These are my first Brooks walking shoes. Formerly, I walked with Reebok DMX Max and DMX 3.0. I purchased two pair of the Brooks Addiction Walker: the brown nubuck and the black. These shoes are light-years better than my previous walking shoes. First off, they come in multiple widths. They fit my narrow feet like they are part of my body. Neither pair needed any breaking in, and both feel equally great, even though the uppers of the black ones and brown ones are made from totally different material. My previous shoes had hard-sounding soles that "klopped" along when I walked, but these Brooks shoes are ninja-silent. There is better-than-average arch support for my flat feet — good enough not to purchase extra insoles like I usually do. And the simple sole pattern doesn't pick up every crumb of dirt and blade of grass like some shoes. If Brooks keeps making them like this, I will never fitness walk in anything else.

They help my planter fasciitis alot. They cost less then others I have used.

I wear these shoes (color nubuck) to work with casual khaki slacks. They are extremely comfortable and they look nice too. I really love them. I guess the best proof of how much I love these shoes is that I stocked up with three extra pairs just in case this model is discontinued by Brooks.

I have a wide foot, especially the toes. I extra wide shoe has plenty of room for my toes, but isn't loose. This is a nice sturdy shoe, expecially for someone who needs either a wide or extra wide shoe. I wear this for daily use, walking, and even tennis.

I bought two pair a couple of years ago and just bought two more pairs. I need to wear an all black shoe that is quiet. And of course they need to be comfortable. I wear them everyday all day, walking over five miles. They are durable. I have tried several other brands trying to get a shoe that meets all my needs. Nothing comes close, these Brooks Addiction Walkers excel in every category. But I also wanted to review my ordering experience tonight -- also 5 Stars. I had a question about how to order online so I called the customer service 24/7 line to get my question answered and finish my online order. My credit card had expired and I was going to update that too. However the nice lady said she would handle the order and did a super job. Great customer service and exceptional attitude. It's Monday night at 9:10 pm, my shoes will be delivered Wednesday. Excellent shoes, excellent customer service.

Best walking shoe I've ever had !!

This is my second pair of addiction walkers. I work in retail and am on my feet all day and these are the most comfortable shoes i have ever had.

This is the second pair of Brooks Addiction Walkers I've bought in a month. The first pair (brown) are the most comfortable shoes I can ever remember wearing (in my 68 years). This second pair (black) fit like the first. I thought my feet were impossible to fit (12.5 A or B), but thankfully I was wrong, and thankfully I discovered these great shoes.

Very comfortable walking shoe with excellent balance support. I feel more steady walking in these shoes. First pair of Brooks shoes I have tried and I am happy with them! Would highly recommend if you need a strong supportive shoe, Thank you!

Shoes are working. Again, impressed with Zappos, easy to work with.

Just what I needed. Great relief for standing and walking longs periods of time. Zappos was perfect, fast shipping, perfect/new products (unlike what get from others). Highly recommend them.

My feet immediately fell in love. Internal cushioning and super soft leather lining make the shoes incredible comfortable right from the beginning, with no break-in time. I wear the Beasts in the summer and these in the winter.

I love these shoes, however it seems that some styles that are the same size are bigger than others! It is very strange but kind of like trying on the same pair of jeans and some fit others don't. I'm going to wait a while and order another pair. I know I ordered the correct size and I got what I ordered but they were bigger than the others of the same size! I will try again.

From history I always knew my feet are impossible to fit (12.5 B) - until now. These are unquestionably the most comfortable shoes I've worn in 40 years or more. I read all the reviews, and with a skeptical perspective I ordered a pair, expecting to return them. I am not at all disappointed; in fact, I will probably order another pair in another color. As stated, they are not slip resistant, and knowing that, I won't be wearing them out on the ice, but I've already worn them in the snow with no problems. These are quality shoes.

This is my fifth pair of Addictions. Hard wearing, solid, comfortable platform. I have a repaired ankle that pronated and this shoe has been the best I could buy. Customer service from Brooks is always there to answer questions.

Very comfortable walking shoe.

Great walking shoes. This is about my 10th or 12th pair of these. I used to get the black ones for work. I stood for 10 hours a day with no problem. I have very wide feet and have too wear the men's 4e. They're very comfortable right out of the box. I'm a woman so the style isn't exactly wonderful, but who cares when they're comfortable and your feet don't hurt. I prefer the white color, but it's been out of stock so I got the brown. They kind of look like boots so they're ok. I use orthotics in these. I'd definitely recommend them for people with feet problems or for walking. Great support for walking. No for pain at all when walking.

The shoe fit and felt great except for the ankle area. My significant other has one swollen ankle from numerous sprains. He's looking for a shoe for overpronation that either does not rub on the ankle bone or a six inch high zipper boot with expandable Gore Tex that would provide ankle support. He LOVES the Brooks Beast, but needs a pair of plain black shoes for work. The Beasts only come in blue, white and multi color..... Thank you Zappos for allowing him to find shoes that fit comfortably and properly. If he didn't have the ankle problem, the Comfort would be a five star.

Finally a sneaker that my boyfriend feels his feet are comfortable in! He works in the trades and is on his feet a lot. He needed a good pair of sneakers that did not crush is wide toes. Thank you!

These are the best brand of shoes you can buy. I've bought so many pairs of them and have had no problems with them. I have very wide feet so I have to buy a men's 4e. Also high arches. I wear orthotics. I take out the insert and use my own orthotics. I used to stand 10 hours a day in these and had no problems with other pairs. The minute I put these new shoes on, my feet went aah. I walk every day and walked a mile and a half the first day I got them. Work recommend for anyone with sore feet.

I received them,minutes ago from UPS,,immediately put them on,,just marvelous,,sooooo comfortable,,toe box just right,,very cushiony all over,,there's enough tread underneath for many many walks,,since I walks almost everywhere,everyday,,my feet have always carried me,,bout time I take great care of my feet,as I get more seasoned in my years of living,,now to purchase the other colors,,and stick to Brooks as my walking,sometimes running shoe Brand.

Best fit for me that I've found so far. With the support that I need. I ditch the arch supports in favor of my own orthotics. I wear these nearly every day and am now back for another pair.
