narrow foot. I have a hard time finding shoes that fit well. These Brooks fit beautifully the first time I put them on. No breaking in. I will definitely buy more as I need them. The only problem is they have mostly athletic shoes. Not enough other styles for other uses.

I have been wearing the Brooks Addiction Walkers for several years as a result of a recommendation by my Podiatrist. I bought black and white to augment the brown shoes I usually wear.

My husband has been wearing this shoe for several years. I just ordered his 4th (5th?) pair. Supportive, yet soft and comfortable. We alternate between the black smooth leather and brown nubuck. Wish there was a brown smooth leather.

I cannot say enough good things about Zappos or the Brooks Addiction walking shoes. The shoes fit well, are comfortable, and hold up under lots of use.

I bought these for my husband who says they are the best shoes he's had for all day walking on hard surfaces. They have great arch support and are true to size.

Zappos has wonderful service as always. The Brooks Addiction walker is absolutely the most comfortable walking shoe I have worn. This is my second pair and the only problem with the first one is I am a severe overpronator and the right outside back of heel is worn quite a bit, otherwise they are in great shape and I have worn them plenty. I wish they made a shoe specifically for pronators (over and under). These shoes are well deserving of the outstanding reviews. Thank you Brooks and Zappos.

Although I’ve bought many shoes and boots from Zappos over the years, this is the first time I feel compelled to write a review. These Brooks Addiction Walkers have truly saved me! I have had a variety of issues for many years including plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, bursitis in my knees, and a chronically swollen left ankle. I’ve used custom orthotics for the past 20 years in all my shoes and boots. Without them I would be worse off. My doctors could not find anything clinically wrong with me, and I assumed it was from having to stand stationary at work for long hours. Then I tried these shoes. In about 3 days the swelling in the ankle disappeared, and in a week I was actually pain free for the first time in years. I did NOT use the orthotics in these shoes. I could tell when I first tried them on that they positioned my feet perfectly and immediately improved my gait. These shoes are designed for motion control yet they are so incredibly comfortable. Very stable platform, little if any toe drop, naturally rockered forefoot, medium arch support, and thick soles with nice cushion. My conclusion is that custom orthotics alone won’t compensate for a shoe without built-in control. I am enjoying walking once again. Standing at work is no longer an issue. I am truly amazed at how these shoes have changed my daily life. The only negative I’ve noticed after a month or more of wear is that they feel slippery on damp surfaces (like morning dew) but no so bad on fully wetted surfaces. No experience with snow or ice yet to report. And yes, they do run a half size small and a bit narrower too. I got mine almost a whole size longer and wider because I wear them with thick socks, and they are still slightly loose and roomy, but I prefer that. Even being a bit large, there is no noticeable heel slip or toe drag. Build quality is very good. The Nubuck synthetic leather looks good enough for a casual work shoe but best of all doesn’t seem affected by water. Rain initially looks like it soaks in, but within minutes it is dry and stain free. What more could you ask for?

My husband has been wearing these shoes from a shoe store that fits shoes specifically for your intended use. He wanted a good pair of walking shoes for Winter and this was what he got. That was several years ago and he decided it was time to get another pair. The old shoes are still usable but the arch support is not as good as it once was. These old shoes have hundreds of miles on them. I looked on Zappos to see if they carried these shoes and was delighted to find them. He is now the happy owner of a new pair of his very comfortable cool weather walking shoes. These shoes are all leather so they tend to be hot in the summer.

My 5th pair of addiction walkers. Started a new job with a brutal time walking ,climbing etc. Finished first year on my old ones, and ordered these for my second year. These shoes are a godsend.

Nice shoe. Very comfortable. Good support. Had to increase size by one notch for perfect fit; this is always a potential issue with shoes purchased online; the switch was trouble-free.

These are great shoes but they run narrow. I've never worn wide shoes before but when I bought a new pair of these, I decided I needed a EE width for this average size 10 guy.

I have been a Brooks fan for years! I wear a size 15 4E and when I buy a pair of Brooks, they fit perfect out of the box! Brooks are a little pricey but they will outlast other brands that I have used in the past like Nike or New Balance. I would rather pay that little extra for something that is amazing than keep spending money on something that I will just replace in a matter of months. I own Brooks Beast and the Walkers. I plan on purchasing another running shoe for the summer! Feel free to contact me anytime, I will still have my Brooks!

Excellent shoes! I've had these shoes going on 2 months now. I'm on concrete 10 hours a day and walk approximately 10 miles a day. Feet and knee pain are gone! I will definitely buy another pair. I wear 12/4E and they're true to size!

I can only hope they will maintain the quality of this product and not change it. It seems that is usually the new way of doing business these days. Just leave this shoe as it is! Have not had my feet to feel so comfortable. They are great for walking and you can immediately feel the arch support. It is not about the looks, it is about the comfort and keeping a person's foot healthy. Brooks, keep up the good work! Please do not change this product. Please! Very good and well made shoe. A very satisfied customer. I've been searching for years.
