We have been averaging about 20,000 steps a day in Italy and my husband is in heaven. Very comfortable, well cushioned, soles absorb the hard stone streets.

great walking shoe

The Brooks Addiction Walker is the best! I am now on my 4th consecutive pair. Super comfortable and affordable. I have several different foot issues, including exceptionally high arches. These shoes give tremendous support and are just perfect!

These shoes fit great. All around they are the best walking shoes ever. Better than New Balance and better than any other Brooks shoe. They fit orthotics very well, they are very supportive and cushiony and overall just a great shoe. I hope that they never stop making them because I don't know what I would do!!!!! Excellent for arthritic feet, bone spurs on big toe, hallux limitus and hallux rigidus. You can not go wrong if you buy them. Zappos is the best shoe store on the web and without them I would not be very happy!

I've just returned from walking through the Tuscan countryside for about five weeks. My total mileage was over 200 miles. There were very few flat places and the majority of miles were completed on hills. The Brooks walkers were brand new at the outset of my trip. I have to say that they performed excellently. No issues what so ever. I've been a runner for over fifty years and initially thought my Brooks running shoes would be just fine. I purchased the addiction walkers for what I thought would be 'backups'. It was the best move I could make. They proved superior to my Ghost running shoes. They were more stable and provided comforting support during the entire trip. No foot or knee problems at all. These walkers looked very sharp and dressier than my running shoes. If I had to nit pick, I would say they are a bit on the heavy side but caused no difficulty with endurance or pain. Great item!!!!

I have wide feet and liked this in the W. Also available in 1/2 sizes. Ran 100% true to size (thanks Zappos for letting me try 1/2 size up and 1/2 size down on same order).

Purchased these for my husband who is on his feet a lot for his job. He said they are very comfortable and make his feet and legs feel much less tired at the end of the day. Win for us!

The shoes fit well and are very comfortable

These are the only shoes my husband can wear due to foot problems. They are true to size and comfortable due to increased width.

Husband loves the fit, slightly wide foot and these work for him. These are the one shoe he ask for specifically.

These are great shoes for the issues that Brooks advertise for. These deliver pain relief and good balance. Also, they are very sturdy and provide unparalleled support. The feeling is superior. I bought them twice now and it's well worth the money for the pain relief that I feel. 5 stars. They look nice too. I call these shoes my Cadillacs.

I needed wide size (EE), but the returns and re-order process was great. They are very comfortable. Great walking shoe.

This is my 7th or 8th pair of these. I used to work 10 hour shifts standing in place basically. These are the only she's I wore and they stopped up to the punishment. I have seriously bad feet. Really high arches, super wide feet, bunions etc.. These accommodate orthotics. I have to wear men's shoes because women's don't come wide enough for my feet. Unlike other companies like new balance, Brooks doesn't change style numbers if the shoes are good. I've never been disappointed in these shoes. Also thank God for Zappos. Great easy service. Good amount of stock. Easy delivery and returns. Best ever. I've ordered shoes from them for years without any problems at all.

Fit and size just as I as I wanted. I've bought this same shoe at least 3 times after being fitted to them by a former physical therapist turned shoe fitting store owner. (Of course, my existing foot/knee problems may not match yours.)

Very solid shoe for walking and hiking

First bought this shoe about four years ago and have bought it at least 5 times since then. Great shock-absorbing with decent support, my formerly calloused feet are baby soft and my knees no longer hurt. My only beef with the shoe is the adhesive on the small lip that protects the front of the shoe is weak and every pair I've had has seen that lip come away from the shoe. A couple of drops of crazy glue fix that, and then the shoe is good as new.

The Shoes are Awesome I work in the service industry and have different foot problems, I love that I can put my orthotics in them and feel comfortable while on my feet. The shoes are light weight and I still have traction on slippery floors even though they are not skid proof.

This is my second pair of this exact shoe and I will buy these again when this pair wears out. I have been doing a lot of walking lately in an effort to be more active and lose weight. I tried to go with some less expensive shoes that were more suited for off road/trail walking which I do for 2 miles per day and ended up with a foot injury from one or them that left me unable to walk for almost a week. The other pair of sneakers I bought (highly rated walking shoes per internet reviews) rubbed my big toe on both feet to the point where I could not wear them for more then 20 minutes. So, I spent more money on these shoes but the new pair felt just as good as the old pair and I was able to resume normal 4.5 miles per day walk with my happy dog. These shoes fit well, are firm/strong to provide good side to side support, they are not to wide as some other shoes I have tried. All in all, best sneakers I have found right out of the box.

Best shoe I ever bought until I bought the Brooks Beast. That was even more comfortable, as it has a higher arch support. But I love them both.
