I've bought 3 pairs of these over the years. Super comfortable. I walk anywhere from 2-5 miles on these every day at work. My only complaint is that they are not slip resistant...they are ridiculously slippery on wet tile (other shoes I've owned gripped fine). Hopefully they'll improve that in the future.

I had been purchasing New Balance running shoes to use as everyday walkers every 18 months for the last several years, but I thought I would check out these Walkers because I thought they would be more durable. Man, was I WRONG! They were fine for 7 months, then the arches completely collapsed. I contacted the company to report a defective product and this is what I received as a response: "When used for its intended purpose, Brooks footwear has an expected life of 300-500 miles or 4-6 months." That's right, $120 for a pair of shoes that will only last 4 months! I recommend everyone avoid this company and their low quality products.

I have ordered my Brooks Addiction shoes from Zappos for years. My doctor told me about these shoes and I have been satisfied with the shoes and your service. I no longer have feet or knee problems. It is amazing!

I am a runner and experienced a major tendon inflammation. Part of my recovery through my podiatrist was to wear the Brooks Addiction. The shoes have been great. I have a major flat arch or I am a under archer. The shoe offers great sideway movement control. I wear a A to B width shoe and the sizing is perfect. The shoe support through the arch area of the shoe is great. I also did replace the insoles that came with the shoe with superfeet insoles. If you do a lot of walking these shoes will help. My tendon is doing great and I will always wear the Brooks Addiction whenever possible.

Before I first ordered the Brooks Walker I read the reviews. Some reviewers said the shoe ran small, and to order 1/2 to 1 whole size up, so I did. Big mistake, this shoe was true to size. The only thing I must mention is that if you have flat feet like me, a wide width is a must. Kudos to Zappos for having patience with me, and letting me find my perfect shoe.

The soles might look a little clunky but they the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn.

These shoes are wonderful, supportive and have bought 2 more pairs to make sure I have a pair in reserve! I am a retired female (65) buying these as Brooks only goes to a women/12N and I need a 13N. So I went to a man's/11-B and they are perfect. I've had surgery on both feet and found these shoes to be the best with orthotics. I am afraid of them discontinuing them so bought extra pairs. I will give them 5 stars rating. Hope this helps anyone out there.

These are GREAT shoes! I have worn them for about 6 months so can comment on them from that perspective. Shortly after buying I used them as my only pair in a month-long trip to Norway that involved a lot of walking, and never found them anything less than comfortable. In other words, no sores or abrasions. They are a combination of rugged yet well padded and thus are very protective in both ways. I was not sure if I would like the style -- buc tan with 7 lace holes! Well, being tan they have a casual but attractive look. Having 7 laces allows for very personal tightening and comfortable fit. Finally, the rugged raised heel does add just a bit of the height I've lost over my 75 years. Please buy them so that I will be able to get another pair (if I ever do need to do so). RR

I've had mine over a year. They are simply the best. They give max comfort and support. I love the brown nubuck.

I work on a hospital campus. I walk 3 miles a day at least. Over time, I developed foot problems, pain, numbness. I switched to these sneakers instead of dress shoes. They come in wide, have incredible sole cushioning and have eliminated all pain in my feet. (Still have numbness from Morton's neuroma - can't undo nerve problems). Anyway, I now buy these about once every 6 months and relegate the older pare to household use and lawn mowing. My neighbor across the street complained of Planters Facetious in the AM... couldn't walk upon getting out of bed... I told him to try these - sent him the link... no he buys them as well and is pain free. He said it was live-changing. Anyway - why I buy them every 6 months... well I walk a lot and in 6 months the cushioning goes from walking on a cloud to something very comfortable, but a little less. SO, I thin use them for around the house another 6 months. I have bought these probably 6 times and will continue to. They are black, so they can pass when wearing a suit. They are wide, if you want, which is good for people with foot issues. I Could not recommend these more highly - it is all I wear for daily use and has solved my foot, knee and back issues )all resulting from bad footwear. If you're thinking, Gah! This guys wears sneakers with a suit!! Yup! And expensive suits, at that... it is function over form... I can't live in pain, these solve the problem, and as they are black, they don't stand out.

I bought these for my husband for an upcoming trip where we'll be walking a lot. He loves them and said they feel great but not yet put to the real test. He usually wears wide but I had to reorder the extra wide.

I am a woman with big feet, so often need a men's size 11½N.My podiatrist told me about these shoes. They provide maximum stability in the heel and sole (will not twist or turn), accommodates orthotics, and has plenty of toe box room. They are not exactly beautiful - but comfort and stability are great to have from a shoes. Also they come in widths.

I bought a pair of Brooks running shoes last year and love them even though all I do is walk in them. So, I thought I'd give these walkers a try. They are fantastic. I am a big guy with wide feet and use ortho inserts. These are my new favorite shoes. I plan to buy another pair soon.

Great shoes! Super comfortable from minute one. A little warm, which I'm very sensitive to and don't like. But the correction of pronation and buoyancy far outweigh that. Also, they look like very good walking shoes. I was worried about how they'd look, and I've already gotten a compliment on them from a stranger. I definitely recommend these shoes. Also the sneakers, which are cooler because they have mesh on top: I've been wearing them for a few years, and they look like new. The Rollbars make it unnecessary for me to wear my orthotics, which correct much less well for pronation.

I am a mail carrier and I use these shoes for work. I walk about 15 miles a day and these shoes provide excellent comfort and support. They last for about 6 months which isn't bad for the amount of miles I put on them. Won't wear any other shoe for work.

The white seems to hold up better than the black haven't tried to Brown yet

Best casual shoes I've ever owned. At 220 lbs. I feel they offer great support. Great shoes Brooks, as I'll buy another. I've always looked for a casual shoe that feels like a running shoe and this shoe meets that. Also, great color with the brown.

This is my second pair in eight years, and my first narrow width (B) sneaker type shoes in many years. They are truly comfortable walking shoes that I wear with orthotics. They are highly recommended.

They are great. However, they run a half size smaller than what you would normally wear. I wear a size 10. I had to send them back for a size 10.5 very comfortable short.

I've had several of these. Great shoes. Only problem has been with the white ones for some reason. They squeak when walking. Rather annoying. Black and brown don't have this problem. Go figure.

These have an excellent feel and comfort, and my feet felt like they were encased in cotton.

I've been wearing these shoes for years. I used to stand on my feet for 10 hours a day. They were very comfortable. I wear these all the time now.I'm a woman and these are not too bad style wise. I have very wide feet and have to wear men's shoes to get wide enough. They're great for walking. I've bought so many and they're all the same. Great quality control. Keep up the good work Brooks.
