Very cute classic shoes. The back is really high and rubbed on my ankle within 5 minutes of wearing so back they go.

I was looking for a pair of cool tennis shoes for wearing around the house and for running errands but didn't want them to look too much like a running shoe. I have plantar fasciitis so need arch support. I started with a Saucony pair and they were way too flat. These provide more heel and arch support than the Saucony's but still not as much as I would like. I kept them because they are cool looking but will be buying inserts for my arches. Great for wearing with jeans. If arches aren't a problem for you, these would probably be a great shoe. Not enough arch and heel support for me.

I bought a similar style from New Balance last year a half size larger and wide with instead of medium and they fit fine. These are short in the toe, long at the heel and tight. Can not figure out what size I would be so just returning them.

Way too small in every direction. The sole is really stiff, it is difficult to bend and is not at all soft to walk on. Even if they had fit I would have had to send them back.

I purchased these sneakers in the end of September and was excited that they fit with my extra cushy insoles that I wear for tendinitis. However, two months in and the suede has already ripped on the exterior of the shoe near the sole. I'd only buy another pair out of desperation.

I love the style but that's where my relationship with this shoe stops, unfortunately. I love NB shoes. I use them for jogging, walking, working out, and just regular day to day life...but I was looking for something more stylish and complimentary to my day to day outfits that would also offer the same support I've loved in NB shoes. I have fallen arches....heck, my feet are as flat as the day is long! This shoe feels like there is NOTHING under my arch at all and when I walk in them my feet lean inward toward my arches as if I'm on the edge of some cliff...not good for my ankles at all. Sigh. I really wanted to like these. Why can't NB make their great supportive athletic sneakers in complimentary everyday colors too, instead of just the loud and wild colors I've always ended up having to get?

I purchased this New Balance Classics W574 and found it was a bit boxy looking. I thought about returning them but decided against it since the price was reasonable and it appeared to be comfortable when I tried them out at home. It turned out to be a mistake. After walking a short distance on the city pavements, I found it gave me shin splints. They do not have enough cushion to absorb shock. I'm now searching for a reasonably priced replacement.

I bought the 574 Classic from Zappos last JUly or early August. They were very comfortable except for feeling a little short. I should have returned them. They came apart (the left shoe especially) after moderate use. I've never had a pair of atheletic shoes do that. I have two pairs of Nike Airs that won't give it up after 10 years of daily walking and I bought the New Balance only in case they did. What a disappointment!

These sneakers made my heels BLOODY after only 10 minutes of wear. It was really disappointing because these sneakers are supposed to be NB's most comfortable shoe.

Yet again, another New Balance shoe that has some day-to-day style but that is unbelievably untrue to size and horribly uncomfortable. I wear a size 7D (higher end of D towards EE but not measuring EE). This 7D shoe was so narrow and pinched so much that I had to remove them immediately. I would not have been able to walk 1/4 mi in these without horrible pain from them squeezing my feet. New Balance has been disappointing as of late with styles that are not running true to size. They may be high on style but they fit narrow and lack the comfort aspect. It is doubly disappointing because had they even made this shoe in an extra wide, I'm not sure that even that would be wide enough. If you are a wide width, and especially if you are on the higher end of the D width spectrum I would caution you that these run very narrow. Returning.

I wanted to like this show but it felt like I was wearing cement bricks on my feet. I wear a wide and these were definitely not wide enough in though the shoe was marked wide. These are going back.

Although these shoes are considered classic, the fit is not classic at all. I've worn New Balance shoes in a wide width for years without any issue. However, the Classics W574 shoes have changed completely. The wide width shoe has a very narrow width and looks more like a running shoe. In my size, 9W, I felt as though my feet were being squeezed on the sides. I'm not sure what prompted New Balance to change the design of wide width shoes, but it is a step in the wrong direction (no pun intended). Needless to say, I'm returning them.

These shoes were such a big disappointment. I saw them on Pinterest loved their simple look, but weren't very impressive in person. Aside from that, the suede around the front of the shoe is of extreme poor quality. After only 2 weeks, my toes had ripped through. I thought it might have been a lemon pair so I exchanged them for the same pair, and again, two weeks into wearing them, my toes ripped a hole through the suede! Was able to exchange them for a different brand.

I was very disappointed in these shoes. I love the basic look of them as well as the feel but after 2 weeks the leather ripped with no apparent cause. I exchanged them for a new pair (same shoe, same color, gray/white) and again, 2 weeks after wearing them the leather ripped again but this time the rip was twice as big! I'm in the process of returning those too. I would not recommend this style of shoe to anyone, unfortunately, because I do like the way they look and they are comfortable shoes. They're just using rotten leather, plain and simple.

I'm going to try Nike Pegasus 83's as their replacement.

First I wear 8½ usually, but ordered a 9 and it fits like an 8. Also, the shoes are very cheap seeming and very uncomfortable. They do not look as good as the picture does. These are bad shoes in my opinion. I am 65 and demand comfort as well as attractiveness for these prices.

They're very cute, but this model seems to run small. All of my other size 7 shoes fit perfectly, but these are tight around the toes and do not seem to break in. I want to return them, but they seem just worn enough that I probably won't be able to.

No support for high arches or wide feet. Disappointing. Back to the clunkers.
