It's an ugly shoe, over all. I needed some black leather shoes for nursing school, and just had knee surgery. I needed something to help my flat feet that would be super comfortable. These definitely fit the bill. They're ugly, and expensive, but VERY comfortable.

These are amazing. I have long (14) and narrow (AAA) feet and the sizing is perfect for me with the cotton athletic socks I wear. Do not hesitate to buy these for walking or just general use (they are not really built to run in). I will be buying another pair soon to have in reserve. (That's what you have to do when you have hard-to-fit feet!)

The fit and size are right on, the material of the shoe is great it stands up to every day walking. I use the shoes for work mainly but also wear them for everyday. They are light weight and give me the support I need for my feet, I really like them and will continue to buy them and I tell others about them.

These shoes are the absolute best for a flat foot / no arch person who over pronates. BUT, they ain’t pretty!! LOL truthfully tho’, given how far shoes have come and how “personalized” of a fit people are able to achieve, I would think there’s something Brooks could do to revolutionize the look of these Herman Muenster style shoes. The fit is excellent and the arch support is thru the roof awesome but I can’t bring myself to wear them in public as the last shred of dignity I have left regarding footwear still exists. PLEASE make this shoe is mesh for the summer months. Seriously, who want to wrap their hot feet in 5 lbs of leather & rubber all summer long?

My husband loves these shoes! He is on his feet 12-15 hours a day and these shoes are very comfortable. Thanks Brooks for a great pair of shoes!

These are the fourth pair I've purchased . Best walking shoe I 've ever had !

Ever since I started purchasing these shoes for my husband several years ago, he refuses to wear any other shoes! Great support and corrects his over pronating. He is on his feet on concrete all day long and swears by their comfort. The look is great and he finds them very comfortable. The only complaint is the smooth soles tend to be slippy, I wish they could correct that problem.

Comfort from the first step! I walked about 6.5 miles the first day wearing these, and no problems at all.

Excellent support all around! Arch support sits in the arch area, no pressing on other areas of the foot. Good, stable support on the outside of the shoe, keeping your foot from rolling, but without making your foot feel pushed or unnatural. Overall great shoe, could just use a little more cushion, but I’m changing from Hoka Bondis, so most probably would feel it has plenty.

I bought these for my dad. This is the only shoe he will wear. It works great with his brace and gives him Comfort. These shoes are very durable!

With my particular shoe size (12 1/2 4E) , these shoes have proved a perfect fit and function time after time. Brooks' consistency is truly appreciated and you've a customer for life!

So very happy with this purchase. My new custom inserts are working great with these shoes. Everyone should try them out. Your feet will thank you.

These are my husbands favorite shoes. He wears them every day, wears newer pairs for "dress" shoes. He has a Morton's neuroma and flat feet and really there are very few shoes he can wear without pain. He is down to the last box of new shoes so I am ordering more tomorrow. WE voth LOVE this shoe although he would think saying LOVING a shoe is weird--it is the only shoe and I have tried multiple brands- that he can wear all day with no foot pain. He puts an orthotic in them for his flat feet and those fit fine. So today I am reordering some more.

I've had them for a week now and walk my dog in them every day for about an hour and a half over hilly terrain. Very comfortable and feel good. I wear my orthotics over the insoles that came in the shoes and may experiment with replacing the insoles with the orthotics and separately trying out Superfeet insoles, but very happy with the shoe so far.

I have a light case of plantar fasciitis. This shoe was recommended and is working great to help me heal. Not a complaint, but it does occasionally strike my ankle bone so it would be nice if the sides of the shoe were slightly lowered. Didn't give style five stars, but when your heal hurts with every step, style isn't even a consideration.

Very solid shoe, never wear Nike again. These shoes will outwear Nike by miles and much better support

I feel good wearing these shoes at my work. For years I had stayed wearing Rockport shoes for work, but I like these Brooks addiction walkers better. They have better cushioning. I've been wearing them for a week now at work. I have a more narrow foot, so choose the narrow size and they are fitting great for me.

I bought a pair of black Brooks Walkers at a retail store several years ago (5?). I wear them nearly every day and they're still holding up fine. I wear them as everyday shoes and for walking, of which I do a lot. However, my wife says black doesn't go well with my non-black chinos, and my daughter says they look like "policeman's shoes." I have nothing against looking like a policeman, but I decided to buy a new pair anyhow, this time in nubuck. I've worn them now for a week or so and they're great. The size is as advertised, they're very light, and extremely comfortable. You can't go wrong.

Beautiful shoe, but ran short for me and will re-order a half size longer. The outer sole seems to be what I need on slick sidewalks.

The sneaker fits perfectly and provides great support. Highly recommended.

Most comfortable walking shoes out there for overpronators. Liked them so much I ordered another pair in white and will be ordering a third pair in black.

Brooks, great shoe for the price. Durable, good fit and nice look.
