I just got these shoes in the mail and love the color! The top of the shoe (where the laces tie) looks a little unfinished. I do not care for that look but now that I look at the picture it is accurately portrayed. This shoe is narrow on the sides but has plenty of toe room! Fits really well!

Comfy shoes, but I wish they came in half sizes. I have big feet, 11 was too small 12 is a tad too big. I decided to keep the 12 because they are cute and great for schlepping around!

The shoes fit well, but are not as wide as NB 811s. They are lighter weight and flexible, but I will have to get the toe box stretched out so they are comfortable for my D width feet.

I didn't expect the sneaker to be quite so incandescent and the gray looks truer in the photo.

Very cute and comfortable. Just remember that these are not as supportive as gym or walking shoes. They are comfort and fashion oriented. But a great value and glad I bought them.

Zappos has become my new best friend. Well, not really but they did make my day. I ordered these on June 7th and got them on June 9th. I actually got them on the 8th but I wasn't home to get them. Zappos upgraded my shipping to priority for no apparent reason other than to be nice and at no additional cost to me! Awesome! About the shoes - they are incredibly comfortable and they can go with just about anything. My only complaint is a very minor one, and it's probably just because of the shape of my foot but at the top of the shoes where the toes are there's a little wrinkle by the last 3 toes. I guess it's like that to maximize comfort, the shoes aren't too stiff but it can look a little weird if you stare at it for long. And as always with this version of New Balance water gets into them pretty easily so don't wear them on a soggy day.

This shoe is not true to size. I LOVE New Balance, but I think it runs a bit short!

Works for me because I wear orthotics. Otherwise would not recommend because no arch support. Needed a wide to foot arch supports. Unfortunate not available in other colors in d width.

I am writing a more recent review of the women's New Balance 574 because the reviews that are showing up most prominently are very old. New Balance sneakers have changed in the past several years since many of these reviews were published. I wear a women's size 9. I have long, narrow feet. My older New Balance 574s (which I purchased from Zappos) are size 9. They fit well and the quality is exceptional. They are still in great condition despite me having worn them more than many of my sneakers. (I have a pretty large shoe collection.) They are approximately 5 or 6 years old. Fast-forward to 2016, the last time I purchased New Balance 574s and I've noticed that I am not only buying them a half-size larger (for additional toe room), I am not liking the fit, color combinations nor the style anymore. That may be a personal thing, but I'm noticing that retailers seem to be shying away from stocking 574s as much as they used to. This may be a contributing factor. Nike is manufacturing a lot of great running shoes that are both lightweight and comfortable (like the Nike Tanjun), and they are more stylish and less expensive than New Balance. 574s have become rather clunky to me and just overall not as comfortable or attractive as they once were. I'm not sure what New Balance has changed re: the manufacturing of the shoe, but their changes are not favorable IMO.

I was really disappointed in these. I was looking for a cheaper alternative to the 993s, which are my go-to shoes for standing and walking (especially while traveling). The 993s are crazy expensive, and the insides are not very durable (the heel cup shreds and causes blisters far before the rest of the shoe deteriorates), but they are super comfortable. And new Balance has discontinued them. Unfortunately, the 574s are poorly made in comparison. The tongue is oddly narrow, the footbed is hard and lumpy, and the heel cup comes up very high, is stiff and rubs. I wear an 11 in street shoes and an 11½ or 12 in proper running shoes from Nike and Brooks, and the 11 in these (and the 993s) fit great. According to the reviews, these obviously work for lots of people, unfortunately, they just did not for me. At all.

Wish I had given the 7 another test run before settling for the 7.5, my usual size, and wearing them outdoors. I have slightly wide feet, went with the medium width, and these are so huge in the toe box. So much that I often am tripping over my own feet. There is so much vertical room over my toes that the mesh material is rippled and not very fitted-looking like I'd prefer. I might not recommend these for serious running, but they'd probably be good for treadmilling and other aerobics once you get your own fit right.

I bought this shoe in September 2011. I've worn them maybe three times a month for exercise walking. The suede is just falling apart. The suede has completely separated for 5 inches on the right shoe exposing the inside fabric. There was a small separation I noticed after a few wearings but I had gotten rid of the box and decided to keep them. I should have sent them back then. The left shoe is now starting to break down now, too. I'm rather disappointed. I know they are not extremely expensive shoes but I've not been hard on them. Surely the manufacturer intended for them to last longer than 6 or 7 months.

I was swayed by the descriptions of how nice this shoe looks and it does! They are all right. But it is just not comfortable for wearing all day. For me, I felt there was no arch support at all.

I like the design of this shoe but the rear is kind of flimsy so it's not one of those shoes you can just slip on. It also has a thin layer of mesh at the front and it the shoe just seems like it's made of minimal material. That's my only complaint.

Very cute sneaker! However, I returned them because they weren't as well made as and didn't offer the overall support of the New Balance WW846.

Cute color, but stiff & not much arch support or any supportive feel like I usually find in NB.

True to size (I got a 7). Very comfortable and go with everything casual. Easy to work out in, but not specialized for athletics.

I had decision fatigue over which NB classic to order. I am so glad I picked the W574! I was looking for comfort, style, and support, as I have dealt with planter fasciitis in the past. These make great every day shoes and are very supportive. I will be buying them in different colors

You can't go wrong with these. Great for hospital work or casual sneakers on the go.

These are my go-to run around shoes. They are cute and comfy. I wear a 9.5, and these run true to size. Great neutral color--they are more of a sandy green with a grey hue. Perfect heading into spring!

I love these shoes! However, there are a few things to note. I wear a 8.5 in most sneakers and running shoes. I wear a 9 in Nike. I got a 9 and these and they fit perfect. I could not go any smaller. Also, the tongue sort of sticks up a little funny and hits kind of high on your ankle. But other than that these shoes are exactly what I was looking for. I got the black and they are perfect to wear to class with leggings and a casual top. I wore them on a trip to Washington DC recently where I walked 9+ miles a day. They were super comfortable! I have problems with my arch hurting in some shoes but not in these. I love them!

I keep buying these shoes because I love them. However, I usually wear a 9 but I have to wear a 9 1/2 in New Balance.
