Great boot! Very cute with skinny jeans. The boot is tight to take off but will stretch some. The quality of this boot is great and will last for years.

The shoes are beautiful.. I cannot wait to wear them in fall! They fit my feet perfectly (I did not order a size larger/smaller) and fit around my calves, which has been a problem for me in the past. My only worry is that there is not much grip on the sole, and in my 'practice runs' around the house I have slipped around a bit.

I was really excited to get these boots! They are very well made and fit over my large calves! Can't wait for cooler weather so I can wear these babies! Also to help with sizing, I wear a 8 1/2 and that's what I ordered. They fit great!

I love these boots. I got them for my birthday and very excited for fall to wear them! I can never find to the knee boots that fit me because I have very muscular calves but these fit perfect!

I am 5 feet 2 inches tall and I was worried that these boots were going to be too tall for me. They come up just under my knee. They would probably look a little better on a taller person, but I still love them. The saddle color is awesome and will look great with black or brown. I do normally wear a 7.5. but ordered a 7 in these because friends have told me that Frye runs 1/2 size large. They fit great.

Beautiful. I have very large 17" calf and struggled to get these on, too tight around my upper calf just below my knee. I ordered up thinking I might get more circumference, however the size of the footbed is way too big. I'm going to try my true size and see how that goes. Other than that, the boot is everything I've ever wanted with the highest quality material.

I do not have narrow feet by any means, so finding tall riding boots was somewhat difficult. Fortunately these boots were not too much of a struggle to pull on, and it only got easier as they got broken in. These boots are stylish, comfortable, and classic. I am 5'7" and they come a little past my knees, which I love. I highly recommend Frye for boots.

Beautiful casual boot as Frye usually does. Found the size 8 a good half size larger than similar Frye boots, especially in the heel area to where it was loose and difficult to walk in. Exchanged it for a 7.5 which fits much better in the heel, but is a bit snug at the width of the toes. Counting on it to stretch as good leather does and it will probably be fine.

I bought these boots November 2011. I really wanted a good pair of riding boots -- mostly for wearing with jeans and such -- and as soon as I pulled them out of the box I loved them. They smelled amazing (I never owned a real pair of leather boots before -- I always ordered just the cheap stuff). I wore them immediately and then all through the Thanksgiving holiday, and wore them every chance that I got. I will say, however that they are incredibly difficult to pull on and off on your own. There isn't a zipper, and there aren't any buckles. My husband had to pull them on and off for the first few months I was wearing them. As they have begun to soften, they have gotten much easier to pull on and off. But just be warned, it's a little disconcerting at first, when you can't get your boot off! However, they were worth the investment and I love them so much. I am 5'2", have a generally petite runner body (usually wear a size 2-4 in clothes) and they are a tiny bit overwhelming for my frame, but I like the look and I like the ruggedness. I wear them with jeans, mostly.

These are beautiful, comfortable, well made boots. I usually wear an 8.5, but after reading reviews, ordered an 8 and they fit perfectly. I'm 5'10" and the shaft height was just right. I have muscular calves but wide shaft boots can be too roomy. However, with the 16 inch circumference my skinny jeans easily tucked into these boots. I definitely had trouble getting them on, but used the slippery bag trick and they slid right on. I think after a few more wearings they'll adjust and I won't need to use the bag. If you haven't tried this, it works great. Use a bag like you get in the produce section of the grocery store and put it over your foot, sock and all. Usually, you will be able to easily slip your foot into the boot. I have high arches and have needed to use this method with other non-zipping boots.

I was so happy to find these wide calf boots (I have 16½ inch calves) that are still super stylish. The leather is beautiful, they look great with jeans and skirts. If you're looking for all leather boots to fit a wide calf and look no further! They do run a half size large. I wear a 7½ and bought a 7 for the best fit.

These boots are great; I love them! I haven\'t found that they need a whole lot of breaking in: very comfortable from the get-go. (Maybe a tiny bit of rubbing on the heel, but that\'s it.) They don\'t have a ton of arch support, but it hasn\'t bothered me all that much. They\'re great with leggings or jeans; I\'ve gotten tons of compliments on them. I waffled about the price a little bit before I bought them, but I\'m so glad I did. I am all for easy style, and these boots are it!

Love these boots! They look great with jeans or skirts. The quality is typical of my other Fryes. The gray color is nice for a casual boot as it is not quite as severe as the black. There is very little arch support so I added some inserts. I find them relatively easy to get on and off--- the boot straps help immensely! As far as how much space there is at the top. Measure your calves ladies before buying! It seems everyone thinks they have average calves.

These boots are awesome. I was deciding between these and the Veronica Slouch boot. In general, these are what I'm looking for. They're fancy enough that I could get away with wearing them to work on a Friday with jeans but also casual enough to wear around doing whatever. The fit on these is good. I have athletic calves (about 13.75" - 14.5" around depending on my puffiness & weight) so I tend to have trouble finding boots with a comfortable fit. These allow me to wear jeans or leggings underneath with the help of the pulls on the sides. They haven't hurt my feet at all although I will probably need some sort of arch support in there. On my 5'4" frame, they come up just below my knee. Perhaps due to my height, my husband was not crazy about them with certain dresses and tights, and I think we determined that the closer the hem of the dress is to the boots, the less he liked them with it. With a short dress, he thought it was flattering, but with one almost knee-length, the boots are too tall. So I guess it depends on what you intend to wear with them. As a note, I also tried the Saddle color hoping that it would be similar to the popular Madewell Archive Leather boots that I love (but sadly are just too tight on my calves because the leather is so stiff and there's no zipper). The color is much more of a gold orange than a brown orange. Very loud.

I love these boots, very comfortable. I can dress them up or down. And every time I wear them, I get a ton of compliments!

Beautiful boot. The leather is high quality. I ordered about 10 other boots over the past two months looking for the perfect pair of knee-high riding boots. I'm 6'1'' tall and I have an athletic leg with a large, muscular calf (17.5'' at the widest) and a skinny ankle. I've been having a hard time finding boots that fit my wide calf. These fit my calf well - a little tight at the top, but will stretch out. I agree with others that the boot is about a 1/2 size larger. I would go one size down, but I'm afraid it won't fit my calf if I do. I also have high arches and high insteps, making it difficult to get some pull-on style boots on. But I used a trick that another reviewer recommended - to put plastic bags over your feet to slide them on until they get stretched out. Considering my large calves and my high arches, I thought I would have more trouble getting these on, but they were fine and as soon as I wear them around, they will fit my leg/foot perfectly. As recommended by others, I'm going to have a cobbler put rubber taps on the bottom of the boot to decrease slippery-ness. I may also have them put in some additional cushioning into the boot itself - as they are a bit hard and flat. By far, the most well-made boot that I've ordered and tried on (and I've tried other high-end brands). This was a splurge, but these are boots that I will have forever - they are timeless.

My first pair of Frye boots. I'm amazed at the quality, compared to other brands I own. Based on a prior review, I immediately had my cobbler put rubber soles on, because I love them and want them to last! They fit very well and have been comfortable to walk in from the first. I was reluctant to buy knee-high pull-on boots, but the shaft width makes these easier to get on and off than others I had looked at. The gray color is so dimensional. I hope to be wearing these for a long time to come!

I wanted an updated tall flat heeled boot for this Fall. I love the distressed leather. It\'s comfortable out of the box. I have a narrow foot so my heel has a little movement, but nothing that bothers me.

Love these boots. Waited ages and finally bit the bullet, having searched for 6 months for something remotely comparable but half the price. Ultimately, as everyone\'s said, these are more than worth the money. Super comfortable, seem sized right (I\'m an 8-9, depending on style\/brand and the 8.5 fits me well), great color (mine is slightly more tan than the photo and I love it). I hope to wear these for decades.

I love these boots! Love them. My calves are on the heavy side and they fit perfectly. When they came, I pulled them on and danced around the house in them, I was so excited to have them. I have another pair of Fryes (the Dorados), so I was pretty sure they would fit. They do run a bit big in the foot, though, so in my experience, it's best to order a half-size down. I wear them with orthotics, though, so I need the extra room in the foot. Now, I just have to wait for the weather to cool off so that I can show them off. The only criticism I have is that they're a bit stiff through the ankle, but I'm hoping that they soften up with wear.

I finally broke down and bought these boots! I had been looking for a classic riding boot with a touch of an edge and found them in these Frye boots. I found them to be true to size - I wear a 9 and the 9 is perfect with just enough room to put on a heavy sock. They smell great, look amazing and are really comfortable. I am 5'6 and they come to about an inch or two below my knees. These boots are designed to be shown off - so short skirts, leggings, or skinny jeans will look amazing with these boots. I have a pair of Frye Campus boots so I know these are built to last and will look even better over time. A lot of money, yes, but worth every penny as I won't have to buy a new pair of boots each year!

I just received these boots, as usual from the amazing ZAPPOS overnight shipping! It's very hard for me to find boots I love that fit my calves. I have abnormally large calves. These, however, fit perfect. The 16 circumference is just right and doesn't make my calves look bigger as some boots do. So if you have larger calves, these are for you. Unfortunately, the price is high, but since I found a boot I love that fits my calves, I have to indulge and I'm keeping them. The foot does run a little large in length. I am normally an 8.5 in boots and there is room in the toe, but the width is on the narrow side for me...so that makes up the difference for me. Overall...they're fabulous and worth every penny...soft leather, sturdy but lightweight, too. I got the gray and I LOVE the color!

I got these boots just about a year ago and they look just as great as ever. Wearing them I feel stylish and comfortable. The leather is such high quality, the compliments never end! I definitely recommend them to anyone on the fence, they are worth the price!
